“Feminist” Trudeau’s 2015 gender parity cabinet, proving an embarrassment in 2016

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

Our Prime Minister is a feminist. He tells us all the time. Like we care about his feminist proclivities as our cities are burning, our jobs are being lost and ISIS is murdering Christians for sport.

Trudeau is such a feminist that he decided to appoint an entirely gender equal cabinet because as he said, it's 2015. Whatever that means.

Now it's 2016 and his virtue signalling cabinet appointments are beginning to prove themselves. But not in a good way. They're proving themselves to be terrible choices.

Now Canada has a Minister of Democratic Institutions who thinks Twitter is as good as a referendum and a Minister of Environment that thinks climate change is sexist.

Gender should not be a qualification for cabinet. Merit should be.

Moral preening in 2015 leads to embarrassment in 2016!

Women in politics (Canada): For the record

—Kathleen Wynne – Premier of Ontario – Ontario’s Kathleen Wynne ranks as one of the worst Canadian premiers at managing provincial government finances. In the analysis of all 10 premiers — including former premiers — Wynne earns an overall score of just 39.5 (out of 100) placing sixth on government spending, fifth on taxes and last on the deficits and debt component, running the largest average deficit of all the premiers at 1.5 per cent of GDP. The largest debt of any province in Canada (and rising); gives Billions in corporate grants without cost-benefit analysis; hydro costs forcing seniors to cut back on food, etc., etc.

—Maryam Monsef – Liberal MP for Peterborough – Put in charge of reforming Canada’s electoral system.
She’s 30 years old. Born in Afghanistan. Political refugee to Canada 19 years ago. Lives in Peterborough but with no job in 2014, she decided to go back to Afghanistan where a job awaited her. She sold her furniture, gave up her pretty apartment in downtown Peterborough, and declined enticing professional offers. Then on a whim, she decides to run as a Liberal MP in Peterborough and won. No job experience. No parliamentary experience, yet Trudeau thought she would be a good choice to change our 150-year-old electoral system. She hasn’t even been in Canada 20 years yet. She thinks that tweets on electoral reform is the best way to decide? Not a referendum?

—Jane Stewart – Human Resources Minister 1991 – 1993 – Most notable for ‘misplacing’ $3.3B in job creation money (taxpayer-dollars). She assured everyone that “it was there,” but they just couldn’t find it.

—Diane Finley – Minister of Human Resources 2006 – 2007 – Reduced Unemployment Insurance payouts, lengthened qualification time, dispatched ‘integrity police’ to monitor unemployed claimants.

—Bev Oda – 2012, Minister Status of Women, etc. – resigned for ‘misinformation’ and inappropriate
expenses: $1,000 a day in limousine expenses, a pricey stay ($900 per night) at London’s Savoy Hotel in 2011 and for a $16 glass of orange juice, etc.

—Helena Guergis – Minister Status of Women, etc. – resigned amid allegations of cocaine use.

—Alison Redford – Premier of Alberta – Resigned for inappropriate expenses, e.g. Spent $45,000 to attend Nelson Mandela’s funeral, $1,000,000 to refurbish lavish ‘Premier’s Suite’.

—Christy Clark – Premier of British Columbia – B.C. Premier Christy Clark’s office is defending her travel expenses after documents obtained by freelance journalist Bob Mackin show she spent more than half a million dollars on private planes over the past five years. Many of the flights were between Clark’s riding in Kelowna, in the B.C. Interior, and her home in Vancouver.

—Jane Philpott – Minister of Heath, Canada – Canada to admit refugees with infectious diseases: like tuberculosis. “Ms Philpott acknowledged how stretched the healthcare system in Canada is at the moment, but said she believes “we are up to the tasks and all the services will be in place. We anticipate dealing with immediate needs like managing injuries and trauma. But the mainstay of primary care will be based on treating neglected chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure [and other complications].

—Alex Johnstone – NDP candidate sorry for Auschwitz joke; didn’t know it was a death camp: A social worker by training, Johnstone is vice-chairwoman of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, having been first elected as a school trustee in 2010. She has a Master of Social Work degree, according to her campaign biography.

—Eva Aariak – Nunavut Premier – withdrew as premier, defeated in following election.

—Kathy Dunderdale – Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador – Resigned after creating chaos in own party.

—Pauline Marois – Premier of Quebec – Called an election amid calls for an inquiry regarding conflict of interest. Lost election.

—Nathalie Normandeau – Former Deputy Premier of Quebec (under Pauline Marois) – “The stench of dirty money in politics wafted to the provincial level on Thursday with the arrests by Quebec’s anti-corruption squad of former deputy premier Nathalie Normandeau and six other people in what the authorities called an “intolerable” conspiracy to use the awarding of government contracts to raise money for elections” ~ MSN News

—Diane Ablonczy – Former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs: “… the Green Party wants to throw some other things into the mix … Now the judge has to also consider, in addition to the Charter and the CSIS Act, they have to consider something like, ‘rule of law.’ They have to consider things like ‘principles of fundamental justice,’ whatever that is.”

