7.7 million people tell UN: "Climate change" is our lowest priority

Rebel Staff

The UN is basically a get-rich scheme for bureaucrats and lobbyists. One of their scams is "global warming." So it's weird that they'd tell the truth about it, even if by mistake.

The UN just surveyed 7.7 million people around the world, to "capture their priorities."

Education was number one, and better health care came second. That makes sense.

Then came employment, honest government and food security. No surprise.

The average person clearly cares about real, tangible, common sense things that could make their lives better.

What "priority" came in dead last, by a wide margin?

I bet you can guess...

A cruel joke to us, but it is life and death to many of the poor on this planet. How does humanity let companies, subsidized by governments, take foods such as corn, away from the mouths of the poor and try to make fuel out of it??

What surprised me was that, as a feminist, I didn’t choose equality between men and women as important as my top 6…that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a priority, but without the 6 – I chose, equality doesn’t matter. Political freedom (little is possible if we don’t have this), better job opportunities (enabling free enterprise), access to clean water and sanitation (or else we die), reliable energy at home (or else there is no industry/work), freedom from discrimination and persecution (this includes equality for all so no need to state it), and phone and internet access…the need for communication, especially in times of trouble….these were my 6…

Did I get it right? I think so…but just because the governments of the world know what people want…who thinks they want to give them to us unless we PAY…? I doubt many voted as I did…

To spare having to zip down the page…I copied from Ivan:
The UN survey is still up… http://www.myworld2015.org/
I did the survey:
The problem is that most of the voters probably don’t realize the need for political freedom…nothing is possible without that…and the UN is not an instrument that considers this important or they would support Israel as opposed to the Muslim countries…interpersonal communication is essential for people to mobilize when necessary…the quiz could have been more honed…it didn’t mention the type of government one wanted. But the subtle use of questions did isolate those who want the government to look after them as opposed to those who want to be self sufficient…It is scary how many have a desire for a nanny state and have lost the drive for independence…“better health care” indeed! It gets worse when the state comes in…and infinitely more expensive…more hidden costs and secret fiefdoms claiming the public dole…

I had a medication that was $6.00 until it was covered by a medical plan…the cost went up to $26.00…that was years ago…when there is a public purse the sky’s the limit….beware!

Dale, thank you, your insight into Maurice Strong’s extreme New World Order views is alarming. It is easy to see the early IPCC politicization of the Climate Change Religion in the early 90’s and the hidden agendas that are too slowing being exposed.
It is even scarier that his environmental Kool-Aid has been so willingly consumed by the brainless Leaders of the Western World.
We all have a duty to set the record straight within our own circle of influence.

Dale, boy you are right, Maurice Strong is the real deal, and he is still kicking. People should look him up .
It has actually been a slow boat, and now it has arrived and we are all going…what?

Lynda C. I agree we need to pay attention municipally as well, they are coming in all the doors and windows. From the floor up.

The UN is about 40 years past its “best before” date.

I’ve been saying for years that the UN is a cesspool of of social corruption, and we need to get out of the UN , and get the UN out of the country.

Thanks Ivan, I took the test/questioner

I’m not trying to suck up Ezra, but how can one person like yourself have more common sense than 99% of legislative bodies.

Oh, I almost forgot. Running their fossil fueled cars around in “Cities”. G.T.H. Rachel Notely and Brian Topp! Those of us who have brains are on to you!

The whole thing has been a scam from the get go to enable certain persons like Gore, Suzuki to get incredibly rich from tax dollars. No one from the “Climate Change/Global Warming” cabal has yet explained why Iceland and Greenland at the time of the Vikings were actually green, not mostly frozen like they are now. Must have been all those evil Conservatives in their fossil fuelled cars running around then………! Sarcasm Intended. And as those eco shrubs from Australia etc. learned last year, the Anarctic Ice Pack is growing as well which they got caught in! Lucky for them the Chinese had a breaker capable to rescue them! Personally, I would have left them there! Less eco freaks shreiking about Climate Change/Global Warming!

I just took their survey. They had no question about what we should do with the UN, I wonder why.
commented 2015-07-21 17:20:34 -0400
Who in the world actually needs the UN? It is a joke. It’s old and outdated and only useful for the wealthy Islamic terrorist tycoons wanting to rule the world. Get rid of it.

I took the survey as well. Thanks Ivan.

Who cares what 7.7 REAL people in the world think…..it is the handful of wealthy, self-hating downtown Vancouver/Toronto/San Francisco/New York white Liberals that know better….doncha know?

Over the past few years we have heard nothing but the ice caps are melting and the polar bears are going to be extinct shortly. The sky is falling scenario.

As I was flipping through the TV this morning, I heard a report on Toronto’s CP24 that the Arctic ice is growing and has grown by 1/3 in the past couple of years. Good news right ? Well, the news item was twisted around when the reporter read that the ice will soon melt again if we don’t do something about climate change. Talk about twisting things around to meet their narrative.

