There are so many reason why this happened. It was a perfect storm of revulsion for four decades of PC rule, led by Jim Prentice and distrust for the Wildrose after their former leader Danielle Smith and several other Wildrose MLAs betrayed the party by crossing the floor to the PCs.
The NDP benefited from the division and chaos on the right and surged into power with a caucus full of inexperienced rookies. Some never bothered to campaign or door knock. Some still lived at home with their parents. Some, like NDP MLA Rod Loyola, worship former Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.
This mix of radical leftist ideology and lack of real world experience has been catastrophic for the province.
And today, on this anniversary of the election of the worst government we have ever had, I’m giving them a report card.
