"Sewage mayor of Montreal" opposes Energy East pipeline -- but dumped RAW HUMAN WASTE into St. Lawrence River

Rebel Staff

Liberal mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre says he's opposing the Energy East pipeline, a $15 billion project to send Canadian ethical oil from Alberta to Quebec and on to New Brunswick.

Coderre hasn't opposed other pipelines, especially the one that brings OPEC conflict oil from Portland to Montreal.

But he's against Energy East in the name of science or environmentalism or something. Except pipelines are the safest way to transport oil. That's been proven.

Yeah, Coderre is such an environmentalist. Like late last year when he released a billion liters of raw, untreated human sewage into the St. Lawrence river.

Now, obviously, grandstanding mayors don’t get to decide things like national pipelines. That's clear from our constitution.

But who will Trudeau, the ultimate decider, side with?

The side with jobs and growth in New Brunswick and elsewhere?

Or with the sewage mayor of Montreal?

It is time for Alberta to stop all transfer payments to Quebec. Let the losers freeze in the dark.

time to cut quebec loose. quebec serves no useful purpose in society.

The Mouth of Montreal needs his palms greased. It’s the way business is done in Quebec.

KEN HEDGER… Agreed… Between Chubby Chicken Coderre and P.K. Peladeau they certainly seem to testing the air for either separation, or, if they can be bought off once again… But this time they might get more than they bargained for since Western Canada is increasingly in a foul mood, and rightly so, and it’s only going to get worse… Westerners are also tired of the antics of Winnie The Poo in Ontario, so no sympathy for them… The Maritimes are in a perpetual “Gimme” mode and find no sympathy out West… Most critical is the fact that The Boy Wonder is definitely NOT the one who could rally Canadians in these coming years if things get really ugly!… The fault line at the Manitoba/Ontario border IS widening, and the Laurentian Elites may well have a major “Oh Shit!” moment coming if they can’t face reality…

I see this as preparation for Quebec separating. They will hold us to ransom if we want to build a pipeline to our east coast through their territory. It will be a bit like Russia cutting off gas to Ukraine and Europe. Oh sorry no rail shipments without paying a huge toll. You are driving to NB ? Passport and toll please.

Hahahahaha best headline yet.. “Sewage mayor of Montreal”
True on so many levels …

The Canadian federation needs to be overhauled. I hate to sound overly reactionary but isn’t it time for Alberta to push back against this confederation? What is this country? Quebec needs to go or Alberta needs to go. The two provinces are like oil and sewage – we just don’t mix! I have my fill of sewage from Ontario and Quebec. I would vote to break up this country today if I had the chance. Canada never had a civil war but maybe we need one. I am becoming increasingly disgusted with this country. I am at home in the geography of Canada but forgein to its culture and politics. If Trudeau and this Montreal mayor represent the values of Canada then I am not a Canadian.

Welcome to the club.

I am too old to start a civil war but I would support one in e heart beat.

There are no real men left in Canada who will stand up to what is happening.

Not one who is willing to do as these guys did:

Quite frankly when I travel internationally – and I do on a monthly basis – I avoid Canadians – for the most part a rather smarmy and self righteous group of people who truly never have had to over come any sort of adversity.

Always living under the shadow and the protection of big brother to the south.

Trust me when I say this – the media is giving the gay boy an nice ride – but out on the international street the people I deal with are pulling away from Canadians. They see them as not being trustworthy and forming alliances with the wrong people.

“No Canadians Allowed” will become the norm within the next two to three years in many parts of the world.

I personally want to see Canada split at the Ontario / Manitoba border – and leave every fucking easterner where they are – no crossing into the west without a full stop immigration and border crossing check.

More and more I am not only shamed by what I am seeing – I am also beginning to truly and viscerally dislike most Canadians as a whole.

