American folk singer to head to Syria in attempt to 'win ISIS over' with peace concert

Rebel Staff

Folk singer James Twyman from Portland is headed to Syria.

According to Fox News, the he believes he can 'soften the hearts' of Islamic terrorists with a concert.

“It’s going to be pretty powerful,” Twyman said. “When people come
together and focus on something in a positive way…there’s scientific evidence that it can change things for the better.”

This isn't Twyman's first rodeo.

In the1990s, Twyman performed in Baghdad and in Bosnia and Croatia during the Balkan War.

He will be leaving on January 20, to stop in Italy before going to Israel. From there he'll head to Syria.

The 'peace concert' is set for Jan 31. His contracts are trying to secure a venue in ISIS-controlled territory.

Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders will be joining him.

“Each one will lead the group in prayer from their religion,” Twyman said. “It’s going to be pretty powerful.”

As for the dangers of heading to ISIS-controlled Syria, Twyman thinks it's his duty and he has to do this.

“I’m no sort of hero, but I do believe in the power of this,” he says.

We have already had well meaning but foolish young people killed over there because they were in zones they had no business being in. I can’t imagine this ending well.

I hope he goes there and cranks that death metal crap, which is the only music that they deserve. That music fits right in with their evil ideology!

Please, someone make sure this fellow, before he goes, does not include any words like ‘beheading’, ‘torture’, or any similar words or phrases, in the lyrics of his songs.

The peace concert in Syria? Lol, what a utopia this guy is living in. It sounds like the false peace of the UN agenda. It will never be accomplished by man, but it will be falsely pronounced as the solution to world problems. There will always be trouble in the world and the only true peace is that of a relationship with Christ. Take for instance; Isaiah 57:20-21 says, “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.” They CANNOT REST, and they CANNOT HAVE PEACE."

Remember scripture says that there will be a “peace treaty” falsely implemented globally as “one” which will revolve around Daniel 2, 7 and 9.

This man is extremely naive to think he can implement some form of true world peace. He’s fooling himself. He should stay home and help an aging neighbor or something. He is right, he is not a hero. He is just ignorant to truth.

I’m sure that we’re all very worried about the safety of Mr. Folksy Left-singer but I’m sure he’ll be just fine. It’s certainly not worth losing your head over it.

Oh, right. Poor choice of words? Not really. If it weren’t completely disgusting and inappropriate I’d be tempted to have a pool on this guy’s chances of making it past day 1, then day 2, etc. Give a percentage of the earnings to his family, since it’s pretty much guaranteed they will never see him again.

They kidnap better people than him, people that are there to help them, to patch up their broken bones and bullet wounds for Dog’s sake! This guy has no chance at all. First badly played chord and his head will fly.

I’m not really that scared of dying. Never have been. the pain of dying is a bit concerning to me, but the ‘being dead’ part, no big deal. Going to a place where they cut off heads for fun and profit (and entertainment) to sing ‘Kumbaya’ to the guys that love chopping off heads? That’s just crazy. There are far better ways to get head, right?

ISIS runs several human slaughterhouses in Syria for people they don’t like, and the locals feast on the meat. Methinks Twyman will be the one getting his heart tenderized.

Look at the bright side. At least it is a leftist westerner going over there. That sounds a lot better than Canadian kids singing that Muslim welcome song.

I use to work with a guy who was as nasty a creature to ever have existed. I use to tell him I was going to print a t-shirt with his picture on it with a slogan saying the Grinch became flesh and walked among us. This folk singer I think is the embodiment of liberal fantasy/ideology. Somebody needs to stop him. I would hate to see the death of the eternal optimist.

I hope he left a signed will back in Portland. Within a few weeks of arriving there I expect that he’ll be dead at the hands of ISIS or will be dead fighting for ISIS.

He does realize that singing is banned in that part of the world and it could be punishable by death.

The last thing seen before having your head put on a stake is a group of Isis members “eating a snickers”. Seriously is this guy on drugs? If so let’s hope he has enough to share.

I hope he takes Neil Young with him…!

Wow! If I were their life insurance broker, I would make it clear to them that their benefits will be forfeited from being paid out to their benefactors because of the stupid stunt they are about to do. I am sure there is a clause in the contract about suicide.

“According to Fox News, the he believes he can ‘soften the hearts’ of Islamic terrorists with a concert. "

Is that before or after they chop off his head?
