Baltimore and beyond: America's real problem is prison culture

Gavin McInnesRebel Commentator

I fought with my left wing brother Miles about the real cause of the racially charged riots in Baltimore and across America.

The real issue isn't race.

It's prison culture.

America has a huge incarcerated population, and at this point, many poor blacks and whites are so acclimated to the twisted, arbitrary world of prison culture (and the legal system in general) that they've stopped trying or caring.

I would seriously vote for Ben Carson, he would fix this in no time. He grew up in Baltimore, and there ain’t no flies on him!

Why do all you social scientists dismiss biology? The problem is in themselves and NOT the stars.

Bill Elder — you forgot to add that blacks kill many times more blacks than whites kill blacks…

emotion versus facts..just ask how many people are in prison who were put there because of emotions

A huge problem made worse by leftist AfroAmerican “elitist leadership” opposition to the vocations that once offered hope and a chance at a decent living. At one time there were plenty of opportunities for young energetic black men to work off their frustrations by doing heavy manual labour on construction sites, assembling cars, making tires, or by joining the armed forces and after finishing up with a few terms soldiering, learning a military trade or getting more education. Now, labour requirements in all these areas are plummeting due to enhanced machinery productivity and higher quality, longer lasting products
Being prison guards and social workers in the ghetto are the ever expanding fields today.

The issue is that as an American sub-culture, modern black urban Americans have no real leaders or ennobling political leadership – no positive cultural roll models , outside of celebrity gangstas and opportunist exploitive politicians – this may explain the acceptance/proliferation of “prison culture” and hapless-loser ideology.

The other side of the coin is that politicians of all colors on the left are exploiting the dysfunction of the black American culture for political gain by perpetuating the loser-black victimology to ensure continuity of their political sinecure.

On the truth defeats faux social crisis front we have nation criminal justice statistics which implode the blacks-as-victims-of-cops narrative -
FACT: Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks commit around half of homicides in the United States.
FACT: Blacks commit eight times more crimes against whites than vice-versa.
FACT: Between 1999 and 2011, 2,151 caucasians died as a result of being shot by police compared to 1,130 blacks.
FACT: In 2013, black criminals carried out 38% of murders, compared to 31.1% for whites, despite the fact that there are five times more white people in the U.S.

Black people in the United States are more likely to be victims of violent confrontations with police officers than whites because they commit more violent crimes than whites per capita. Whites are more likely to be fatally shot than blacks.

So who you gonna believe? Facts or Al Sharpton?
