Alberta NDP's "attack budget" will cost them "EVERY SEAT in the 2019 election"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Alberta’s extremist NDP unveiled their attack budget. I call it an attack budget because it targets the oil and gas industry, and those who work in it.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

Record spending on government unions. A $6.1 billion deficit this year. Debt will hit $18.9 billion this year — and $47 billion by the time their term is up in 2019-2020, just four years from now.

They've announced a Jobs Creation Incentive Program where unionized government bureaucrats will hand out 5,000 dollars to people who hire new people.

But Shell just cancelled their Carmon Creek oilsands project. Does anyone think that back at Shell headquarters, they’re saying — oh, look at that, we’ll get five thousand dollars if we hire people let’s go back into Alberta?

This budget is like the Occupy Wall Street hippies were put in charge of the bank for four years. They know they’ll be kicked out but they don’t care.

I predict the NDP will lose every seat in the 2019 election.

But so what? It will still take ten years to recover from their attack on the province.

Tell Rachel Notley to stop her war on oil and gas jobs in Alberta.

What goes around comes around. When the investments of the union pensions have collapsed because of this type of governance, we can all commiserate at the food bank together. These idiots don’t have a f’#ing clue what they’re doing to the economy and the future of us all.

LOL!!! Listen to the ultra-simplicity of You K.

Cons ran the AB finances into the ground. Oil prices collapsed. Yep, it’s the NDP’s fault. How about this, lets close the oil sands, diversify the economy & voila, more money!
Oh jus’ like that huh? You couldn’t say, for starters, overlap new and old economies? More important, what is this “new economy” of yours? What are you going to say – “green economy”??? Something empty like that? Common’ redneck – give it to us. Show us the light . . . . .

Listen to You K. Another Lefty Redneck.
Bullshit there Drew. It’s like Harper’s mysterious federal surplus. Robbed it from Veterans, First Nations & Seniors to create a paper surplus. The problem with Alberta is the people like yourself. Please, do the rest of Canada a favour, separate. We want you gone from this great country – take your hatred, racism & ignorance with you.
Ok You K – prove it!!! Yup, you heard me. Prove the things you say about Harper. Veterans? He closed a couple offices and consolidated them with others ’cause they were serving like 2 guys. Seniors? He gave them tax breaks, what the hell are you talking about? First Nations? He increased funding substantially, not to mention he set a Res School victim fund, launched the Truth and reconciliation Report, resolved more land claims than any PM in the countries history, shone a light on the financial abuses of the Chiefs hoarding the money, and tried to resolve the housing and education issues. But pls – show us where you got your information from. . . . .

The New Depression Party has no conscience, just a bankrupt ideology that destroys economies. Out with them!

Charles said, “Keith I was thinking the same thing. Where is Vlad? I haven’t seen him on here in days. Oh maybe the Lefties got him and are trying to brainwash him Lol”

Yea, good luck, lefties! I doubt Vlad could be brainwashed. Might end up with a few less lefties in this world, though. ;o)

Bill Smith said, “I guess they could hang-on to one seat in Alberta.. there is always that certain area where a certain type like to congregate.”

Yes, there is that one riding right near the U of A that is always NDP. That might be Notley’s riding, but I am not sure.

Look at the History of Politics, world wide, for the last one hundred years. What good has ever come from a left wing political party?

Where is Vlad?

Sorry Ezra, but the Old Strathcona Riding is full of University Students, Professors and Welfare bums and always goes NDP but other than that your probably correct.

The petroleum industry’s been acting like a bunch of gravy-sucking pigs for decades as the previous government has given them oodles of favours. I’m so glad the NDP put $5 million more into the arts!

I never understand why green and socialism always seem to go hand-in-hand. If the environmentalists were smart they’d become capitalists and make it happen. They call green energy the next ‘industrial revolution’ but I don’t remember the first one being run by socialists.

It is through the unions, and the union stooges like Rachel Notley, that the UN is funneling money in to destroy capitalism. Nothing this aggressive NDP government does makes any sense, because the goal is to kill the capitalist economy, and keep people down, while they take over our democratic freedoms. Rachel is a traitor to AB and Canada, and when the hypocrite and all those followers of the death cult of communism, who think they know what’s best for everyone, fly off to their sacred temple of worship for mother earth, at the UN in December, the attack will be complete. I believe that Rachel will sacrifice AB to her UN demon gods.