—Wai Young – Conservative MP in Harper’s caucus – Young will be remembered for saying Bill C-51 was inspired by the teachings of Jesus and falsely claiming CSIS knew about the Air India bombing but did not act.

—Susan Fennel – Mayor Brampton – Audit firm found she had ‘misspent’ $170,000. Female arbitrator knocked this down to about $3,000. Fennel then claimed auditors were wrong.

—Danielle Smith – Leader of Wild Rose Party – Constituents take up a petition to unseat her.

—Eleanor Clitheroe – former CEO of Hydro One – Terminated for ‘violating fiduciary trust’, which included (in part) billing the taxpayers $330,000 in limousine rides (partly for her nanny and children) when she was also taking some $214,000 in car allowances.

— Sana Hassainia – Member of parliament – Infamous for bringing her baby into the House of Commons during a session. Previously she was never seen in her riding until elected, and has since attended only 16 of the 264 meetings of the House.

The TURD is not a feminist – just a fu*king IDIOT, empty headed A-hole.
I hope all those morons that voted for this jerk are very happy with themselves.

The dismal performance of the Cabinet is not caused because of female Ministers. It’s caused by it’s Leader – he selected all the Ministers and gave them their diluted marching orders. How do we know that their performance isn’t exactly what young Trudeau wanted? The irrational policies and childish comments and lies many are making just help to divide Canadian Citizens – an Obama strategy. And owning the News Media prevents any embarrassment to Trudeau.
As well, it sure looks like even Rebel’s labeling this situation as: “Trudeau’s 2015 gender parity cabinet, proving an embarrassment in 2016” just plays into his scheme, and reinforces the idea that Ezra and anyone who criticizes the Liberals is Sexist.
If I was a Liberal Party member in 2015 or 2016, I would be ashamed. Liberal Party members I know, on a personal level, either refuse to discuss the current Government’s performance, or quickly get defensive and label me racist, or sexist, or whatever category the Liberal Party strategy has created to avoid criticism.

Deiter bawled (like a cow), "Females are incapable of being rational. Their insanity is typical and legendary. They are also parasitic by nature. "

Deiter, I am about as Conservative as they come, even socially conservative in many ways, and I think this comment is putrid bullshit!

You do not represent the conservative/right side at all. Go live with ISIS because they are your type, because you have a mental sickness that rivals that of the socialist nitwits that post on this website.

Somehow I doubt more male liberals on the cabinet would make much of an improvement.
commented 2016-05-18 02:32:33 -0400
I do not call that balanced, there are no men in the liberal cabinet at all , they are either women or feminized wimps.
commented 2016-05-18 02:01:47 -0400
The cabinet proves Liberal women are as kookie as Liberal men.
commented 2016-05-18 01:48:55 -0400
Thank you, Dieter, for making this issue clear.

You say that: "Females are incapable of being rational. Their insanity is typical and legendary. They are also parasitic by nature. "

You are probably sincere. But most of us know better. In fact, most of us would call you ignorant.

Exactly right Sheila, these wannabe politicians are a disgrace to their positions and an embarrassment to ‘rational’ women. Canada deserves better. The smug arrogance of these women is unbearable.
Is that a fringe on the bottom of Christia Freeland’s famous red dress or is it just her slip showing?

It’s a fact of life, but JT didn’t get it. His father understood, which I guess proves that the apple does fall far from the tree.

Should any be surprised by the antics of the likes of, say, Freeland and her extraordinary vanity tour on the government’s dime? JT’s wife, Sophie, yep, the man truly is blinded by his own stupidity.

Living in Ontario,, I can assure you we are done. I’ve lost hope watching liberals get elected here since 03 and destroy our manufacturing sector. I don’t see it changing federally, too many ignorant voters, who shouldn’t be allowed to vote. There should be a skill testing series of questions for one to vote to determine ones competency .
Unions run my province, and now unions and special interest groups run Canada. Liberals will install their “ranked ballot” system soon,, guaranteeing lieberals for life governing.

when Trump becomes president he will laugh at this country for electing such a douche bag as our prime minister. with trash like this running this country there is no reason for any other country around the world to take us seriously.

This whole cabinet is full of inbred offspring of PET. Nepotism is their means

Trudeau and his little gang of imbecile’s, would all look better if they were hanging, by the neck, from some Tall Ships Yardarm.
Perhaps Trudeau could be hung by his feet, it takes a lot longer to die, that way.

This cabinet should eventually sink Junior. The problem is the CBC and MSM will protect him.
commented 2016-05-17 20:08:55 -0400
The Liberals have 50 female MPs and 134 males. But the Cabinet must be 50/50, “because it’s 2016.” If all the ministers were the best choices for their positions, who could disagree?
In the “basic dictatorship,” I guess we’re just supposed to keep quiet and go along with it.
Old Uncle Fidel must be sooooooooooo proud…
