Bombardier wants Liberals to lift sanctions against Iran (so they can sell products to them)

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

158 Canadian soldiers died fighting Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan. Over 2,000 were wounded.

Our small country stepped up when called upon and we felt the consequences of being a nation at war. And the war on Islamic terror is still ongoing, either as a real physical war or as a war for the hearts and minds of the people in the Arab world. And with all that, it’s important to note that Iran is still one of the world’s largest state sponsors of terror. The US state department has said Iran’s support for terrorism remains undiminished.

That fact makes what Bombardier is trying to do now all the more reprehensible. The Canadian Aerospace giant and chronic corporate welfare junkie is trying to sell trains and jets to Iran. This is the same Iran that chants “death to America, death to Israel” and threatened to destroy the Israeli cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv.

To add insult to injury, now Bombardier wants a bailout from the Canadian taxpayer. They’ve gone, hat in hand, to Prime Minister Trudeau because giving bailouts to Bombardier is part of the Liberal party DNA.

And Bombardier wants to spend your taxpayer dollars jump starting the aviation sector of one of the greatest threats to western civilization. Who's their next customer? The Islamic State?

So true, Jack. Since Harper adopts kittens from the humane society, I wouldn’t doubt that particular headline is actually out there! I also wouldn’t put it past Liberals to believe it.
commented 2015-11-12 16:13:28 -0500
Michelle, liberal leftists and the moveable masses don’t get past the “headlines”. So if they read “Harper ate live kittens”, they are left with that impression, because they will never look deeper than that.

Sean Penson: People that think like you don’t get it. Harper was as close to the centre of the spectrum as a political leader of any party has ever been. The media made it sound like he was some far right fascist, but those who are capable of thinking for themselves know not to believe a word from the mainstream media when it comes to Harper, and instead evaluate him with actual FACTS. Justin Trudeau, meanwhile, has brought the Liberal party so far to the socialist left it’s surpassed the NDP.

“The acknowledgment that some people are better than us” What kind of statement is that? Acknowledge that some people are better than us at what?
commented 2015-11-12 15:48:03 -0500
Michelle H, all the left that come here lie. I am sure Sean is not in any way shape or form a card carrying Conservative.
commented 2015-11-12 15:46:55 -0500
Oh poor Justin. Give me a break. And for anyone to think the Iranians democratically chose their leader is drinking the Kool-Aid. In any case, once again, the left is throwing red herring. It is not about Iran’s internal politics. It is about their aims to obtain nuclear weapons. And of course, companies with an incestuous relationship with the Libranos expects pay back. Could you imagine a company in 1939 urging Canada to keep good relations with Germany in order to keep its contracts. The government would have taken the company and destroyed it like the USA did to Standard Oil.

And Sean, you can’t really believe the Liberals will move to the centre.

King Trudeau will do whatever his Imam tells him to. He is a very low level Puppet, in the eye’s of Islam. Wat a Wanka.
commented 2015-11-12 15:10:33 -0500
Michelle M, There is a way around that, and that’s by compromising, let the Liberals carry on as our Natural Governing Party and move much more to the centre. Embracing anything beyond centre-right MUST be abandoned. The acknowledgment that some people are better than us also helps.

Sean Penson: for some reason, I don’t think your claim of being a “card carrying member of the Conservative Party of Canada” is actually true. Poor Justin?! Really?! How about poor Harper?! During the entire time Harper was PM, whether it was with a minority or a majority government, the media and the far left were constantly at his throat. They overreacted to pretty much everything he said and did, spinning their stories to suit their Harper hating agenda, and downplayed the many great things he has done for Canada. Their methods were very effective, TOO effective, on the weak-minded. They unfortunately succeeded with their purpose of drumming up the worst rage and hatred ever known towards a politician in a Western country. When Harper was campaigning for this election, it got to the point where I was actually scared for his personal safety due to the mouth-frothing loathing the loony left directed towards him. The constant rhythmic of the media fueled the Harper hating movement and quickly transformed it into a case of mass hysteria, which clearly displayed the ugly and frightening characteristics of mob mentality. The far left mentality by itself is extremely dangerous, and the hateful statements they made about Harper proves that anyone who takes the leadership role for the Conservative Party of Canada is putting themselves into the line of fire, possibly leading to serious repercussions that no Liberal leader would ever have to endure. Liberals can afford to be cuddly and oblivious, Conservatives have no choice but to be resilient and vigilant.

Sean Penson: It is my democratic right of freedom of speech that allows me to voice my opinions about your illustrious leader, Emperor Justine! When the Canadian government signed the deal to sell military equipment to Saudi Arabia, here are some of the comments gleaned from several news stories on-line: "a) The whole deal just reeks of Harper/Conservative contempt for the Canadian people…. we’re too stupid to make the destinction between MPV’S and military hardware. Let me guess, in another place Harper would be bragging about all the money spent on these vehicles in support of the Canadian military.

b) It is appalling that the Harper government would send any sort miltary equipment to such a nasty regime as the Saudi government. This is the country that routinely beheads and flogs people, including minors; this is the country that pressures women to wear niqabs and whose general record on the rights of women is truly terrible. Why on earth does Mr Harper think it is OK to support such a regime and society with military supplies, but then he makes such a big deal about one woman making the personal choice to wear a niqab here? It makes no sense at all.

c) On the other hand, the sale of military material to the Saudis fits into a larger pattern of appalling behaviour by the Harper government at the international level.

