Alberta NDP make mockery of legislature with more “amateur” behaviour

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

The Alberta NDP are making a mockery of the Legislature with their amateurish behaviour since taking power last May.

There was the time that Mike Connolly gave the opposition the finger and lied about it.

There was the time that the NDP caucus missed the vote for the chair of committees and gooned their way past the high school students who work as Legislature pages and demanded a re-vote.

Then, there was the time that Speaker Bob Wanner was reading decisions that were written before any arguments were heard.

And now, the NDP ministers, the alleged best and brightest the NDP has to offer us, can’t even answer the puff questions the NDP backbenchers lob at them.

Watch my video to see Lori Sigurdson, the Seniors Minister, answer Deb Drever’s back bencher, puffball, time waster question by reading back Drever’s question. It’s astoundingly dumb.

The NDP can’t even script the lazy, feel good, nonsense questions from backbenchers to their own cabinet ministers without screwing it up. And the NDP cabinet ministers aren't bright enough to read from a script.

Ladies and gentlemen of Alberta, these are the people running the province. They can’t even read their own lines. Are you surprised about a $58 billion provincial debt by 2019? I’m not.

I wouldn't send these people to the store for milk. They’d come back with union made candy.

Of course, this is the sort of behaviour that one would expect from people are not going to be around in about three years. Yep. Not one of them is running for reelection. Why? Faced with a defeat that will see their government smashed to six seats (or less) will any of these NDP MLAs even bother to waste time and run in a futile reelection bid? It’s gonna happen – I’m never wrong.

I would love to get a look at David McCallum Fudd’s Kananaskis bar tab.

I tell you, the Left should not be allowed to vote. Idiot voters? Idiot ‘leaders’.
commented 2016-04-25 07:25:48 -0400
Don’t fret my Albertan friends. Junior and his gender and minority appropriate cabinet have arrived in a luxury Kananaskis resort for an all expense paid photo-op… err… holiday err cabinet meeting. The guest of honour is Premier Nutley! What could possibly go wrong?

The left never gives up .Never ,ever!!! And that’s why we should be totally recalcitrant , totally committed to defeating these miscreants .Who cares if there is no recall bill. Run recall campaigns anyway. Get people motivated and keep them involved.
The NDP has no moral authority to govern Alberta. Prove it by getting thousands of signatures on recall petitions from every riding. Would this have any impact? Darn right. When individual members return to their ridings knowing full well that 75% of their constituents hate their guts, it has impact.
And this doesn’t apply just to NDP members. The gutless and feckless members of the PC caucus all need to go. Demand their resignations .

Wildrose submitted a Bill for MLA recall. The PC’s all voted against this Bill.

All PC’s are LIBERAL. This includes Ric McIver and Sandra Janzen who openly supports Liberals.

The right wing voters have a need to know who they are voting for, especially in Calgary!
commented 2016-04-23 16:17:58 -0400
Kelvin I couldn’t agree more. All the PC’s should leave and go to their true party the Liberals. They are a joke and they haven’t been a PC for many years. They are always siding with the left so they should go to the left. This is for people that will vote in the next election that normally vote for the right. Look into your hearts and you will see I am right. The person we thought that was a PC, stands for nothing a PC stands for. Because the Wildrose and the PC’s will never join just walk away from the PC’s … They are not on the right side of the bench they are left and left leaning. End all this shit and start pulling your money from their campaigns.

I definitely would not send Lori Sigurdson to the barn to get milk: First I sure she would not be able to find the barn, then if she did firnd the barn she would not be able to find the source of the milk and if somebody pointed out the source she would be looking for the spout and cap. These people aren’t fit to run a school nursery.
commented 2016-04-23 12:41:23 -0400
Donald, totally agree. If most of the PC candidates would properly change to the liberal party this vote splitting would end.
As for the NDP supporters, note that you are in collaboration with yours and my destruction.

