"383 piggies at the trough": Meet the Canadians at the Paris Climate Conference (on your dime)

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

There are 383 Canadian delegates at the Paris Climate Conference (COP21). That’s more than Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Combined.

Who are these 383 people?

Let’s start with the most important people on the trip:

The official photographers, of course.

And the "communications directors" and "communications counsellors" -- for the Liberals and the opposition, too.

It's weird enough that Alberta's Rachel Notley's there; after all, provincial premiers can't sign international treaties.

But what about the mayors of Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto -- and Huron-Kinloss, population 7,000?

I run the numbers to try to get an idea how much money all this is costing you and me.

Business class tickets start at $9000 each. The Nunavut delegation is probably spending close to a hundred grand in airfare alone.

Then there are the hotels, food, limos...

But is there something worse than politicians burning up your money to go to Paris? Maybe.

Gregor Robertson, the mayor of Vancouver is going. But he says don’t worry, taxpayers aren’t paying the bill. The C40 Climate Leadership Group is.

Who? Wait until you find out...

Rachel Notley's Alberta NDP just announced a $3 billion a year carbon tax.

Next on the agenda for Canada, stopping the annual dangerous practice of an unlicensed and difficult to track aircraft that has plagued the planet for over a century. Trudeau has been quoted as saying, “Santa Claus is an irresponsible and dangerous person, putting the whole world at risk by not complying with aviation regulations that protect everyone. Like man made climate change, this issue is our top priority”. Officials and those in the inner circle of the Liberal Party applauded this bold move by the PM, and vowed their total support. Comments from the official opposition Conservatives were limited to snickers and tear filled belly laughs. Clearly the Conservatives do not take these issue seriously.

IF there is some agreement in Paris, the few million spent on getting these piggies to market, will have been worth it.
If there is no action on climate change it will cost trillions in the long run.

and where is Rona Ambrose?
We were told she was also going to be in Paris but there’s a complete lockdown on news of her being there.
Where is Rebel Media when you need it to cover what MSM won’t?
And why was there no indignation from Ezra when Harper spent $1.23 million of taxpayers’ money on transporting 2 (or 3?!) armoured vehicles to India for his brief business/sightseeing trip there in 2013?

No one beats Canada for having very dedicated tax spending parasites that are willing to spend the public’s money on their favorite causes.

True, KEN CLEMENTS. And no one beats Canada for having a dull, stupid, chickenshit public that allows the piggery to continue.

I would imagine that they should be worried about their own carbon foot print …oh I see they only are concerned about the taxpayers footprint ..they certainly won’t tax themselves and pay for their own travels . #83 delegates ….disgraceful.

If one books ahead, the flight from Iqualuit to Paris is $3500 return.

We have some of the finest trough feeding leftists in the entire world. No one beats Canada for having very dedicated tax spending parasites that are willing to spend the public’s money on their favorite causes. And what is the bonus Canadians get once these little leftist piggies are back at their jobs? We get carbon taxes and a whole range of “green” initiatives that will drain your pocket just as fast as the politicians implementing them can. Welcome to “change”.

Peter Babich – There is 1 Conservative, Mr. Edward Daniel Fast MP, Conservative Party.
They have 42 delegates from the RCMP to make sure he doesn’t start any trouble though.

I wonder if 383 people would have gone
if the meeting was in Romania. ha ha ha

This is why I really like The Rebel and Ezra’s reporting. This one is a classic!
commented 2015-12-07 12:14:59 -0500
Are there any Conservatives on that list? Where is the opposition leader, Rona Ambrose?
commented 2015-12-07 09:14:19 -0500
Does anyone also see that we did get a coalition government, which the Liberal party bought and paid for, but was not wanted by the voters? It seem the Liberals are more greedy than ever, they bought them all with our cash. This dictator needs to be booted out of office!
commented 2015-12-07 08:58:29 -0500 And this is what they all believe. When the great “unmuzzling” of the scientists finally occurred after the election of our saviour (and king of the selfie), this is what the government of Canada can finally tout as the new religion. With certainty, the Liberals can blather to the masses in order to condition those that have yet to be indoctrinated into the pay for your sins camp. One only has to read the government literature from a year ago, or even months ago, to discover the shift from pragmatism to sensationalism on the topic. But hey, 97% is a pretty big number.

