Religious persecution death toll explodes, but Liberals only care about climate change cult

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

The Liberals are hinting at ending the Office of Religious Freedom in spite of the pleas of the Jewish, Sikh and Ahmadiyya Muslim communities.

Liberals are considering cutting this valuable office and ending it's mandate in a time when religious persecution is exploding across the world.

Pew Research Centre reports “More than three-quarters of the world’s population (77%) was living with high or very high levels of restrictions on religion in 2013. This was an increase from 68% in 2007.”

Open Doors UK, a non-profit group that tracks religious persecution says that in 2015, 7000 Christians were killed because of their faith, 3000 more than the year before.

These numbers don’t include North Korea, Syria and Iraq where records don’t exist. In terms of violence against Christians and their property, Nigeria and Central African Republic top the list.

Children are being burned alive, crucified and sold into sex slavery because of their faith in the Middle East and North Africa. Women are being raped and stoned for apostasy. Christian men are being beheaded until the waters of the sea run red.

If Canada won’t fight the monsters doing this, shouldn't we advocate for these religious minorities?

The Office of Religious freedom costs Canada a mere $5 million per year to combat religious persecution. The Federal Government has committed more than $4 billion to help developing countries combat climate change.

Seems the only religious freedom Canada will defend is that of the cult of climate change.

Marcel Preteau that is what liberals do pretty much all the time, suddenly they are abandoning it for their radical Islamic masters.

Simple question. Do we really think that the best way for our Federal Government to shape material change in global human rights abuses (religiously motivated or otherwise) is to have a department and handful of staffers to do so? The realities of the situation is sad, but $5M currently being spent does little more than perhaps ease the conscience of some, with no tangible impact in the “real world”.

Hi, Sam, how ya’ doin’? Nice to hear brilliant, insightful commentary, as usual.

Seems like Sheila has been moving in the direction of making videos that sound like this. You have the government do this, but won’t do that. And then she tries her best to somehow connect two unrelated topics. IE: Religious freedom and climate change. Or DDT and abortion.

If I can draw your attention to the various excerpts from speeches given by Liberal government officials and Marxist global-warming religious fanatics. (Sorry, I can’t recall who or when, but the videos of these speeches were posted here, as you’ll recall if you’re a regular viewer). According to the Liberals, and all left-wing Socialists, religious persecution and terrorist violence IS caused by global warming. So, you see, by not focusing on religious freedom per se, they are addressing the issue, indirectly but more affectively, by tackling global warming. Apparently, Liberals don’t understand the concept deductive reasoning and sound logic. I hope I’m not around to see how this all will play out. Too many of our young people have been brainwashed by a communist education system that does not allow for a free exchanged of ideas, but imposes a “group-think” doctrine, devoid of deductive reason, objective logic, and common sense. I don’t see turning this around. We can sign Mac Dale’s petition, but I don’t think it will do any good. Western civilization is hell bent on self-destruction. Abraham Lincoln warned of this, “If destruction be our lot, we ourselves will be it’s author and finisher. As a nation of free men we can live forever, or die by suicide.” Unfortunately, with political correctness deemed to be the highest human virtue, we are choosing suicide.

Well, the last thing we needed was another federal government agency. I mean, freedom is freedom – we didn’t need a special office for religious freedom any more than we needed an office for “lifestyle” freedom or one for “keeping a Pet” freedom. So if Tinkerbell turdo was planning to ditch this gang in recognition of the fact that the promotion of religious freedoms could be quite capably (and properly) handled by the various domestic and international ministries, departments, and agencies that we already have in place, then I’d clap for the tit. But, as several commenters have already divined, that is likely not the case.

More likely that they look at retaining the office as a potential political liability: if they keep it in place they might have to face embarrassing questions concerning why his Government, with an office in place for the specific purpose of exposing and condemning religious persecution, is doing s.f.a. about the ongoing butchery of Christians.

And when that happens, our federal Government will be in perfect lockstep with our mainstream Christian churches.

Trudeau will never officially admit that he’s a Muslim because he will loose too much non-Muslim support. It’s enough that the Muslims know he’s one of them.

