The Alberta Wide Rally brought thousands of Albertans together to push back against the carbon tax in eleven different localities across the province.
The goal of organizers is to collect 500,000 signatures to send a message to the government that Albertans don’t support the carbon tax and to push the tax to a fair vote decided by citizens.
Watch my video to see my conversations with several rally attendees in Calgary, including parents that are concerned with their kid’s futures and even some kids that don’t think the NDP are good for their futures.
I also talked to a pair who think the whole thing is a scam and a fraud because the science doesn’t back up claims that climate change is going to be catastrophic to the planet.
One couple I spoke with even asked for Rachel Notley to resign!
Organizers say they’ve collected over 900 signatures in order to send the tax to a referendum, so that Albertans can decide whether they want it or not.
They also collected almost $1,500 for the veteran’s food bank and accepted donations at the event.
