Carbon tax: Alberta NDP “seem to be making it up as they go”

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Amber Ruddy, the Alberta Director of the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses, tells me that the timing of the NDP's carbon tax couldn't be worse.

Ruddy says the vast majority of her membership are calling on Rachel Notley to reconsider bringing in this tax until the economy recovers.

What's worse is that all these months after the election, no one knows exactly what form this tax will take.

How do Alberta small businesses feel about the proposed carbon tax?
Four in five business owners do not believe the plan will actually help to reduce carbon emissions.
79 per cent said it will mean higher input and operating costs for their business.
Sixty-seven percent feared it will mean consumers would have less disposable income to spend in their business.
A third fear it will make their business less competitive compared to businesses in other jurisdictions.

The Rebel should ask the Notley Crew how they can justify imposing a Carbon Tax, when it has been proven beyond all doubt that man made Carbon Emissions have no effect on Global Warming…. ….There are a million more vids on the Tube if you do not believe this one.

Paying more for everything is away of attacking and destroying wealth and prosperity.

paying more for everything helps with what, Lining notleys NDP pockets is all. How is paying more for food helping anything, how is paying more for clothing helping , paying more to heat your home what does that help, More at the pump, more for tools, more cost on everything. Be super glad to kick these losers to the curb.

Carbon tax will increase the price of everything we consume. The only way to minimize it is to stop consuming and put the economy in a downward spiral. I already have. I used to get a new car every 2-4 years but I bought my TDI Jetta off my lease and now have no car payment. Sold my big house with pool etc and now rent for about what my property taxes used to be.
I hope the economy tanks and burys the left wing gov’ts now running Canada. If you’re mad enough austerity measures feel great.

The so called Carbon tax is an open shakedown of the consumer – no provable evidence it will accomplish its intended purpose and no solid factual evidence it is even needed

That aside, carbon tax is a tax increase ON EVERYTHING that goes to market by mechanized means or which is produced by energy consumption – Stalin Moa and Hitler only dreamed of running a tax con this big.

The Notley crew is full of 23 year old pot smokers that go crazy about Sex week at UofC. Do you really think they know anything about anything?