I think you’re right Hyacinth, that tact is working well for Obama.

In the words of Paul Joseph Watson, “Proof positive, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder”

As long as Trudeau has the Educational System, the Judicial System and the MSM in his pocket, Trudeau can do what he wants. We live in dangerous times.

Only the most retarded Countries restrict religious freedoms. Trudeau will feel at home, once he has established Islam as the only none-religion permitted, (Islam is a political platform).

Our Prime Minister needs to be educated, in a manner that he can understand. Being stretched on the Rack may teach him some humility. He is, after all, leading us back to the Dark Ages and the New World Order.

Rot In Hell Trudeau.

Not liking this new format for commenting nor the site’s new layout at all (wonder if I can type with my eyes closed? Makes for hard proof reading though :D )

Anyway to answer your post, I disagree that Junior will announce it sooner rather than that of later. I would think it would be more advantageous that he and his caucus remain silent on his conversion, let people speculate, until an opportune time that he can spring it on Canadians, i.e.: after an announcement that changes have been made to the electoral system (in his favor) or perhaps an enacted policy that further reduces Canadians’ freedom of speech/personal rights but raises cheers from the left. One thing history teaches is that it is the preferred political practice to leave people in the dark and tell only on a need to know basis.

Egil,
I don’t know. I think the visible lack of Christianity/Judaism in our society/politics is what has gotten us to this precipice which we currently teeter on.

Sean penson, you must be one smart cookie. You know more than all the following believers. Einstein, Bacon,Newton, Kepler, Pasteur, kelvin, Faraday—whose work on electricity and magnetism revolutionized physics;

The left has tried before to obliterate religion, as if by ignoring it, it will be controlled and eventually go the way of the dinosaur. There has never been a more ridiculous and futile endeavour.
The left is always about subterfuge. Never ever, do they address the real problems. They spend 4 billion on the climate hoax, which they use as their scapegoat for all of the ills of the world. In reality the climate change obsession is merely a vehicle for their globalist agenda, taking up valuable time and money. No human suffering is alleviated.
And they say Conservatives are heartless!?

Ron Voss, what is that about? They can’t even hate all religions equally across the board. They detest the religion of Christians and Jews, pretty much ignore the existence of others, but put Islam on a pedestal, defending it as a religion of peace!?

Religion is the opiate of the masses, a sign of madness and contempt

Thus Sean giveth his religious belief, since this is the usual dogmatic statement of true believers in Soviet Socialism and its mass murders.

““Religion is the opiate of the masses…”
Who was it who said that, and does the author make it suspect?”

Karl Marx was known for writing “religion is the opium of the people” (which is usually translated as “religion is the opiate of the masses”). It was the late French sociologist Raymond Aron who argued that in post-war France Marxism was the opium of intellectuals. William A. Donohue argues that with a slight emendation, it can be proffered that atheism is today’s “opiate of the intellectuals.”

So from Sean’s post “Religion is the opiate of the masses, a sign of madness and contempt” one could glean that he is both a Marxist and an atheist at heart and probably university educated.

Add to your list:

Tarek Fatah: Has “Justin Trudeau in Secret Converted to Islam”? http://scaramouchee.blogspot.ca/2013/08/tarek-fatah-has-justin-trudeau-in.html

“The Liberal leader sat next to the Imam, raised his hands Islamic style and prayed in the front row of the mosque while Muslim women sat in the back rows as second-class citizens. Trudeau had no problem with this gender apartheid. He was later permitted to address the congregation.

No non-Muslim is permitted to participate in our ritual prayers unless he has taken the oath of Islam and declared that Muhammad is the last Prophet of God and that the worst sin is ‘shirk,’ the belief that Jesus is the son of God."

Understandable that one of Lenin’s “useful idiots” would quote Karl Marx (“Religion is the opiate of the masses”) while giving his own religion of atheism (humanism) a pass, that religion which is at the core of every totalitarian (be it communist /socialist/ fascist) regime, regimes that conservatively brutally murdered greater than 100 million innocent people in the 20th century! He must be so proud of his religion, “Godlessness is Religion”:
