Canada's hypocritical Left embraces same "American-style" politics it claims to hate

As a Canadian election revs up, brace yourself for more "American-style" campaigning and fundraising.

Leftists are always warning that "Koch Brothers"-style fundraising will destroy Canada.

Yet the Media Party is celebrating the launch of "GreenPAC," an allegedly non-partisan lobby group with a clearly liberal-friendly agenda.

At the same time, Conservative Voice -- a new "right-wing" political action group -- is being described in the press as "mysterious" and vaguely sinister.

Watch for the media and Canada's left to attack this group relentlessly while ignoring more troubling goings-on inside left-wing PACs, which are better funded and more powerful.

Does CSIS have the political independence to find out where the money funding these lobby grous comes from? Interfering or steering other countries political elections is a well-known American abuse. Benghazi is just a small example of how far Americans are prepared to go to interfere in election outcomes so CSIS should be extra diligent now that the first shots have been fired at the Conservatives from CBC allies! American money has already caused too much economic security damage, filtering American influence through self-serving environmental and Aboriginal groups. As the election ramps up we know more American money will be involved, feeding the anti-Harper attack ads and protest groups with all the negative attacks unlikely ever seen before in canada and what bigger taxpayer funded anti-Harper media voice is there than the CBC? Will CSIS keep the political playing field level?

So once again when the left does it, it is innovative and creative, but when the conservatives do it, it is mysterious, corrupt and American style. Or so says the defenders of our freedom, the Canadian media.

Didn’t Harper change it in 2007 , so that no one could contribute more than $1100 to any party. Nice thought but way too easy to get around. There has to be a way to stop Unions, and other groups( at least partially funded by foreign money) from messing this up. If we don’t find a way there will be no such thing as a fair election . Ya ,Charlie Angus can talk!

So what are we gonna do ?

This is not surprising. The Left has always played the dirty politics. Honesty is a scare commodity in politics in general, but is even more scarce in the left wing parties, yet they never seem to see their hypocrisy.

One thing is clear. The fact that they are pulling out all the stops and going to this extent to stop the Conservative just reenforces that they know Harper just might win another majority. It really is a concession.

Any organization that is not a political party, running candidates in an election, should not be eligible for tax exempt dues or donations. If they want to spend money that is tax paid and voluntary, then that is fine with me: I just don’t want to subsidize their preferences or actions!
