@ Glenn C, you got it right, except its Laureen, not Maureen, then there’s Lauren.
Dan M., Bill’s post was worth reposting. Scary .

I figure it needed sayin’ again.
“…BILL ELDER commented 1 day ago
Actually Brian this phenomena of anti- bullying advocacy using the very tactics they claim to loathe is the norm for this latest cultural Marxist crusade – and it is in character with most other CM/Prog memes – it is the raw statist thuggery which they advocate to solve every human foible – it is their only solution, state sanctioned mob violence or threat of violence is the core precept of social justice warriors.

The abhor violence – unless it is used to enforce conformity to “progressive” narratives and agendas. Hypocritical, pathological and anathema to a free liberal society. These are NOT progressives, they are NOT liberals these are the authoritarian vanguard of the next dark age…"

Glenn, “Again I say Maureen innocently took the narrative at face value for literal truth….she ran afoul of the mean girls because she stepped on their turf so she got warned off.”
I’d say you got that right.

Sexual orientation is about which gender you like…not which gender you hate and want to get lawyers to screw….Is there anybody who just read that who can honestly say that they haven’t a clue what I am on about?

Before the movement was called “feminism” it was called “political lesbianism”.

Again I say Maureen innocently took the narrative at face value for literal truth….she ran afoul of the mean girls because she stepped on their turf so she got warned off.

It would have been more prudent of her to delegate Nancy Ruth.

Many of these anti-movements are just “Bash Harper” movements in disguise, usually promoted politically by liberals and socialists. They are evasive in our Canadian society, and THAT IS ALARMING!

If you want to see the wrath of the totality of this “regressive” agenda, as we descend into the abyss, check out one of the videos that pops-up at the end. It’s called “F-Bombs For Feminism” and it’s truly revolting to hear little kids swearing like drunken sailors and engaging in mindless feminist rants about their horrible lot in life. It’s witness to society sliding into the canyon of moral debasement. My comment there says it all. That “this is child abuse pure and simple”.

Bill, what a foreboding comment.

I think these Pink Shirt Days are just disguised Fascism. They wear the same shirts, think the same thoughts (Group-think), and are mobilized to one end.

As Johan Goldberg said in his book Liberal Fascism
“The elevation of unity as the highest social value is a core tenet of fascism and all leftist ideologies.”
and also…
“Historically, fascism is of necessity and by design a form of youth movement, and all youth movements have more than a whiff of fascism about them. "

All too typical of liberals . . . always falsely accusing someone else of what they are guilty of themselves. If you want to see evil in all its g(l)ory look at Islam. This is where evil travels.

I ran a gauntlet of bullying in junior and senior high school because I was a pretty boy and it was assumed by many that I was gay.

But I ran a much nastier and more mean spirited gauntlet at Mount Saint Vincent when it was determined that I was NOT gay…..and therefore not one of the girls.

Maureen is not gay…therefore she just isn’t one of the girls.

And that is what this is about in a nutshell.

As someone who was bullied as a child I have seen much of this anti bullying campaign to be pandering and political with little or no resolve to the actual matter at hand. The ‘alphabet’ group has just made this more evident and defined. It should be noted that it is pink shirt day for anti bullying not gender/sex preference day. Why do they always think it is about them? There are hundreds of different reasons people are bullied, well isn’t that queer?

I can’t see how 3% of the population can make so much noise

It’s really kind of sad, to see the people present their phony façade as being against bullying when they are no better themselves. Typical of liberals though isn’t it.

In the long run, they are nothing but inconsequential non-entities. I know they are annoying for the present, but they too will pass. But, boy, in the mean time this waiting for them to go away is sure frustrating.

What makes me laugh the most is that the issues that these people choose to criticize about Harper simply are not true. They are made up.

For example, the first tweet on how this Harper government is “legit harmful to trans people” is simply an outright blatant lie. Pure fabricated made up bull.

And how is Harper bullying the public service? Another lie.

If Harper the big bad mean evil ogre they claim then why do these people feel they need to make up stuff just so they can accuse Harper of it?

The left wing has been pulling this type of crap since Harper took office in 2006. Remember the Afghan detainee “scandal”? After Harper formed a committee of representatives from all the parties to look through all the unredacted documents, we never heard another peep from them. They found nothing, but no apology from the left wing jerks for falsely accusing Harper. And it has gone on like this since 2006. Accusation after accusation after accusation on anything they could think of, all falling by the wayside as they were proven false. I am sick and tired of these left wing creeps who have the most filthy morals I have ever seen. Anything seems to be fair game to them. Sickening.

Is this Troster person for real? Intolerant hypocrite.

I firmly believe that no one should be bullied. One group in particular seems to have claimed this Day of Pink for themselves. Others on the bullied list are tacked on as an after thought. I think all bullied groups and individuals need support. The idea that bullying is o.k. needs to be addressed aggressively. Mrs. Harper was expressing support that no one should be bullied. The people speaking up against her are picky and petty. They have rejected valuable support.

Every day is anti-bullying day. You don’t need a pink shirt to pretend that you are a good person once a year. I was harassed at my school last year for not wearing a pink shirt. The majority of people I know associate this day with gay rights, funny how they seem to push aside everyone else’s rights for their own cause.

The LGGB community has come a long way in the recent decades.
I know people who have suffered greatly because they were found out.
A good friend of mine who is a transexual had her brains beaten in 30 years ago, almost died just because some idiot found out she was a he.
These idiots who appose Harper’s wife only hurt themselves ( the LGBT community) in the long run, people get angry when they see this silliness happening when the cause is a good one and they turn it Political.
Much like Wynne is doing by forcing her agenda on all parent’s children, no matter what religion or beliefs they have, sort of a one size fits all. Many who were/might be tolerant of accepting of the LGBT community might have a different view if it is forced on their children when they desire it not to be.
Wynne’s well intentions might backfire,

Laureen Harper is a class act. A Canadian committed to equity unlike the fringe who oppose gender and sexual identity and personhood equity.

The Conservative Party of Canada has a strong LGBTQ lobby; let’s not forget that. Jerry Dias certainly hasn’t.

The fringe who use dayofpink to bully and exclude are just that – a fringe. Don’t paint all LGBTQ the same, as they do us in the Conservative camp.

We are, all of us, first and foremost, individuals. Bullying is wrong, of course. But Good Lord in Heaven, try telling that to IS or Saudi Arabia or Hamas or Hezzbolah as they hang, stone and toss off high buildings anyone who dares think dayofpink. Laureen Harper, as a very visible international public figure, shows great courage to champion this cause.

Being assertive, healthy and disciplined aggression are all good and not bullying. Laureen Harper is tough enough to take the flack of the pink flies buzzing around her head. She’ll come out far ahead because, get this, she is in the right.