Had PM Harper done this it would have been the scandal of the century according to the media and the hostile uncivilized self centered opposition. The biased and partisan Liberal party of Canada media is really showing their true colours by not reporting this and not criticizing it. The unmitigated gall of Trudeau and the Liberals in absolutely stunning. The entitlement and waste is incredible. If you listen to the Liberals propaganda radio, the CBC, it is party central there. They are always laughing it up and having a great time joking and carrying on with nonsensical programs and biased partisan reporting. All on the taxpayers dime. And this is just an extension of Trudeau and the Liberals who seem to think they are upper class aristocrats . Trudeau must think he is a descendant of a King of France with his exorbitant lifestyle and spending while us peasants suffer and slave away to support it all. It is becoming apparent that we may soon need something akin to the French revolution to oust these traitorous scoundrels.

When I read about this, it makes my blood boil. It is obscene to see the gargantuan waste of our tax money to this idiocy for a cause that has absolutely no basis in science whatsoever. Wake up people!!!
commented 2015-12-06 22:59:35 -0500
Paul, we need a psychological assessment of Canadians that voted for this ass pick. The young people we can forgive given they have likely been indoctrinated.
commented 2015-12-06 22:54:39 -0500
Piggies at the trough? C’mon Ezra, enough with the euphemisms. These are fully matured hogs. We need a taxpayer revolt.
commented 2015-12-06 22:09:07 -0500
So why isn’t this the lead story on CBC,CTV and Global
commented 2015-12-06 19:37:59 -0500
Interesting list Hilary but there seems to be some names left off. Most on the list appear to be politicians or staff but where are the newly unmuzzled scientists? And I don’t see the NGOs who just hit the jackpot and have been put on the payroll. Let’s not fool ourselves that we aren’t going to pay (and pay) for their prescience. In addition, it doesn’t include the kids, Sophie or the nanny who, even if they aren’t delegates are on our tab. The children have the visa card.

Sponsoring 283 for a fun fest is nit shit to what was pledged by JT.
commented 2015-12-06 18:14:46 -0500
383 – another palindrome. What’s going on?

Sean Penson you have once again demonstrated your seemingly unending reserve of of ignorance and stupidity. You do however provide some level of entertainment. More disturbingly though is you have the vote . It doesn’t matter who you vote for. But there should be some level of intelligence or rationale behind that vote. However to date you not demonstrated that this is the case.

Ban International trips. Use Skype. There. That was simple. If you must go, do it once a year, and meet at the north pole so its not about vacationing in Paris, but about business. Simple.
commented 2015-12-06 15:41:59 -0500
LoL. The Liberals never had a study or conference or gala that they couldn’t over spend on and invite all their cronies too , while being Hypocritical while smiling ear to ear while pointing a finger at someone else.
They have spent more money on jet fuel and paper than carter has pills but want us to foot the bill and blame us for climate change or better known as weather.
IF they where serious about Democracy they would introduce a bill about Impeachment. That way we could kick them out without having to wait. Its not fair that they can call an early election, but we can’t. Give it 6 months and the stink will be bad enough they would lose if it came to a vote again.

We need a tea party movement in canada. I know that since confederation only riel rebelled in canada but let us look back in our history there was dissent in the upper and lower canada. Revolt and rebellion is a canadian thing we need to stand up and boot these communists from power we cannot trust any politcian have any lowered taxes decreased government or increased freedom?
commented 2015-12-06 12:42:19 -0500
This climate change BS has my head shaking sooo much, I feel like a bobble head. What country could benefit the most from global warming. . . IT’S CANADA!!! Fuck the tundra, lets farm it. Lets open up the northwest shipping passage. Create jobs for the northern communities. If I hear one GW Activist complain about winter, cold weather and snowy blizzards, i’m going to tell them to “shut the fuck up, your releasing too much CO2 and you might melt your iceberg of a brain to mush”.
commented 2015-12-06 12:39:30 -0500
Sounds so very much like how the communist elite of the Soviet Union lived compared to the peasants who were paying the bills!
commented 2015-12-06 10:38:28 -0500
383 people from all over the world getting a free party in exotic locations every year? Do they have an interest in clinging on to the concept of global warming, I wonder?
commented 2015-12-06 10:38:14 -0500
Sean – I can see your head on a stick now, or worse tossed to the pigs. You cheer your own demise!
