Three big radical anti-pipeline groups unite -- with “blessing” of Trudeau’s Environment Minister

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

Three radical environmental activist groups are ganging up to attack Alberta and they have the blessing of the Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna

McKenna is speaking at an event celebrating the new partnership between three environmental organizations; Environmental Defence, Equiterre and Pembina Institute.

This is how the event is described:

“Members of the media are invited to attend an event to celebrate a new era of climate action in Canada and a new alliance between Environmental Defence, Équiterre and the Pembina Institute. The April 14th reception will be co-hosted by the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and François-Philippe Champagne, Member of Parliament for Saint-Maurice–Champlain and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance.”

What makes this more than just an organic cocktail party for wine and cheese environmentalists are the stances of these three organizations with regard to TransCanada’s proposed east-west pipeline, Energy East.

Equiterre demanded that Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre block Energy East. They even ran a “say no to the tar sands” petition. Coderre listened.

Environmental Defence released a statement about Energy East in regards to Ontario and Quebec saying that “it is our understanding that the pipeline must be rejected by both provinces.”

Pembina Institute doesn’t quite have the guts to go all in like Equiterre and Environmental. Instead they’ll let an increasingly onerous pipeline review process do the work for them. A statement from Pembina’s Director of Federal Policy said “any regulatory review should include not only the pipeline itself but the impact of producing the crude that will flow through it.” They want to block Energy East by regulating it and reviewing it to death.

The Liberals and Trudeau say they support Energy East. But the Liberals are showing Canadians just how much they really mean it by throwing their support behind the very people who are doing everything they can to keep Canadian oil landlocked.

After 16 years of typical NDP mis-managment, Manitobans will boot Selinger in the butt come Tuesday… This will bring Notley into sharp focus as the books are scrutinized in Winnipeg and voters see how NDP policies run budgets and local economies into the ground… Then, as I predicted some months ago, ousting Notley will become the symbol of Western Separation… It’s “Springtime” on the prairies…

Watch what Liebranos do, not what they say. Therein lies the truth!

I am from Ontario and I support western Canada.I AGREE that the Liberals will never allow a pipeline east.If you want to screw up a economy just vote Liberal or NDP and watch the distruction.I blame all the idiots that started the Harper hater club.

Lawrence O"Bryrne – www.seniorsworldwide.net has a political discussion group on many political topics. You should check the website to see if that is what you are looking for. If you are 40ish, it would be okay to become a member. Many articles from The Rebel are discussed there.
If it wasn’t for Ezra Levant and staff following up and reporting as it should be, we would be in the dark like those who do not bother to visit The Rebel site to be informed. As for Trudeau, brace yourselves for a very long 4 years and hope he is defeated in the next election. As for separation from the East, there are groups actively planning this but they are on Facebook.

No pipelines will ever be built while Trudeau is in power. This is just another example of the anti oil agenda that the Liberals are promoting quietly while paying lip service to building pipelines. Western Canada will never be treated with any respect from this point on. More and more, Canada is resembling the Canada of the 70’s when the West was nothing more then a collection of dumb farmers to the Liberals who had no value. Welcome to 2016.

I just had a thought … if Alberta (and a few other provinces hopefully) separated from eastern Canada, what would happen to all the NDP/Liberals/Greenies?
I don’t want any of those parasites to remain in the newly formed country.

I posted the comment below before reading the first page. I am so happy to see I am not the only one who is sick and tired of eastern Canada. Its time for Alberta to start looking at options other than Canada. At this point forward I am an Albertan first. Not a Canadian!

Look… you people, Western Canadians are playing this hopeful game thinking Ottawa and the Cabinet of liberal carebears will eventually do this pipeline? forget it!!! Turdeau is AntiCanadian and especially AntiWest! get over it. We need to take action and consider separating from the East Once and for all. Sounds harsh? even Anti Unified Canada. We folks wake up and after 4 years of this UN led fiasco there won’t be a Canada! So salvage what we can and lets build a bright future with the western Part of Canada. Let the east rot in their Liberal cesspool of lazy Climate, tree hugger world.

Fast forward year 2020: Since the citizens revolt in Alberta, and the ouster of catchers mitt (or mutt) Nutley, Brian Jean and Brad Wall have successfully merged Sask and AB into one country. Eastern Canada can follow Imam Justine and go Halal or go straight to Hell. BC can convert seaweed or ride bikes or something. The REPUBLICAN govt in the US has officially opened the Keystone pipeline from SaskAlta, the new Superpower of the north. And NO NO NO more transfer payments. Sorry Kbec, you can pay your own fucking daycare. As a side note I have finally realized how Turdo Sr. introduced his multicultural initiative. All of Margarets lovers made a blend of their love juices. Out came the turkey baster and voila, out popped Justine, aka Peter Pan.How did that work out. Enough said!

