Sex-ed protest: Over 2000 parents rally at Queen's Park

Emily PrattRebel Correspondent

More than 2000 parents and politicians alike hit Queen’s Park Tuesday to protest the Ontario Liberal government’s new sex education curriculum.

They represented a cross-section of religions and cultures.

Parents I spoke to say when it comes to their children, sex education should be their choice.

Ontario's sex-ed curriculum sexualizes young children, undermines parental authority and imposes the government's morality on every Ontario family. TAKE ACTION and visit ProtectOurKids.ca to sign the petition.

The Liberal government is spending so much of our tax money to fight the parents (who pay this money) and to serve a personal agenda of hers.
I fear that Kathleen Wynne is on a mission to accomplish to major things which conflict with our Canadian identity and values:
1. To turn as many of Ontario’s children to homosexual as possible
2. Legalize child pornography.
Kathleen Wynne should not only be removed from her position, but should also be put on trial and be charged criminally for the new curriculum, especially for using her position of power to serve her own agenda and the agenda.

Kathleen Wynne doesn’t give a damn what Ontario’s parents want or don’t want. Wynne is a radical cultural Marxist who wants her personal radical gender identity transformation agenda implemented in the schools, and nothing short of her removal from office is going to stop her.

Moderate liberals who voted Liberal in the last Ontario election are getting what they deserve. Unfortunately, every Ontarian is getting the shaft from this extremist radical Ontario Premier. If you don’t want your kids subjected to her ‘program’, step up the action until she is removed.

These idiots should think back to their own childhood. Would knowing all the details of oral and anal sex by grade 3 have been an improvement?
commented 2015-04-15 21:16:13 -0400
Do Wynne and Sandals honestly believe Conservative Party voters are the only ones against this? That not one Liberal or NDP supporter was among the thousands that turned out to protest teaching inappropriate sex-ed to young children? Arrogant and delusional!

It is good to see all the parents protest this outrageous, perverted, child exploitation that Wynne is trying her hardest to shove down all innocent children’s throats this September. Wynne ought to be ashamed of herself, but she apparently has no shame. There must be some law this psycho is breaking like, child perversion, grooming children for perverts, exposing children to pornographic imaging and ideas, something, anything for a class action law suit against Wynne and the provincial liberals. She has to be stopped and furthermore be removed from the provincial liberal leadership position for being bigoted against all heterosexual people and with trying to spread child pornography in the schools to children under the age of consent. Get her out now.

If these parents really care about their kids, they should be more concerned with the fact each one will be saddled with $27,000 which is their share of the provincial debt. Both are equally destructive to their children in different ways. If only they could have seen that in the last election things might have differently.

I feel like we have been violated. We did not give consent. I am being touched in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable. And no matter how many have said NO! we are still being :O!! I find this very strange cause isn’t that part of the new curriculum? How to recognize consent??

I am impressed, actual well-informed and articulate protesters. Not the usual clowns you get at a pipeline protest. No wonder the mainstream media didn’t want to cover this story, there may actually be something intelligent going on here.

Normalizing pedophilia – pig Wynne’s next liberal accomplishment. Wynne is creating pedophile recruits at the grade school levels – brutal. And pig Wynne claims to be a grandmother – how embarrassing for the parents of those grand kids.

I’m so grateful and pleased to see so many people out there fighting for their rights. I’m in Alberta and if they don’t stamp out that corruption and crush it completely, that early indoctrination will saturate this country before we know it. Thank you to everyone who had and has the courage to do something noble for our children. We send our children to school in good faith to be taught what WE want them taught, not what some insidious and vile mind wants them taught. Teach them to read, write, work with numbers and some good solid history. Leave the rest to the parents. Period.

I’m sure that I’m not the only one to write to the Ontario Liberal party to say no to this bill. I’m from BC.
I’m glad to see so many people out and show their support and concern for their children.
Dump this liberal government…

There are lots of people who shine School. Personally I would never have done it or recommend it. There is more to education than the subjects taught in schools.
You can always opt out of the sex education. They cannot refuse you the right to opt out.

People who find this new curriculum as offensive as today’s protestors may want to consider a couple of options. First, opt out of this program (assuming it is even possible to opt your kids out of it; I don’t know for sure!) Second, consider home-schooling. I’ve seen a lot of comments in American blogs where parents shared their experiences with home-schooling and these were overwhelmingly positive, although often resisted by teachers and school boards.

