Alberta election: Wildrose's Brian Jean responds to "extremist" charge

Marc PatroneRebel Commentator

The leader of the Wildrose Party tabled his five priorities on this first full day of campaigning heading into the May 5th Alberta election.

They include balancing the books with no new taxes by 2017.

Brian Jean's promise was short of specifics but he says he'll roll out details as the campaign moves forward.

He also ripped into Jim Prentice for suggesting his party if full of extremists, saying if wanting a balanced budget and low taxes is "extreme," then Alberta is full of such people.

Jean's promise also includes an old school approach to grading students, saying the education has strayed from
what used to work just fine.

The leader also vowed to ban floor crossings if he becomes premier as a way to ensure democracy triumphs in Alberta over politics.

In Quebec, the NDP was able to sweep riding with young unexperienced and untested candidates during the Federal election. Can we hope the same with the WR this time in Alberta?

Great idea Greg! Start using their tactics against them. The PCs need to be referred to as what they are…progressives. There isn’t a conservative among them. Rally your friends and neighbours …it is time!

Find out where the local watering holes of the new media are. Journalists are all basically a bunch of puke dribbling piss tanks anyway so this should be easy. Pretend to be their friend. Buy them a few drinks. Pretend to be as ANTI wild rose and left wing as possible. Express admiration for the media.

When their tongues are loosened with flattery & free booze have a nearby accomplish ready with a cell phone camera. When the asshole journalist mouths off about the wild rose being a bunch of racists, shoot it off on to YouTube within seconds.

THEN !!! Crank up the hits on the video. Then AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYSand a few thousand hits complain to the asshole’s boss at his/her paper and sue their asses off!

Woo hoo! Hunting season is officially open!

@valerie Did you know that when Jim looks in a mirror he sees a liberal?

It is my belief that the reason why the Wildrose did as poorly in the last election as they did was because of the main stream media’s fear mongering that the Wildrose was some sort of extremist right wing party. Lies and fear mongering for which I think they should have been held accountable.

The weekend before the last election the MSM blitzed the airwaves with their “views” on just how back the Wildrose would be for Alberta. The Wildrose popularity dropped drastically over that weekend, in no small part because of that blitz.

I wish the MSM would stay out of trying to direct politics in this country to their agenda and leave it up to the democratic process. But then, they are left wing and the left wing is known for only supporting democracy when it goes their way, which is, of course no democracy at all.

Trust a Liberal to use name-calling as his first move – a desperate attack by a desperate man who was confident he’d killed the opposition.
First round – Jean 1, Prentice 0.

Looks like it’s going to be a good punch up – outstanding!!! no need to take Prentice’s shit – let him have it back Jean twice as hard.

Basically (unless you are lucky enough to have an independent running in your riding) your only choice at the polls Alberta – unless you want the PCs to lead you into the mess they left to the klepto-libs in Ontario and UN agendas destroying your resource sovereignty.

It’s back to dirty pool once again in this election. When you have nothing positive to offer the electorate you create an extremist straw man in the opposition ranks. This is the politics of fear whereby low information voters are herded into your anti-extremist corral. It’s so obvious and yet so effective when you don’t even define extremist, which is a catch-all phrase for anything not deemed main line by the main steam media and social elites. It appears that running deficits and increasing taxes is the politically correct mantra today in the msm.

Don’t tell anyone in your neighborhood that you pay off your credit cards and bills and balance your cheque book each month. You will certainly be branded an extremist !
