Creekstone Farms is the slaughterhouse in Kansas that Earls restaurants has decided to buy all of their beef from, banning any beef from Canadian ranchers. It’s a slap in the face to Canada, especially to Alberta, where Earls got its start.
Even worse was the excuse — Earls said that this foreign beef was “more humane” than Canadian beef. That’s just slander against Canadian ranchers. You have to pay an enormous amount of money to be “certified humane”. It’s a racket.
Then as a result of the backlash from Canadians, Earls CEO, Mohamed Jessa, said he would help Canadian ranchers live up to their foreign standards. But it was another deception. They still don’t have any Canadian suppliers.
Creekstone Farms is 100% halal. All their beef are killed according to sharia law — a Muslim slaughterer, Muslim prayers broadcast in the background, inspected by the local sharia halal authority.
Creekstone and Earls tried to play word games about it.
Now Creekstone’s announced it is now selling, at a premium price of course, something called non-GMO beef. Perfect for the hipster in your life.
Except there is no such thing as “GMO beef.” So there can't be "non-GMO" beef, either.
But the charlatans at Creekstone have found a new way to separate social justice warriors from their money.
Under Canadian consumer protection rules, if something normally doesn’t have GMO ingredients, you can’t advertise yours as “non-GMO.” You can’t trick anyone.
Creekstone doesn’t follow that law. Talk about not living up to standards! WATCH what happened when I brought their fraud to their attention…