d) Harper’s claim that he takes terrorism seriously is proven to be a BIG LIE. He’s selling weaponry to the biggest source of terrorism in the Middle East. There’s no way anyone with a brain can’t see through this BIG LIE. Even hiding behind the niqab can’t save him.

e) Don’t be surprised when you see pictures of ISIS driving these new armored vehicles that Stephen Harper has sold to Saudi Arabia.

f) That is who is bankrolling that murderous group in the middle east.

g) Stephen Harper is supporting terrorism in the middle east by having anything to do with selling weapons to that region.
Everyone is aware of the turmoil in that area of the world. Why would anyone even think it’s a good idea to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia.

g) Stephen Harper has lost his mind and needs to resign.

h) Were Canadians given any say in this matter? Did Harper consult Canadians to see how they felt about Canada selling armored vehicles to Saudi Arabia which has one of the worst human rights records on the planet and who has been accused of financially backing a terror group called ISIS ? Stephen Harper has a lot of explaining to do to the Canadian people.
So, Sean, no one on the left went ballistic in their personal attacks on Mr. Harper? Selling jets to Iran is in the same category as the military equipment to Saudi Arabia. Will those jets be armed with missiles to attack the coalition forces (sans Canada) who are fighting ISIS? So, if the Conservatives are pointing out that your knight in shining armour has sh’t on his boots, suck it up! Get over it! Move on! There will be a lot more of than in the coming months!

Junior will never have my respect because he was bought and paid for by the UN, and he is not qualified to be the PM of this country. He can pretend that he is the real leader all he wants, wait until he throws Canada to the dogs in December, while he bends over on the world stage for his UN buddies.

How much money was Bombardier able to funnel into the Liberal party in the election to have the ear of the PM this quickly? Watch for either a quick lifting of sanctions against Iran or the gift of the billion taxpayer dollars they are asking for.

Sean Penson, “The left had a grudging respect for Harper, and never once went as ballistic in their personal attacks as the far right is against poor Justin.”

Are you kidding? Do you have your head firm jammed somewhere? That you can say thing and mean it means you are wither completely blinded to the reality that surrounds you are you are lying. Which one is it? The left had no respect at all for Harper and the continuously went “ballistic” on Harper even if he didn’t do what they were accusing of having done (which was most of the time). What an unbelievably disingenuous statement (to put it politely).

Sean Penson The victim card already really poor justin. Give it a rest. Iran is state sponsored terror and you support it as does trudeau. So give it a rest. Victims are real you just refuse to accept the fact that your love affair with islam will never ever be accepted by millions of canadians, The soldiers murdered last year by muslims, THEY WERE VICTIMS, THE MEDIC MURDERED BY YOU POSTER BOY OMAR THE TERRORIST MUSLIM HE WAS A VICTIM. Nothing good will come from sucking up to iran, Neither will selling them airplanes paid for by canadian taxpayers, Liberals sucking up to quebec dumping billions into what is a failed company explain how this helps out the rest of canada you know the parts NOT IN ONT OR QUE

BTW – pink sheets are considered junk.

Oh and there goes Dunce Trudeau now – look at that closet homosexual walk.
commented 2015-11-12 07:55:24 -0500
LMFAO – Bombardier share price on the “pink sheet” is $1.05 US.

This company should be disbanded and sold, as more failed businesses are.

But wait, here comes Dunce Trudeau with our tax dollars to prop up this failed business that is full out lousy engineering and lousy management.

Ah the Canadian way – find something repulsive and keep hugging it no matter how much damage it causes.

Drew Wakariuk, as to hundreds of phoney stories comment? I don’t understand. As a card carrying member of the Conservative Party of Canada, I don’t know what the people of Canada see in Mr. Trudeau. But, if they lovingly elected him to government, I have no qualms about that; I just accept defeat, admit the better politician won, and move on. The 2011 campaign was so bitter, that it left a bad taint on both the winners and losers. Oh well. 2015 was an election in which a party was lovingly elected to office. Justin’s honeymoon will eventually end, and the Conservatives will be lucky to be back into office around 2023 or 2027. Until then, I personally wish the Liberal Party of Canada luck on governing this bright and sunny days ahead country of ours.

Drew Wakariuk, The left had a grudging respect for Harper, and never once went as ballistic in their personal attacks as the far right is against poor Justin. As to bowing down to Iran? No, I am not saying that. What should be done, is for full diplomatic relations to be restored, and to treat the Islamic Republic of Iran like any other nation-state. We shouldn’t interfere with their internal politics and policies, nor should they in ours. Their government is of the will of their people, whether we like it or not. The way how they treat certain peoples may be brutal or heinous in our eyes, but that is no reason for us to pass judgement. I find no problem with Canadians dealing with Iran; it all helps our economy in the long run.
commented 2015-11-12 01:27:51 -0500
Sean you do not see hundreds of phony stories of how the election was rigged do you? Like when Harper won.
commented 2015-11-12 01:27:12 -0500
Sean the left never got over Harper for one second , so spare us the drama. And we do not need to bow down to Iran like Obama did.

It is going to be a long 4 – 8 years

Canada will certainly lose her rep as a country that has stood its ground

Oh well, it is what the voters want

Now let’s see how much they like it
commented 2015-11-11 22:23:08 -0500
The Liberals won, the Conservatives lost. Admit it. Concede defeat. Get on with life. The next election is in 2019. Suck it up, and let the government govern. Restoration of relations is fully in line with the new government’s policies. This is an issue not worth fighting over.
