Celebrate women but not International Women's Day

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

We should celebrate women but not the socialist holiday known as International Women's Day - Brian explains his position on this and the message we should be sending girls.

Also, answering the cellphone in the bathroom - don't do it.
Mark Tapson joins Brian to explain that many Americans will roll their eyes at his insulting them but will be concerned about his strange attitude to refugee security screening and terrorism. Conservative MP Blaine Calkins calls in to say why the Liberals are wrong to fundraise off of Trudeau's trip to Washington.

Re: Liberal and their “fundraiser” dinner.

We all know the Liberals have no morals or ethic except that the end justifies the means, but I also do not have any “faith” in the Ethics Commissioner.

Mary Elizabeth Dawson, the current Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner, may very well be non-biased and non-partisan, but I have little faith in the Federal government civil servants since so many of them are Liberals and most are not shy of being partisan.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Unless there is an international men’s day celebrated as well, it suggests women deserve some kind of special treatment as compensation for just being born a woman. You’d think we just got the vote, were allowed to run for President or drive cars for crying out loud. As Valeriy points out, gender is not an achievement. I can’t believe that the progs haven’t demanded an international day for each of the six(?) genders.

Oh please! As a woman I wouldn’t be where I am now in life if it were not for “Him” Jesus Christ, and for all the great family men in my life. As a mother raising boys, I am tired of them being oppressed by all this leftist woman victimization. My boys would be the first to tell you how pushy and bully like the girls are becoming in school. My ten year old son was told just recently by a couple of girls that he is stupid and won’t ever get educated. This will be the second time this year I’ll have to call them out on it and have the principal deal with these snotty little entitled brats!

@ Deborah Graupner
great statement. I will apply feminist logic to it in an attempt to prove the inconsistency of their (the left) logic. I believe it is fair to assume that feminists occupy the leftist realm of the political spectrum.

if you deserve to be treated like a queen and you are not, then you are a victim.
since feminists believe that all things are controlled by "The Patriarchy’, then the status of women as victims has been granted to you by the fore mentioned institution.
therefore women ,as the victim, women must be grateful to the Patriarchy for bestowing the status of victimhood upon them. I believe a little compensation is in order for the pontificating in your favor and that compensation should arrive in the form of a day for mass man-spreading.

but I digress…

The left love their victims, and what better way to keep the victimhood going, than to instill lies into young minds, that they deserve to be treated like queens based on gender alone. I’m a woman, and I detest international women’s day. This is just the gay pride version of victims. I for one am not a victim, but I was blessed by God to be a woman, and all that entails. I’m not going to let the victim makers control who I am with their lies and deceptions.

Dear Diary;
Calling myself a feminist really worked out well for me to get the bimbo votes (eyes on your own work there Donald). It’s been great, even although it’s been young girls who have been throwing themselves at me I’m still always willing to take one for the team. But now, that little lark may be coming back to bite me. The Centre for Policy Alternatives (who I owe big time for all their pre-election anti-Stevie propaganda) have come out saying that, on average, Canadian non-men only earn about three quarters what men get paid.
Being a highly educated student of philosophy, I kinda recall some grumpy old white guy’s quotation about “lies, damned lies, and statistics”, and of course, by law, there is no pay inequity allowed in Canada, so it’s all left-wing fun with numbers because of the types of jobs that more non-men than men tend to gravitate towards. Back in the day, I tried teaching math instead of being the part-time substitute drama coach, so eventually I picked up on this when Gerald was explaining it to me.
But this is no time to let stubborn facts sully my famous feminist persona while all my zombies are soaking up this nonsense. They’re going to think it’s actually true and then they’ll expect me to do something about it. I’d better come up with one of Lloyd’s patented diversions, and quick. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Of course women will always recant that they are paid a lower salary for the same job. Me thinks not, particularly in Canada. Actually I see more and more women in positions of power, which is scary, considering Merkel.

I am really REALLY freaked out of attention to “International women’s day” western media pay attention to this year. I used to live in USSR where it was a national holiday and I highly disliked it all my life (because gender is not an achievement or an event to celebrate). Just this year I noticed that both Canada and US have Internet campaign celebrating it. I don’t know what to think about it.

In Canada, women already have superior privileges to men: child custody, “affirmative” action, unchecked “victim card” privilege in debates.
