Alberta PC establishment uses “fuzzy” rules to block pro-unity Kenney in leadership race

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

The Progressive Conservative establishment in Alberta is working hard to block the pro-unity leadership candidacy of Jason Kenney, levying a $5,000 fine and stripping him of 15 delegates after finding Kenny guilty of breaching the party’s fuzzy leadership campaign rules.

The PCAA party says that Kenney is guilty of campaigning “in or near” a delegate selection meeting held at a South Edmonton golf course because he hosted a hospitality suite at the same business on the same night as the meeting.

Kenny wasn't in the delegate selection meeting room, nor was there an accusation that he was. The problem is with the word “near” and how it is measured.

The Kenny campaign says it reached out on two separate occasions for clarity with regard to what “near” means and they received no answer.

Watch to see why I think the PCs and their fake investigation into the misdeeds of Jason Kenney was all just a theatrical exercise to seem fair — while being anything but.

The PC establishment is doing everything they can to remind us they are the same old party people were so desperate to get rid of.

They’d rather grant our province into the hands of the socialists for another term than let an actual conservative, like Kenney, lead their party.

What needs to be done now is to expose the faux conservative party, and promote the only party that is trying to remain conservative, which is the WR. I think Jason should have played his cards closer to his chest, but he decided to be open about his goals. Now those who wish to control us are going to use whatever means possible to discredit him. He should either focus on starting another grass roots conservative party, or work to promote the WR, which is already established. I certainly don’t agree with everything the WR is doing, but they are mostly for the people, and capitalism. They will get my vote!

Hey Dan I thought I was being pretty straightforward to… FIOFFS.

Dan mancuso…
“…I hate to say this but if you keep pushing your agenda it’s people like you that want to split the vote and we will get another majority NDP government…”

Please enlighten me as to what you think ‘my agenda’ is, because my comment pretty much said the opposite – that unity of the right was an imperative!
What’s going on in both the PCs and WR is ego, vanity and maintaining the power structure of individual agendas – the very BS which ‘allowed’ the communist take-over by the Notley Globalists in the first place!
The right in Alberta needs to get its priorities straightened out and get it’s ass in gear to get this unity thing figured out – FIGURE IT OUT FFS!

Kenny just give up on them , they are corrupted beyond repair.

LEVITICUS, I reject your claim that I have slandered you with falsehoods. I take umbrage with folks making unsubstantiated accusations against Kenney or anyone else for that matter. As far as calling me a “typical PC liberal”, consider that you show hallmarks of the typical liberal progressive whose argument tends to ad hominem attacks, such as calling Kenney “a buffoon” and sarcastedly telling me to wipe off my chin. Interesting that you seem to know what Brian Jean was thinking when he mentioned the possibility of “bringing in a carbon tax in the future”. If the election were held today, I would vote for Wildrose. As far as who I will vote for when the time comes, I will let the process play out and the best situation in my view would be no vote splitting to risk the NDP being elected once more.

Dan mancuso… We’ve only got one more time to get it right..!! The PCs have shit all over us the NDP has shit all over us and wipe their ass with us and so far Brian Jean and his party are the only ones to hit the streets rallying people to what they want and what they’re going to do with the majority government..
I hate to say this but if you keep pushing your agenda it’s people like you that want to split the vote and we will get another majority NDP government.
Keep in mind for the umpteenth time that the wild Rose wanted to introduce recall legislation to control runaway politicians… The PCs voted in the same direction as the NDP thus proving the whole damn party is contaminated and must work to rebuild themselves but not on the backs of the Wild Rose…

Would I be remiss in calling your piece an exposé, SGR?
[ek-spoh-zey]
noun
1. – a public exposure or revelation, as of something discreditable.
2. – an exposition of facts.