Sheila – the same red tape you say the Pembina Institute wants for oil and pipelines are exactly what Albertan should be DEMANDING of the NDP Green energy projects, plans and proposals. We have to tie them up in the same kind of reviews, studies and public hearings as pipeline had to go through and delay them until the next election.. Not only would all this red tape be proper due diligence, it would be the time consuming delays Albertans need to stop the green insanity that is bankrupting us the same as it has Ontario.

The best way to fight back is to boycott all products coming from Eastern Canada. Hit them in the pockets and tunes change. Bombardier, maple syrup, to begin with for Quebec. That new vehicle you thought of buying stop. Save your money defer your purchase until after the next election or buy American. Stop buying Eastern Canadian products, Frenches is another example, a heavily subsidized Ontario product. Let’s bring about a total ban on Eastern products. Most of all start openly speaking of separation. Trudeau doesn’t need Western Canadians and we sure as hell don’t need him. Let’s make Trudeau’s legacy be one of separation. The Liberals called Harper divisive and yet it is Trudeau who has pitted Eastern Canada against the West. Western Canada has supported the welfare state of Eastern Canada long enough and it’s time to cut our losses. Quebec and Ontario corruption are full blown mafia organizations supported by Liberal politics along with big union mobs. Eastern Canada has nothing to offer that we couldn’t produce on our own or from a cheaper or respected source.

Canada we are done as a nation if this is openly acceptable. We are letting these destroyers destroy western values for their global ideology. We all want a better future for our children, but this is not going to happen under this globalist agenda. I fear for the future of my son.

Isn’t that against CRA rules and against the Constitution?
commented 2016-04-15 09:47:41 -0400
Oh, come on, people!

I’m sure Equiterre, Environmental Defence, and the Pembina Institute are eager to approve the Energy East pipeline! Have faith in these wonderful organizations!

Bahahahaha! I could barely keep a straight face while typing that. I crack myself up!

To all Canadians of which I am a proud one. I am fed up of the east side hatred or jealousy of Alberta. The time for talk is soon ending. The Alberta Separatist movement is gaining traction. With Notley and Trudeau he’ll bent on destroying this province it may just come. Frankly, I hope it does. The threat of separatism works. Look what it has done for Quebec. Trudeau doesn’t care about Alberta as he does not require a single vote here to get his majority. Politically why would he care. It is the mission of anyone in power to stay in power. Now if the threat of an economically separate and distinct Alberta were real. The oil would be in a pipeline right now. If you can’t bribe a politician with your vote, money works quite well.

that is how she should be prepared for upcoming events.
there are these people out there, lets call them ‘canadians’.
Catherine McKenna needs to meet a few of these people who she actually works for.

I’m sure that Minister Catherine McKenna is a lady true to her beliefs, and farts in her gas tank every morning to get to work…

This is why I’ve never had respect for Harper.
Too much of a softy.
He should’ve pounded both east and west pipelines through.
He had nearly a decade to do it.
And not a single spade dug into the ground on his watch.
I would’ve had the shovels digging my second day in office.

Turdo fasttracks death-cult muslims.

I fasttrack jobs, prosperity, energy, security, Canada’s competitive dominance in the world, and truth-based environmental sustainability.

@ GLENN CRAIG re: “prime minister Wahabi bin Mick Jager al Wanabi” — Clever! Not bad…

…it’s just that some scrutineers of Selfie’s parentage are suggesting it was really Keith Richards! Still, it’s good to see some sly mastery of a lineage charted by the world’s would-be Master Race. More Canadians need to know more — a lot more! — about its culture and outlook.

It’s all a smoke screen funded by Saudis who don’t want to loose our dependance on their oil…..I am astounded that the “conspiracy theorists” and those who demonstrate against “corporate big oil”…got so easily duped and side tracked by prime minister Wahabi bin Mick Jager al Wanabi’ ……him sucking up to the Saudis at the stop point of the energy east pipline is just enough inauspicious co-incidence that it would have set off alarm bells back in the day when I supported the leftist environmentalist movement…..the bourgeoise intelligencia just ain’t what it used to be.