I had never heard of anyone in Canada home-schooling but discovered that it is perfectly possible even in Ontario. In fact, a woman in my book club home-schooled both of her two kids. And in case you’re thinking she is some kind of religious zealot, she’s not. In fact, she’s a practicing M.D specializing in psychiatry. I have no idea what her views are on religion; I’ve certainly never heard her say anything that suggested she was a religious person. She seems very satisfied the way her kids have turned out; both are adults now.

There are apparently networks of home-schoolers who can acquaint you with all the best materials and practices in home-schooling so that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

@ Peter Netterville – we all should be careful of being arrogant and dismissive of others. ‘Fuelling’ is a correct spelling, unless of course you’re anti-British or something! Your point is well taken though; the politically correct media simply want traditionally minded people to go away, and they make believe that by relegating ‘conservatism’ to an obscure place on a website or newspaper that we will all go away. Liberal and free society my eye!

What, I wonder, would Putin think of this “education format”?

Good on you people of Ontario acting for your children welfare. Perhaps a protest outside CTV and CBC offices would get their attention and prevent their editors from muffling the story…They are as much to blame as the government.

The Liberals gave us abortion to kill the preborn. Now the Liberals are giving us tainted sex education to destroy the minds of the post born .A plot to destroy the family and conscience of our country. Do we love murder and kinky sex that much? Sensitivity to human life is diminishing. Increase in murders among our country folk does not surprise me at all. Shhhhhhh….let us not talk about it. Our Lord suffered on the cross so much for the atonement of our sins. Will He continue to have mercy on us? I guess if this is too hard on us we can always opt out with euthanasia. WE ARE IN DESPARATE NEED OF A SECOND COMING.

Sure, let’s turn our kids over to levin and Wynne for sex education.

Legitimizing an “alleged” child pornographer’s perverted agenda is child abuse. This administration has no shame or conscience and are unfit to lead. Self-serving individuals that won’t allow children to be children and are content to destroy the family. There is no lower standard than treating children in this immoral trashy way. What’s next legalizing pedophilia for equality? Society is decaying as we speak.

The bankrupt Wynne resorts to baseless name calling and is a demonic hypocrite. There is a ‘heterophobic’ aspect to this, in the context, she and her fellow travellers are certainly pushing an openly gay, transgender activist, very sexually aggressive and hedonistic agenda on younger and younger vulnerable kids and attempt to shut-down free and open public debate.

It didn’t take long for these radicals to push this unwanted program once again and I’m sure this is just a precursor to further creepiness. We haven’t indoctrinated toddlers yet. Is Wynne’s associate sex program architect Ben Levin still being consulted surreptitiously? Of course, cultural Marxists won’t listen to parents and concerned citizens. The state should stay out of the bedroom of parent’s children and stick to teaching academics not personal politics or sex to minors. State controlled children should not be acceptable in a free society.

I am surprised those parents don’t want their children groomed by the perverts Levin and Wynne … NOT! >.<

Dear oh dear, what can we do about this imbecile. First she takes away what Harper gave us, then she wants to control families. Has she planted any more Windmills lately. We just cant Wynne. Don Quixote, where are you.

I don’t know how well multiculturalism is working in this country, however, this issue has acted as rally cry in bringing everyone together!! Also, compered to Marissa’s spot on Lefty anti-Harper anti-oil, anti-everything protesters, these folks know why they’re there, they know the issue, there is no awkward silences, only ppl expressing themselves clearly and concisely. A great comparison between conservatives and Lefty’s (the violent stupid half of society!!).

Dave B. asked “Who elected Wynne and her cronies?”
Surprising, the people of Ontario kept the Liberals in power. My question is, why?
I don’t recall who first said this, “People get the government they deserve”. A little too late for second thoughts now.

I finally found where the article for this protest is on the CBC. It certainly is not on the main page. You have to go to “Local” news for Toronto, so it is obvious the CBC did not want it too obvious, and I noticed it is even shuffling off of that page rather quickly into the dark recesses of the archives. Now if it was a Mike Duffy story, it would be front page for days.

The first sentence sets the tone for the rest of the article,
“Conservative groups are fuelling the vocal opposition to Ontario’s new sex-education curriculum … "

Now aside from the spelling error “fuelling” coming from our extremely elite and exceptionally highly educated left wing CBC reporter (sarcasm), the tone of that statement clearly indicates an attitude like, “Those darn stupid low brow Conservatives are stirring up trouble again!”

The arrogance and pure filthy immorality of the left wing is astounding.

4 years is too long to live with this level of open malfeasance – injunctions and federal indictments are all that is left when a regime goes this rogue.

Great report Emily. What a cross section of Canadians and all with a unified message and real passion. Government better listen up.

Excellent! Wish I had known I would have been there.
Also Cap not Trade needs a protest.