It’s a good thing the ‘right’ in Alberta has a few more years to get organized in order to ‘unite’…
commented 2016-11-22 21:56:20 -0500
They are the same PCs. Get real people. Only one opposition party is gonna work. I’m voting Wildrose 3 rd time’s the charm. Break out the champagne ugh and unregulated beer

Ron Voss… I take umbrage that you would slander me with falsehoods.. You remind me of the
Typical PC liberal That will do anything to get into power… Maybe you should wipe off your chin and go do a little real research about a turncoat like Jason Kenney… Couldn’t even complete the responsibilities of his tenure. and that my good man is not a falsehood..
commented 2016-11-22 20:40:10 -0500
Ron Voss… When Brian Jean was speaking to some sort of carbon tax what he was suggesting was when the rest of the world and the major powers and nations get on board with it maybe that’s when Canada could come on board but until that point it is not something to be thrown at the Canadian citizens right now..
All other major countries around the world have abandoned the carbon tax because the human cost was too high… What that means Ron is even their governments had some sort of sympathy for their people but not our Trudeau liberals… Hit them harder and faster hit them when they’re down and don’t let them get up especially in the west…
Vote Wild Rose provincially and vote Brad Trost federally for a decent and responsible administration answerable to the people.
commented 2016-11-22 20:36:00 -0500
Dave Bernard… All the PCs that you’re speaking about had their Chance and they failed miserably..! Leave Brian Jean alone to pick and choose and build his party He is the only one campaigning to crowds right now making an effort to right the wrongs that the Alberta people are suffering..!!’
commented 2016-11-22 20:32:42 -0500
I stand with you Jamie… Jayson Kenny has no desire to stand for anything but himself first the party second and as you say he had the opportunity to support his constituents at the federal level and make some noise in the favor of mainstream Canadians and failed to do that then he left his constituents high and dry to pursue opportunity someplace else.
commented 2016-11-22 20:29:29 -0500
I guess you don’t understand how important it is to have recall legislation to keep a leash on your politicians.
So basically if the people didn’t want it the people wouldn’t get it or they would recall their politicians and throw a vote…!!!!
You have to remember that the PCs voted along with the NDP to quash that..!!
commented 2016-11-22 20:18:14 -0500
Disappointingly, neither Kenney nor Jean dismisses man-made climate change for the hoax that it is, a leftwing scam to transform our economy:
http://business.financialpost.com/fp-comment/kevin-libin-enter-jason-kenney-canadas-fiercest-carbon-tax-killer
However, note that Jean does not rule out Wildrose bringing in some sort of carbon tax in the future! Unfortunately, Jamie there appears to be only one politician in Canada that would answer your question to your satisfaction, Brad Trost.
commented 2016-11-22 20:17:19 -0500
True conservatives from the PCs need to join Wildrose. The remainder are libs and dips who will just become extinct.
commented 2016-11-22 20:01:32 -0500
Hey Jason! Jason Kenney! Yeah, you!

Before you get on your “unite the right” horsey, how about answering one simple question: what do you think about all this climate change bullshit, Jason? You know, the great scam that is the foundation upon which sits the economic ruin called Ontario. The very premise of all the regulatory crap that Old weatherbeaten Raiche is saddling Albertans with. Do you have the balls now to stand up and speak out against it, Jason?

Because you sure as hell didn’t when you had your chance in Ottawa.

LEVITICUS, people seem to have enough arguments against Kenney that they don’t have to use falsehoods, for example, that he is on board with the coal phaseout or that he didn’t oppose the carbon tax. He said he would kill the latter in an interview with Ezra. While the PC party voted against recall legislation, don’t assume that Kenney would oppose it.
commented 2016-11-22 19:42:27 -0500
Ron voss, I watched him in a news interview where he looked right at the camera and agreed with it. I don’t really care though I wouldn’t vote for the pcs if you paid me to and if kenny manages to meld his party with the wildrose I will never vote for him to be leader.
commented 2016-11-22 19:18:57 -0500
And recall legislation was proposed by Wild Rose.. How can you not trust anybody that would let politician stay in power based on their own merits and performance and not up to the party that would abandon the people to continue to slop at the trough..!!!
commented 2016-11-22 19:13:08 -0500
And sorry there Ronnie… The Liberals use Twitter and Facebook tactics to say that they have heard the voice of the majority of the Canadian people… Jason Kenney is a buffoon and left his own people high and dry that voted for him… He is an opportunist and nothing more..
Just keep in mind the entire PC party voted against recall legislation and they voted in line with the NDP
Recall legislation would put the power and the authority back to the people and away from buffoons like this..
commented 2016-11-22 19:08:47 -0500
Kenny certainly didn’t stick around to the federal level to try to protect his constituents and the rest of Canada from what Trudeau is trying to do… Ron Voss..
Like most Canadians you are easily swayed by one or two fancy lines and that is the problem… Jason Kenney never even spoke against the two levels of carbon tax that we are going to feel very shortly here in Alberta and the rest of Canada…
The PCs at a provincial level must die a natural death and try to rebirth themselves but in the meantime there is only one party that will bring Alberta back to what it used to be as well as stand up to whatever federal authority tries to dictate policy to us here in the provinces..
Vote wild Rose provincially and Brad Trost federally..
We haven’t got any chances left to get it right folks… The next election will be upon us before we know it and so far the only party that’s got it’s shit together and campaigning right now as we speak with a bona fide supported leader is the wild Rose.
The PCs are still struggling in the Mire and in so by doing that they haven’t even got a policy platform together but keep in mind not one of them spoke out against the carbon tax and they all voted with the NDP for “no recall legislation”..
We haven’t got any more chances to get this right…!!!!!!