Thanks Yousa… I must admit that as a resident of B.C. “separate” now looks very appealing, and I suspect will be even more so in the coming months… And Yvette – I am still in the market for the first company that manufactures a catcher’s mitt named “THE NOTLEY”…

Terry Rogers, I almost want to pat you on the head for unintentionally guessing right. The people out of jobs will be looking for blue collar work. Sort of like site C damn and BC’s natural gas. Those places need workers so of course it would be good news for BC. Seriously, I just have to shake my head at you. Where do they find people like you?
commented 2015-10-29 02:17:22 -0400
Yousa, it was never mysterious. They kind of pinpointed it right out of the gate. I think the important thing is it was balanced, like all budgets ought to be. Do you really think your arrogance is going to make a lick of difference when people realize they have been fooled? Who is we? Is their coup d’etat? Actually, that sounds eerily on the mark.
commented 2015-10-29 02:14:37 -0400
Granted, what the NDP is doing to Alberta is much worse than what the NDP did to BC, but NDP was able to hang-on to two seats in BC at the end of the dark-decade…. I guess they could hang-on to one seat in Alberta.. there is always that certain area where a certain type like to congregate.

Terry Rogers, the NDP may close off the pipelines BC has running through ALberta , don’t get too excited.

Yousa they had a small surplus moron, and this was planned when oil was low , so WRONG AS USUAL. And sorry money does not come from magic trees like you think.

@ Yvette. I noticed she always looked smug in the assembly. Not an endearing trait for a politician. Maybe getting a tarnished name, like Bob Rae, will teach her some humility.

Dave Robinson & Paul Deuler, I agree completely.

Yvette Mozol, “The salaries of the private sector have shrunk (that is a fact)”

You bet it is. I took a 26K pay cut for 3 months and then was Layed Off due to lack of work, so I have first hand experience in that, and I know some others that have taken pay cuts too.

I wish someone would go & wipe that stupid grin off Notley’s face. Trudeau, Notley & Wynnebag, the three of them are going to be the death of Canada. I am not an Albertan, but I have family there & I’m just fuming mad. What is happening to Ab is beyond belief & I cannot believe that Albertans will just stand by & allow this insanity to fester & continue. The salaries of the private sector have shrunk (that is a fact), but did Notley & her merry men take a cut in their salary, well heck no, they were going to give themselves a raise & they’ve just been elected. That was a win for Albertans, when the voice of the people came through loud & clear & they backed down. Just like Obama, they will fill theirs & their friends’ pockets for the next 3 1/2 yrs, while hardworking Albertans work harder & earn less. What a crock!!!

@ Peter – It’s actually a pretty genius system the Libs have figured you. Take Ontario in the last election, where an obviously corrupt Wynne was elected to a majority. This doesn’t make sense off hand but you’re right about the public sector. Assume 60% of people vote in elections (the number for ‘08 and ’11 federal). The public sector, very generously, employs 20% of the population. So right off the bat you have 33.3% of the votes (20/60). Throw in their spouses and you’re easily at roughly 50% of the votes (30/60). It’s a pretty simple system but it relies on making sure that the public sector is so generously compensated that they would be fools to vote against you. Voter turn out in the last Ontario provincial election was only 52%, which explains the heavy majority. I assume we will never again see a con govt in ontario again. Alberta is a little more vocal so there’s hope.

For the foreseeable future I believe their plan will appeal to the new “city” voters.

Possibly they will even win the next election if they can spend enough to win votes. All they need to do is convince voters that the enormous new debt will be “an investment”. Think I’m wrong? Most Ontarions believe that nonsense — why not Albertans.
commented 2015-10-28 22:44:01 -0400
@ Belinda – Bingo. They will buy votes in the public sector by bribing them, much like Wynne did in Ontario. Unfortunately, it appears to be a successful formula … appeal to the greedy nature of people, carrot on the stick and all that.

@ Terry Rogers – Ahhhh, ok I see, so you just want our businesses. Now I understand what you mean.
