Buy low, sell lies: After Soros-funded "green" lobbying drove coal share prices down, he bought them up cheap

Rebel Staff

There's a reason Geoge Soros is a billionaire and we aren't.

Coal is being unfairly demonized throughout the West by activists and politicians.

(It's the reason Ontario's energy prices are rising all the time.)

Billionaire George Soros has financed this and other "green" "progressive" causes.

So why did he just invest millions in coal?

Well, if Soros had bought these shares with George W. Bush was president, they would have cost around $90 each.

But after six years of Obama's anti-coal policies -- and Soros-funded anti-coal activism --those shares plunged to about a dollar a piece. What a bargain!

It makes you wonder:

How many "environmentalists" are using "green" activism as a tool to drive down energy industry prices so they can "buy low, sell high" too?

Environmental hypocrites indeed Ezra. It is very easy for people to profit off of other people’s ignorance. Suzuki is an example. And there is plenty of ignorance in Alberta. Look at who won the provincial election. Oh, and giving the CBC one billion dollars every year. Where is the intelligence in that? This environmental movement is being manufactured by by a few people for profit and countries to help their economic agendas. And they are using societies most ignorant to get this done. KILL THE CBC! KILL THE CBC!

Keep in mind that "hedge is Soros’ middle name so it would be logical for his organization and others to have sold short at the top back at the $90 a share range. He could be covering a short by buying stock or leaving a hedge position now and even be in shape to buy 90 times more stock with his winnings plus putting in massive new investment. Selling his stock in other coal companies could be part of a strategy to “put all of his eggs in one basket” and smooth the way for a company takeover.
Europe and China will certainly buy all the coal the US can ship to them.
Crony capitalism, there is no life like it.

Funny I was thinking the same thing. Albertas one of the last places on earth that is naturally independent. Like someone’s trying to oppress us into giving it to them for whatever we can get. Not for sale

Shocking! When I say that, I mean he has actually out-arroganced the left. Imagine the thoughts in Soro’s mind . . . Hey Lefty’s, you’re so stupid and arrogant, that after I use to you to drive down prices and then buy in, you’re arrogance will keep you quiet!! LOL!!!! He’s used their arrogance as a weapon against them. If it wasn’t all so harmful to our society, I’d be shaking his hand vigorously!!

The same thing is happening here in Canada only instead of a private individual doing it , it’s a political party or two trying a similar thing: bankrupt the oil and gas companies then the gov can come in for 10 cents on the dollar and own the oil and gas corporations.

Nothing new here. The so called “Environmental” movement has always been more about making money for the Gores, Suzukis of the world than actual enviromentalism.

Charles White said, Mr. Levant verbalized the thoughts I have had throughout the past several years…“Who is funding the environmentalists and why?”"

Whaaaaaaat? I thought the environmentalist protesters only protested out of the goodness of their pure and righteous hearts!?! Certainly they don’t accept any money to do such an holy task as oppose the big bad mean old Harper and his big bad mean environmental policies! That wouldn’t be right for the purest of hearts (the environmentalist protesters) on our “capitalist destroyed” planet to do. :)

Soros is a stock trader at his core. He sees the writing on the wall – he knows the anti fossil fuel green dream is just that … a dream. He knows coal will make a comeback as the population continues to rise, our energy needs continue to rise, and the solar/windmill scam fully implodes and reveals itself to be the ponzi scheme that it is. He’s a scumbag banker manipulating markets in plain view. And getting away with it.

Though out Ontario like a fungus these ugly wind mills are every where. The little airport in Dunville was closed to provide space for these ugly wind mills our museum ( RCAF 6 ) can not fly our planes the shy diving club had to move. We are forced to pay the highest electric costs in North America thanks to the liberal Wynne government these socialists are crazy and we have to get rid of them they are bankrupting us.

Mr. Levant verbalized the thoughts I have had throughout the past several years…“Who is funding the environmentalists and why?” Anyone who thinks Hewlitts, Rockefellers, et al are any different, I will sell the Dunvegan Bridge to them. Then there are the foreign competitors to Canadian resources such as Russia, Saudi Arabia, and…yes…the U.S.A. One just has to look at the great Green-ocrit saint of the regressive left, and CBC affirmative action hire, David Suzuki. How does one become a multimillionaire as an average university prof and front man for a CBC show? Investments in the energy sector or bank rolled by the likes of Rockefellers.

Addendum to Fraser’s post: we were in the Shetlands and there was a major protest movement against an EU windmill farm approved by the Scottish Parliament that was going to take up 25% of the main island’s beauty in order to ship energy to Germany, not even Britain.

In my life I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to the Kingdom of UK. many times. One of the lovelies provinces is Devon along the coast you could see the English Channel with the seas sparkling in the sun shine. BUT NOW all alone the coast are these bloody wind mills that spoil the views never again will people gaze at the moon across the Channel and not see it scared by these windmills. Better hope I never win a LOTTO MAX jackpot because if I do I`d blow them up.

Soros financed north American protests like “occupy wallstreet” and is barry’s closest “money friend”. Soros probably wrote a few checks to the editors of some of the MSM too to get his agenda supported.

So now that the environment is saved and barry’s EPA has destroyed the coal industry, in comes Soros to buy coal up for a song.

And this is what communist dictators in places like Africa and Venezuela do for a living – while communist dictators’ countries get destroyed economically. Here’s to hoping Soros and barry keel over from a heart attack very soon. The world would be a better place without these fkg reprobates.

@ Mark – correction – NOT CAPITALISTS – criminals. This sort of thing is a form fraud at the very least. You and I would go to jail for attempting it at a smaller level.
