Omar Khadr's next act? He'll be his lawyer Dennis Edney's propaganda puppet

Rebel Staff

What does the future hold for Muslim terrorist Omar Khadr now that he's free?

He'll probably go live with his lawyer Dennis Edney.

They make a good pair: Edney loves to advocate against C-51 and other attempts to combat terrorism.

Maybe they'll go on tour together as an anti-Western propaganda act.

Khadr would be Edney's perfect propaganda puppet.

I think Edney’s main interest is in a mega$ lawsuit and his 30% cut.

He was out of Canada two minutes after his mother popped him, to Pakastan for 9 years, before ever stepping foot in Canada again, and then only briefly annually for money supplies, get his teeth done…

Khadr may let Edney use him, but I am not sure that he doesn’t have his own agenda separate from Edney. I’m not sure he will be able to manipulate for the cause from this country indefinitely. I am also not sure he will be able to resist the call of hands on violence. All supposition right now, but one thing is indisputable, he has renounced nothing. While Khadr is in this country he will be hounded, he will have no peace, none.

Dennis Edney, Canada’s George Galloway. Both Scots, both anti-Western and Islamist sympathizers.

And from Khadr’s media cheerleaders in Saturday’s National Post this editorial (no author named, but smells like Chris Selley channeling Dennis Edney): http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/national-post-view-give-omar-khadr-his-chance

“It is time to give Khadr his first shot at building a life in the country of his birth.”
Riiight! The country he left, with his al-Qaeda father, to fight on the side of our enemies. Welcome back, Khadr!

The editorial then goes on to help Khadr build a case for a mega$ lawsuit against Canada.

Disgusting!

Whenever I see photos of that punk Khadr for some reason I think of Sonny Corleone pulling up to the toll booth in The Godfather.

What if there was a mysterious ethical oil fire at 234 Wolf Ridge Close in Edmonton that killed all its occupants?…Would taxpayer money have to be used to fight the fire?…Just wondering!!!

Hi Joan;
No, I wasn’t aware of that. However I was just trying to say that I was displeased with Edney because of his outside of courtroom tactics and behaviour, not because he defends Khadr. I don’t think we should be angry with defence lawyers (the way some folks are) for doing their job in the courtroom, regardless of who their client is.

George Dyer, are you aware that, at least in Ontario, in order to qualify for legal aid, the accused must already have a criminal record? Yes, I know it’s counter-intuitive, as if our government wants everyone accused, wrongly or not, to have a criminal record. But there you have it. It’s true.

Tsarnaev, the Boston Bomber and family have racked up into the millions in American tax dollars to date. Including, airfare, accommodation as well as security for the family. Even a paid pollster, to help determine which State will be most sympathetic to Tsarnaev. Don’t see why it will be any different for Khadr and our tax dollars. http://video.foxnews.com/v/4197354484001/taxpayers-footing-bill-for-tsarnaev-family-during-trial/?intcmp=obnetwork&playlist_id=2114913880001#sp=show-clips

We are a civilized people living in a civilized country. We know, in our heart of hearts, that for our judicial system to be worthy of us, that any person, no matter how evil or insidious they might be, should be represented by the best defence possible. We know that without giving such grace our justice would not be seen to be true, it would be tainted and even more flawed than it apparently is. Anything less, we might as well return to the medieval days of burning witches, sacrificing virgins or beheading people who disagree with us. Normally I would even have a soft spot in my heart for lawyers who take on the thankless task of representing the most evil amongst us.

However, Mr. Dennis Edney should be ashamed of himself. He has already been practicing what Ezra has all along known exactly what would happen. For several years he has been campaigning and politicking, at every opportunity, in front of every TV camera and every available microphone, at every tweeting twit, to represent his client in the so-called “court” of public opinion. Doing so, was not only a shallow attempt at influencing the general public’s opinion, but may even have, consciously or subconsciously, influenced the mindset of Justice June Ross prior to that hearing.

In any event, Edney’s actions are completely reprehensible and disrespectful to our justice system. His behaviour is tantamount to figuratively flipping his middle finger towards our civilized society and our real courts. For this we should hold him in contempt in addition to our law societies severely rebuking him (but we shouldn’t hold our breaths waiting for that to happen).