I’m sure most of us have seen the political brainiac Karl Rove and his little white board depicting all sorts of political statistical data. So let’s pretend we ar Karl and delve a little closer into the results . For example , the randomly chosen name of an NDP backbencher, Michael Connolly who represents Calgary-Hawkwood.
First, the numbers. Connolly received 7441 votes. His rivals , Jason Luan got 6373 , Jae Shim got 4450 for a combined total of 10,823 . The votes cast against Mr.Connolly adds up to 13, 035 , so he won the riding with roughly 36% of the votes cast. Hardly a majority. The parties representing the right side of the political spectrum got around 52% of the vote , leaving around 12% who apparently didnt like either left or right enough to cast their ballots in their favour.
To conclude , vote splitting allowed a 22 year old socialist with no practical experience to win a seat in the legislature and he is now casting votes that are stabbing the hearts of working class Albertans.
Well this is in the past. What about the present and future? At this point it appears that the two main opposition parties are still fueding over ownership of the fiddle that they can play while Rome burns down. American politician Tip O’Neil was quoted as saying “all politics is local”. History , like that of Danielle Smith shows that big party boss politicians cannot unite parties or people.
If a combined and unified effort to defeat and destroy the NDP is to be mounted, it has to be done at the riding level with new ideas and new people. All the old fiddlers have to be replaced at every riding association. We can’t have a repeat of a Luan/Shim fiasco that let the left win. Case in point. One of these riding associations has to dissolve irrespective of personalities and egos. The Province has to come above the pettiness that has resulted in the disaster that is todays Alberta.

Andrew said, "You chose these idiots Alberta – you deserve all the trash they can hurl at you. "

I didn’t choose these NDP a-holes, but I have to suffer because of the socialist nimrods in Alberta.

MANATOBA had a lot of these Sigurdson N.D.P.types for years that stopped growth for years, then even the teachers and media and other union goons said BY BY, and it will come to pass in Alberta too.

You chose these idiots Alberta – you deserve all the trash they can hurl at you.

Four more years of ndp hell for Alberta.

And with Notley at war with all Albertans, the riots should show up soon.
commented 2016-04-23 06:10:24 -0400
And then I scrolled down and saw Nathan W’s response. Nathan give your head a shake these idiots are spending your money and shaping the society you live in. They are obviously not up to the task and you run interference for them. I have to know, how do you think this ok?
commented 2016-04-23 06:03:31 -0400
I guess a question is what mentality voted these people in. I mean after all there is an election process which is an opportunity to review the candidates. This apparent lack of mental capability and complete lack of discernment isn’t just a western malady, Ontario has also been afflicted with this disease. It is hoped a cure can be found, and soon, else we will have the characters from Sesame Street running our provinces. Judging by what was displayed on the film clip, it might be an improvement.

drew wakariuk

the soldiers would be the only way enforcing S-223 would be possible, considering the non-compliance rate will be even higher than the LGR’s. soldiers and prison camps (there aren’t even close to that many cells). and even that would fail. and cause multiple gun battles.

liberal utopia come true.

Sigurdson may well burst into tears at some of these comments about her outfit, but the plain truth is she is far more “frumpy” than Sheila Gunn Reid ever was.

Deborah Graupner says of Sheila: “Everyday another mistake made and laughed about by these immature goons.” But who is laughing now? really?

Sheila Gunn Reid looks good in a t-shirt. She makes her points clearly and straightforwardly. She is nothing to be laughed about.

Wonder if Lori Sigurdson will read some of the comments, burst into tears, and declare that she is being cyber-bullied???

JAy Kelly this is substance , it shows they are not fit to be in power, you prefer they make things up like the media party. Now tell me all the SUBSTANCE the anti Harper and Ford stories had?
And sorry but the truth is not a hit piece.
commented 2016-04-23 01:39:51 -0400
Drew Wakariuk, you say “Nathan W it is not a shit piece when it is true.”

He was asking for substance.
commented 2016-04-23 01:31:59 -0400
Nathan W still waiting for Harpers hidden agenda and soldiers on the street to come to fruition , well the soldiers may come true , but it will be Justins doing.
commented 2016-04-23 01:31:01 -0400
Nathan W it is not a hit piece when it is true. So how did all those hundreds of hit piece stories on Duffy turn out LMAO!
commented 2016-04-23 01:16:43 -0400
Sheila Gunn Reid is not “frumpy”. If anything, the government minister Lori Sigurdson is frumpy. She is wearing loose-fitting clothing over a full-figured body.

Sheila Gunn Reid should not loose any credibility for wearing a t-shirt.
commented 2016-04-23 00:37:55 -0400
OMG OMG OMG! Someone in legislature gave the finger! Read all about it! He’s SUCH a liar!

Anyone of substance guys? The daily anti-NDP hit piece is particularly lame today.

It’s time for Alberta to boot the NDP out of office.
They’ve had a year to get their house in order, but all they want to do is screw the citizen’s of Alberta at every turn.
I can hardly wait to see what Monday brings.
