Alberta Liberal leader compares Bill 6 opponents to Dickensian villains

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

Alberta Liberal leader Dr David Swann supports Bill 6. He supports it so much that he sent out a fundraising email comparing Alberta Farms and ranches to Industrial Revolution era factories.

Bill 6 is the farm unionization bill that requires Alberta farms and ranches to purchase WCB coverage for their employees and adhere to OHS and labour laws. White collar union rules don’t work on farms. Livestock and crops don’t care about overtime costs and they won't listen to shop stewards.

David Swann the leader of Alberta Liberals - literally the most irrelevant party in Alberta politics these days - has been pushing something like Bill 6 for years. Swann once tried to organize a boycott of Pepsico brands because he didn’t like that kids can pick potatoes in Alberta.

Bill 6 is his baby, too.

And if you don’t support having your farm unionized without at least your consultation, well David Swann thinks you’re a villain from a Dickens novel.
Swann said so in a fundraising email. He said "the days of a legal framework that would make Charles Dickens blush will at long last come to an end”.

What?

The progressive left is really all the same. They think they love your kids more than you. They think sending a crown corporation a cheque once a month will ward off the injury gremlins. And those employees you have, the ones that are often also your friends and family, well they're just slaves to you. Progressives like Swann think you basically feed them gruel and whip them when they ask for more.

Farms aren't Dickensian factories. Farms are homes.

Since when did Liberals steer further left than Dippers? oh yeah, it’s 2015!

He’s a liberal … so it’s only understandable that he knows nothing about real life.
commented 2015-12-08 09:15:40 -0500
He’s shilling for when he crosses the floor to the NDP. Just another fool, in the ship of communist fools.

Socialism: How do Albertans like it so far?

I assume Swan will now go without the product these villains produce and quit eating.

Yeah David what do the actual people know, we should all just do as you self important fools want us to do. Damn thinking for ourselves, the left sure hates that.

Sheila, if this liberal politician is so irrelevant, then why do you bother to make a video on him? Now that you have gone out of your way to make a video, you have added to his credibility and relevance. Dumbass.

I really, really hope that a lot of rural families in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and even the Yukon, spend some “quiet time” during the Christmas holidays talking about Western Separation again… I know our’s will…

Thanks Yvette, me too. All Albertans need to come together against this tyranny ( I don’t use this term lightly). I believe once the vail is lifted it will be the bureaucrats and unions against the rest of Alberta, and “they” will lose terribly.

Kelvin G. I watched your UTube video & really enjoyed the song, in fact at some point, the words & pictures made me cry. I grew up on a farm & all my uncles were farmers too & they are turning in their graves at what Notley is doing. Where would be without the farmer? I hope they rally some more & non farmers support them in their effort & attend the rallies.

Pure projection there Mr. Swann…

Background on Swann for non-Albertans:

Elected as a loyal member of the P/C Government.

Had some bogus issue that was not supported by the P/C Government; also not appointed a Minister.

Became a loyal Liberal in a huff, quickly becoming leader.

The Liberals did not like him and dumped him.

Became stand-in Liberal leader for the last election when the then Liberal leader quit.

So now is smoozing the NDP, to presumably become a member of their caucus; with a Ministership.

He will still have the W/R and Alberta Party left if the NDP option doesn’t work out.

In short, David Swann is for the David Swann Party.

Time for David Swann song to exit stage stage left. He has been trying this shit for years.

He should step down now for being a communist!
commented 2015-12-07 17:53:24 -0500
Well Mr. Swann does have some Great Expectations.

Who is this Swain and what is this AB Liberal Party? No matter. He is likely looking to the NDP to save his political career, now that the AB Liberals are on life-support…and the plug is hanging off the wall socket.

New pole who is the biggest nut bar Swanne or Justenn ???

So, the Alberta Liberals support bill 6. And people from other provinces, especially the east, wonder why the Liberals have not been in power in Alberta since 1921 and never will be again. This sort of stupidity is one reason.

Run for your lives the villainous Hutterites are coming!
commented 2015-12-07 17:07:05 -0500
With that comment Swan and the Liberal Party are even more irrelevat if that were possible. Like Dickens, what Swan says is pure fiction and of no relevance with respect to political policy issues.

Klein once called Swann a communist. He was right.