KEN HANSON, “and kenney is on board with the coal phase out”. Simply not true. Check recent post at his Facebook page.
commented 2016-11-22 17:39:05 -0500
Do you not unite the right… Do not be confused by anybody that wants to unite the right… Vote wild Rose if you want our Alberta back… Uniting the right will bring PC liberals into the hard-fought victory that Brian Jean is trying to achieve…
commented 2016-11-22 17:35:30 -0500
Stephen E…
Look at what Jayson Kenny has to offer Canada as a leader and then go look at Brad Trost and what he has to offer and honestly the comparison between the two well let’s just say there is none… Brad trust is a hard-working man of the people and hasn’t been a politician all his life.. Brad is outspoken and knows what needs to be done to not only rescue but reverse the damage that the Liberals have done to Canada. Jason Kenney is a lifetime chin wiping ass kissing professional politician whose only goal is himself first his party second and well obviously his constituents don’t even rate a decent third because he walked away on the ones that had elected him in a federal position seeking a better opportunity someplace else before his tenure was complete. How can this man do anything for Alberta when his only concern is himself..
These corrupt politicians have been screwing the west for so long that they don’t even try to hide it anymore because they don’t think anybody’s looking or we don’t care anymore or they think that maybe we’ll think this is the way it is now. If you want true change for the better and the reversal of the NDP policies vote Brian Jean and the Wild Rose in the next provincial election and elevate brad trust to PC leadership against the liberals in Ottawa.
commented 2016-11-22 17:28:42 -0500
Neh, who cares, they are nothing but liberal light anyway and kenney is on board with the coal phase out. Vote wildrose and unite the right!
commented 2016-11-22 16:29:20 -0500
How easily a party can shoot itself not only in the foot, but in the head as well. The Republican insiders tried the same with Trump and see how well that worked out for them.

Jason, oh Jason… your efforts would have been more appreciated if you ran for the federal party and become PM of Canada.
commented 2016-11-22 16:29:16 -0500
What for Philip…? Do you just want to see the vote get split further..
He is a crook.. Kenny is a crook and he abandoned the people who voted for him at a federal level to seek opportunity in Alberta…
The whole goddamn PC party is full of liberals and crooks right now… Why do you want to see that get split and further confuse people who are a low to medium information voter and the ones that are just trying/starting to wake up now…
The PCs have shot them self in the foot and to follow up that act of stupidity they shot themselves in the head , let them bleed out and die a natural death. The only party that’s interested in returning Alberta back to what it was and maintaining authority over our own natural resources is the wild Rose. Let them take the reins and be a strong opposition to any federal dictatorship the same way that Peter Lockheed was against Pierre Elliott Trudeau…
Brad wall next-door would become a tremendous Ally to Alberta and I’m sure no, I am positive that we could work out any issues we had if we had grownups in Alberta’s legislator instead of ones who are trying to change and brake contracts with all her trading partners
and bring us to economic poverty like the NDP.. Just for
“recall legislation” alone would and should be enough reason to vote wild Rose but there is oh so many more reasons than that…
Imagine that a political party that is giving protection and authority back to the people..!!!!
That is something the PCs, the liberals and the NDP would never consider doing anything like that for the people… The Wild Rose is our ticket back to prosperity and freedom.
commented 2016-11-22 16:17:40 -0500
All Kenny is doing is making sure we’re stuck with the NDP after the next election. There are a lot of people who will never have anything to do with the PC’s again no matter what. The PC’s have made it clear they want nothing to do with the WR, or Kenny for that matter.