No question the taxpayer is funding this circus. Khadr’s family does not have the money (on social assistance) and muslims will not “crowd fund” anything they believe that we, the “infidels” should be paying for on their behalf.
commented 2015-04-26 14:53:27 -0400
I have long wondered who has funded Khadr’s legal costs, since I know from personal experience it is a very expensive road to go down, so
you’ll excuse me if I have doubts about his lawyer footing the bill all this time and wonder if the money isn’t coming from some other source.
Better hope it’s not the tax payer (legalaid).

Watch this disintegrate when the Muslim in their midst (Khadr) demands Edney’s wife be covered in a shroud and niquab. Or in a fit of rage, the Edney family is attacked. Or as previously suggested, Khadr disappears into the “Muslim Community”. Just saying, possibilities……

During the last liberal government it was reported that the khadr family had “lost” 10 Canadian passports hmmm

Justice June Ross is a fool.

" Khadr was born and raised in hatred." His father died for the cause , his brother paralysed, he has been in jail since 2002, you think he isn’t pissed off? He has never even lived among us, ever, not counting the short annual trips back to Canada to get supplies, money, medical and dental work done. I find it impossible to believe that he has miraculously changed into a gentle loving peaceful Muslim wanting only to live quietly in Canada. He has renounced nothing. His hatred is temporarily hidden down in his gut, I cannot trust him. This will affect Canadian/American relations also. It doesn’t matter Obama forced him on us. It makes us look weak and stupid in the eyes of the world. It also makes us more of a target. I hope the gov. appeal happens quick enough. This is just wrong.

They should both be on terrorist watch and the no fly list. That includes any private executive jets as I have no doubt that money will be funnelled in like crazy by the looney leftist that think Khadr is nothing more than a misdirected “Beaver Cleaver” that has been persecuted. University speaking tours? No way. All grants should be cut off to any group that hosts this terrorist .

Justice June Ross is married to Barry Zalmanowitz a big shot in Liberal circles. She was coincidentally appointed during Jean Cretien final seconds in power. No surprise she would take this anti conservative political stand.

Dennis Edney lives at 234 Wolf Ridge Close Edmonton,AB T5T5M6. Ph: 7807689262

Offering his home, using his own funds…..how noble of Mr.Edney. I wonder if this is the Christian thing to do, the Muslim thing to do, or the ambulance chasing lawyer with his eyes on a healthy percentage of the millions from the inevitable lawsuit thing to do. You decide, as that’s the Canadian thing to do.
commented 2015-04-25 18:06:41 -0400
edney was whining about having to spend his own money against the courts…try flash funding dennis then we will see how many of those women with charley manson syndrome want to back their love with cash.

I’m thinking that he has perfected an acting career in prison. Got good enough to convince a liberal lawyer and judge to grant him bail. Once out for a few days and suddenly he’ll vanish and be hidden by a community of muslim sympathizers and secretly exported back to some Islamic state.

Zee posted, “khadr’s mother is really his father’s sister…”

I wouldn’t be surprised, but can’t find anything, and have never read anything that would corroborate that statement, do you have a link?
commented 2015-04-25 15:31:07 -0400
Thank you Zee for clarifying that, that he was talking to Speer’s sister. Peter you bring up a very valid point that. Of course I care if he is inciting violence or even the jihad cause. We will see.

I think Omar should go live with Elizabeth May….she did say she’d take him in. She just might turn him into a propagandist for global warming. Far less dangerous, much more lucrative.
commented 2015-04-25 15:09:16 -0400
It is the Canadian way, apparently.

Zee – “khadr’s mother is really his father’s sister…”

really? I did not know that. If that is true, that’s disgusting.

Michael Bergen – “I actually don’t have a problem with him ‘writing a book’ or even becoming a propaganda machine, but only if he is not really not a danger to anyone physically.”

Problem is that he could very well inspire many people to become a physical danger to others, then we have a larger problem than just him being a physical threat. That is why him propagandizing for the jihadist cause is worse, far worse.
commented 2015-04-25 14:50:15 -0400
khadr’s mother is really his father’s sister…
commented 2015-04-25 14:48:30 -0400
lol LIZA. I agree that that would be ideal, but not likely. If this decision is made and as a result he physically hurts someone, and if the truth has always been that he is a danger, and the left was willing to overlook that fact simply to support their narrative and then it gets someone hurt or killed, I am going to be unbelievable pissed off.
commented 2015-04-25 14:42:02 -0400
If he gets a second chance he needs to take it out of this country.
