Canada’s role in international coalition: Social workers or military allies?

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

We’ve all been waiting for some clarity from the Trudeau government about what Canada’s position will be on fighting ISIS.

Trudeau was asked again Friday but he’s not giving anything away other than saying we’ll find out next week.

I’ve already shared some of my concerns about our Defense Minister and so has Ezra.

Since the Liberals aren’t talking much, others are speculating and it’s becoming apparent that this government looks at ISIS more as a social science experiment rather than a military matter.

They think ISIS is an organized crime gang with a kind of “religious veneer”, as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Defense Minister said.

That’s scary because, as any military strategist knows, you can’t defeat your enemy if you can’t even name them.

Trudeau is already abandoning our allies - and the war on terror

Agree with you 100% Brian! It’ll be interesting to see what our PM will say next week. I think we can all predict the outcome, especially when they don’t want to face the facts.

@ Justin’s Diary. I love all your comments as well! My family and friends have talked about your comments when discussing our PM, and we always have a good laugh when we do. I always look for yours and a few others commentors on here. Thank you, and keep doing what you’re doing! Would you consider making a Notley’s Diary?? ☺

You make me laugh every time. Don’t change a thing from my perspective. You should have lots of material from our dear leader and other rising stars like Sajjan and Dion.

Sean Penson wishes: “Weapons should be taken away from the armed services,” Be careful what you wish for, you might get it when the Liebranos start housing muslims on DND bases across the country!

Ah, ah, ah, err, can’t offend the incoming muslim voter/jihadi base!

@ Sean Penson sure…it’s not like we kicked the Huns ass…twice. when I was stationed in Europe, the good people of many countries that remembered our contribution, would thank me personally.
I am happy to take that for the home team.

If the leader of the coalition-Obama- won’t define the enemy, it only makes sense that Obama-light won’t as well. I sometimes wonder if the Democrat backroom boys who came north to help Justin win the elections stuck around to help him craft his policies. It kinda fits.

Dear Rebels;
Everyone agrees with me (except Lloyd, my worthy nemesis) that dropping precision-guided bombs onto the poor defenceless Islamic Savage friends of my Muslim brothers from the safety of my big CF-18s just doesn’t seem fair. Especially when these poor, excluded and misunderstood fighters have little or no anti-aircraft capability. So, to even things up, as I pull out (relax Gerald, I’m talking about my CF-18s) I’m considering Canadian boots on the ground. I’ll ask Harjit to start small, maybe about 500 to 1,000 soldiers and put them in harms way. That should shut my critics up. Sure, there may be some unfortunate outcomes, some Canadians may get hurt, but the important thing is that people will think I’m on board in the war on workplace violence and B.O. will smile on me again.
Training is always a good idea (right Lloyd?), so I’ll double my trainers to about 150. Something similar worked out so well for B.O. He only had to spend umpteen gigillian dollars to train 500 Iraqis to be the best fighters in the world, and afterwards only 495 of them went off to join the Islamic Savages.
This is why I’m so proud of Marie-Claude Bibeau, my Minister of International Development when she said “We really want to announce a holistic approach [in Canada’s expanded military mission against Islamic State]”. A holistic approach, really? LMAO. That’ll keep those pesky right-wingers busy scratching their old heads as they try to figure out what that means.

Newspeak , terrorist=criminal, war=peace, thought police=trend, sardaji=listen to the real boss , is Orwell writing the script.?

Canada’s newest friends, Iran and Russia yesterday commenced a massive offensive displacing and killing tens of thousands Syrian civilians. Under Trudeau, Canada sits on the fence and stands for nothing.

I wish someone in a media scrum one day would ask JT if he could answer a question without using “ahs” or umm’s.

It’s not Canada’s way to be a military force. We are a peaceful and fun loving country, where every one loves us!

Justin’s Diary, a book compilation, sold here at the at rebel store. Over Trudeau’s reign of idiocy, there will be no lack of material. It would be a great way to document all the mayhem. Publish one for every year, until his ticket expires in 4..
A great read while sitting on the ……er, by the fire. I bet it would be popular. Above all don’t change a thing, we love you just the way you are.

Justin’s Diary-absolutely love your posts. Always looking for them and I’m learning a lot. Very insightful. I’d love to see a website with the same name. Maybe all of Canada would be able to enjoy it.

JUSTIN’S DIARY, I look forward everyday to your post. It gives me a little bit of joy to read and pretend that the ‘Diary’ is actually real and written by the dope we are all stuck with. I would go out on a limb and bet that if anyone of us could get our hands on the dopes diary (if one does exist, which I highly doubt) we would find that the one you write makes more sense. If that makes any sense.
My point I guess, is that as far as I am concerned I find no fault with your post as ’JUSTIN’S DIARY’, I read it and it makes me laugh, it brightens an otherwise depressing view of what we in Canada are facing – that is what is important.
So PLEASE keep on writing.
Your friend
Marty

@justins Diary
I would hope you are not feeling pressured to come on here every day with a juicy salacious account, relax and have fun with this.
I’ll bet some people here Thot that my come back at you was a real dumb ritewing red necks reply,if I have to write “ha ha” or " satire" it takes the pointy out of it.
People most of us here don’t care if you have only grade two,take your time ,reduce the amount of words ,and make a point.
Some of the trolls will come on here and point out the speck of dust in your spelling or punctuation ,that’s a lefty flaw, It’s the content, it’s the beef.
There are a lot of hard working people that live in trailers and trailer courts,a lot of retired seniors have sold there properties and find that life style comfortable
Justin in due time when this thread is forgotten ,I will attack you again for your stupid policies.
Just don’t quit on us.

Dear Rebels;
I just want to take an additional moment to thank so many of you for your kind and encouraging responses to some of my diary entries. It lifts my own spirits when I learn that I’ve perhaps brought a chuckle or two into someone’s day. Some of you have even suggested that this should go further; such as newspaper or even a blog like The Megaphone. That won’t happen. These other folks are real writers, or they are aspiring writers honing their skills. I’m just an old retired factory rat, with poor grammar skills and sentence structure, trying to keep a grip on my sense of humour during these dark times.
Fondest regards to all.
Dear Diary;
My big news is that, while I’ve been off saving Alberta, Gerald (some say Gerald’s my advisor) has hired Dan Gardener to be my advisor. Dan once had something to do with the Ottawa Citizen (ha-ha, no, not me, the newspaper) and I think he writes books. Gerald says he’ll help me to make better decisions, but he won’t actually be working in the office. Gerald says that I’ve to pay him so that we’ll have his phone number and we can call him now and again for advice. Dan says that it’s good to be full of self-awareness. No problem there, I often hear Gerald tell people that I’m full of it.