I also am for independence and the project previously in my comments would solve most of the problems the nutbars are inflicting on us. Very little government cost as most of the project would be private capital maybe with a bit of help from Alaska who would gain rail transportation which would benefit them.
commented 2016-01-21 22:29:16 -0500
Robert and Peter- There is a perfectly good way to pipe the oil to Valdes. This could be part of a much larger scheme to also develop a huge iron deposit in the Clear Hills about 50 miles west of Manning and about the same distance north of Hines Creek. Also extend the railroad from northern BC or from the Hay River line into Alaska which would give them a rail route to the US. The steel at Clear Hills could provide pipe for both the pipeline and the railroads hauled all by rail which should make all of the project feasible. The pipeline would be about 1200 miles long and the railroad would be either 500 or 800 miles long depending on which option is chosen. The whole project would not encroach on BC and thereby avoiding a lot of problems.

Well you know politicians: they all have shite for brains!

Robert Hewgill, I am with ya on Alberta independence but that does not solve the problem of moving our oil to market. In fact, it might make it even worse.

Bravo Zulu;
Must agree with you. This would enable us to kick the Trud along with them. Trudeau, being a Kermit would become an instant Alien and we do not need aliens to misrule our country.

“Liberal mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre says he’s opposing the Energy East pipeline, a $15 billion project to send Canadian ethical oil from Alberta to Quebec and on to New Brunswick.” I wonder if this parasitic loser will have enough courage in his “convictions” to refuse the portion of his budget that came from Transfer Payments stolen from hard working westerners?

Between alternate breaths, SJW/EJW activists scream: (1) we must stop extracting oil from the ground; (2) gasoline costs too much; (3) we must refine Canadian oil inside Canada; (4) we must not build pipelines to deliver Canadian oil to Canadian oil refineries.

I’ve tried to be polite while commenting on various stories here on TheRebel.media over the last few months but I’m really losing my patience with these F**king morons. We don’t want oil by truck. We don’t want oil by train (now almost 2 miles long). We don’t want oil by pipeline (the proven safest way to transport one of our largest exports that generate billions of dollars for our economy – unless the pipeline is intentionally sabotaged by “environmentalists” or our “Mother Earth” loving Aboriginal folk). So how the F**k are we going to heat our homes in winter and where is the fuel going to come from to run your car (Yes, Liz May says 50% of vehicles in BC are now electric. Uh, no. Not even close Lizzie)? It would appear that the more educated the people who run our country are the more stupid they get….Welcome to Canadastan!
commented 2016-01-21 18:06:18 -0500
This is insane. Electric cars: not ready to be a reliable substitute and can’t power thing like the big machinery and planes that our economy relies upon. Solar power: useless unless it is to power one house that has the capital to infest in, again usesless for big machines and planes. Wind, geothermal, etc, look above. We don’t build electric vehicles and don’t have the technology, maybe driverless cars if you want to back google. All other technology sectors are great and all but don’t fill the void of fossil fuels, money wise or productivity wise. Like the rest of the world we need oil for money and use. Butts is all talk with zero plausible solutions. He just lives in fairy land where we can just close ourselves off to the rest of the world and live sustainability. I guess he is going to love the fire, bullets and pitch forks if he tries that on the Canadian public. Oil is smart for the sustainable future and smart money wise. I can’t believe people voted for these useless pos. These people are evil and deliberately and knowingly trying to kill this country, EVIL.

So, if the Energy East pipeline is successfully blocked, then all new pipelines will be successfully blocked and the only option left to Alberta and Saskatchewan is train or truck.

It’s a total political power play, Trans Canada was catching so much flack from the environmentalists who opposed the proposed shipping yard in Quebec due to the danger it would cause the Belugas in those waters. So, Trans Canada decided to skip the port and head straight to the Atlantic instead of upsetting the whales. Now they cry.
That’s what this is all about!

Ufo, sewage mayor, lmfao !

What be this imaginary “alternative economy” that Butts-hurt speaks of?

Is the gubberment going to impose on the people their visions of their ‘alternative economy’?
What ever happened to the free market, free enterprise, and supply & demand determining the economy?

Codere is just another disgusting liberal pig backed and promoted by the media party.

Codere must be looking for his pipeline kickback from Trans-Canada Pipeline – Codere is just another Demarais /Dussault lapdog and coffee and donut getter – Demarais and Dussault – the same families that have financially raped Canada for decades.

Regardless, PM Butts has final say.

Don’t send us your oil but keep those transfer payments coming and don’t be late! My welfare city and the province is depending on it. Another ASSHOLE! That is all ;)