Maybe someone at the Rebel can check on that one as well.

Ivan, Thanks for the heads-up. I took the survey.

Peter, Endless debate about Nazis being left or right. I was taught that facism is the extreme opposite of socialism. Wynne is a socialist; ergo my comment to Ivan.

Prince, A story in the mainstream media about climate change? It must be true, then. Especially if the esteemed mayoralty of some of the world’s greatest cities have gotten together and said so.

Thanks, Ivan — filled out the “survey”, and added my vote to the 7.7 million.

Roger Pugh said, " label her a Nazi. I doubt that cap and trade would be something the far right would be interested in."

Nazi is far left. Hitler was socialist in the extreme.

After my daily dose of browsing The Rebel’s content I often feel angry, depressed, outraged, sad, etc. when I see all the crap that’s going on in our country and in the world, and all the mainstream news can broadcast is endless showings of some surfer having a fight with a shark or a cat playing the piano. This information is heartening and has certainly lifted my spirits. I do fear, however, that the eco-whacko, global warming alarmists will now take this as incentive to redouble their efforts in bombarding stupid people like us with their propaganda to save us from ourselves.

Dale Warren : thanks for the info.
City mayors and councilors are applying Agenda 21 throughout this Nation and we need to stop them. Get involved with local government and stop them from implementing these policies.
The push to stop free flowing auto and truck traffic is an example that can kill business and takes from free choice. Green or sustainable development are other catch phrases for Agenda 21. The creation of ever more regulations and control over our property and how we can make use of it.
Even backyard tree houses are heavily regulated now. And don’t get me started on recycling and trash removal.

Now to get this information to the disbelievers!

Mr. Johnson, I understand that you’re not a big fan of Wynne’s but I think it is inaccurate to label her a Nazi. I doubt that cap and trade would be something the far right would be interested in.

Dear UN,
I didn’t realize there was a survey. Please add me to the list. That’s 7.7 million plus 1.
I believe climate change is a lie. There is no money to be made if Al Gore shows off his charts and graphs to folks who are struggling to provide food and clothing for their families.
In developed nations, “climate change”, “global warming”, “green energy” – call it what you will; is a form of leverage used by left leaning governments to fund their pet projects. The resulting scams are designed to extract money from taxpayers in already overburdened jurisdictions in a less obvious way. Those who do not have the good sense to realize they are being hosed actually climb onto the bandwagon instead of complaining about the hit to their wallets.

Maurice Strong . . . most dangerous Canadian on the planet . . . appointed by PET . . .
Behind UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan stands the powerful Canadian multi-billionaire Maurice Strong. The founder of both the World Economic Council and Planetary Citizens, he has served as director of the World Future Society, trustee of the Rockefeller Foundation and Aspen Institute, and a member of the Club of Rome. As head of the Earth Council, he began to prepare an Earth Charter—a global code of conduct based on global values and radical environmental guidelines.

Strong led the 1992 “Earth Summit” in Rio de Janeiro (United Nations Conference on Environment and Development). It produced the controversial Biodiversity Treaty and Agenda 21 — the monstrous plan for reorganizing the world along environmental guidelines. One of his offices is only two blocks away from the White House.

Earth Charter unveiled in 02 . . . and guess who ?
The Charter’s founding proponents, Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong, both have referred to the Charter as a new “Ten Commandments” to guide the new age “global spirituality.” The religious overtone is intentional. Moreover, the Earth Charter backers, including Stephen Rockefeller, have fashioned an Ark of the Covenant look-alike “Ark of Hope” to house the “sacred” Charter. The Ar k was ceremoniously carried to United Nations headquarters in New York last year and was put on display in Johannesburg.

Is ole Maurice playing with a full deck?
Out at his Baca Ranch in the desert, according to Canada’s prestigious national newspaper, The Globe and Mail (July 9th, 1990), is “laying the groundwork for what amounts to a new world order”. “Their plan,” wrote reporter Miro Cernetig, “is to be ready for the beginning of a new Dark Age, says Mrs. Strong [profiled by herself, in a companion article to Maurice’s], a self-styled visionary, whose apocalyptic vision of the future involves the earth’s population shrinking to about 400 million people in the next few years as the result of environmental degradation.” The Danish-born Mrs. Strong, who believes she has lived thousands of years in other lives, was inspired to settle in Colorado in her childhood dreams. She thinks that in a past life she was a Colorado Indian; and so she planned her life so that she could return to her ancestral home. About a decade and a half ago, she was site-hunting in Colorado, when a mysterious ‘prophet’ named Glen Anderson, who lived in the Colorado mountains, materialized on her doorstep. He pointed to the place where the Strongs were to build their ranch and conference center for world leaders.

This was the creator of the IPCC . . .
