Omar Khadr bail hearing - Day One: He has no radical beliefs, say defence lawyers

Josh SkurnikRebel Correspondent

On day one of his bail hearing, lawyers for Omar Khadr argued the convicted murderer and terrorist should get the same right to bail as all Canadians, while one supporter says he feels for Khadr as a parent.

Also, when asked whether Khadr will refute Al Qaeda or Islamic extremism as part of the bail application, the defense indicated it isn't necessary, saying his psychologist and court documents show he has no radical beliefs.

He has no radical beliefs. He does believe in massacres of non-Muslims. This belief is mainstream in Islam and is most often expressed in the “verse of the sword” which abrogates the more peaceful passages because it was written later in the life of Mohammed. Sadly, the Koran contains many similar verses.

The thing this man is most guilty of is bad hygiene and poor grooming.

Excellent comment by Warren Wade’s below . These lawyers should be put on trial too.

Really? This parent thinks of his children when he thinks of a 15 year old Khadar, a man radicalised by his notorious father from birth to murder and kill ? Are we to believe that the mother, siblings and extended family of this Islamic terrorist are not radicalised and are living as proud Canadians, which can only be Sharia free? Not to mention the fact that it is indeed a bad time to be putting another terrorist on the street.

I’m sure if this monster is released it will be short lived. Someone somewhere will spend the $5. On a bacon wrapped lead pill. That will be a good send off and a shout out to his supporters.

I highly recommend Ezra’s book, The Enemy Within: Terror, Lies and the Whitewashing of Omar Khadr. It’s a well researched and concise history of Khadr and his family that you won’t get from the msm. This guy is dangerous. He and his kin should be shipped out to the Islamic “state” where they can live among those who share their values. They’ve done nothing but express contempt for our country while sponging off our taxes.

This murdering little devil should serve out his term and be released with years of supervision. He should not be rewarded for his murdering ways by being granted bail and early release. Hopefully our government’s new policy designed to keep offenders in jail serving their full sentences will come in to play.

I can’t get inside Khadr’s mind, and I only know the basics of this case. I don’t know enough of the intimate detail to make any informed comments. So I think I’ll stay out of this one.

If he is released, this could be very disastrous. Not just for Canada/US relations, but for public stability. How many suspected radical supporters does he have? And how many opponents in the public? The answer to these questions are quite valid as to why he must remain in prison. Not mentioning his crimes, as everyone beat me to it.

Khadar is Islamic and so sister, mother and late father (friend of Osama bin Laden.) .They will not change. he should stay in lockup. Let’s not fool ourselves,he’s potentially still dangerous!

Of course he has no “radical” beliefs … he just believes in the Literal ideas espoused in the Qur’an … like stoning people and chopping off hands, feet and heads. I’m sure Trudeau and Mulcair would agree that those actions are very deserving to someone who was raped or disagreed with a Muslim’s Grimm fairy tale.

Send him and his Welfare family back to where they came from. Lawyers will say anything for money.

Well he definitely shouldn’t have to wait for appeal. He should have been executed as a traitor for his actions. So should the sympathizers. Too hard a line for most I understand. Capital punishment should be re-instituted…and utilized. Treason should be on the daily docket. How would your protect your freedom? UN?

The larger danger between Islamic State and Liberals is…Liberals.

A lawyer who tries to defend these extremists should also be incarcerated in my opinion.

More lawyer speak I see. Can you answer that in a yes or no? Why don’t we ask Mr. Khadr himself! For the number of psychs who misdiagnosed my kid I have no faith in their findings.

just how stupid is this defence lawyer? Or is it that he takes all Canadians for fools? I know the Liberal/NDP supporters will buy into his lies, but come on, really?!

So Mr Defence lawyer that is a NO he won’t refute radical ideas?
