“What a coward” -- While China’s foreign minister trashed Canada, Dion silently “wished his mummy was there”

Rebel Staff

The Communist Party of China represents real China as poorly as the Communist Party of the Soviet Union represented real Russians. It doesn’t represent them. It oppresses them.

China’s foreign minister Wang Yi came to town, for meetings with Trudeau and Stephane Dion, the foreign minister. And they had a press conference.

Canadian reporters agreed on a joint question — and when Wang Li heard it, it lost his cool.

He attacked Canada’s free press and our right to ask questions of powerful people.

But look at Stephane Dion. Mr. Human Rights himself. Just standing there, meekly, blinking. Wishing his mummy was there. Didn’t say a word in defence of free speech or a free press.

Hey, do you miss Stephen Harper yet?

Dion understands English, he’s just too lazy, or doesn’t think it’s important to speak it properly.

Dion doesn’t understand English. He’s so inept, but what do we expect from this throwback that the people rejected.

Dion understands english totally you moron. Speak a little french for me there Debby ok?

Another embarrassing example of how the Liberal government can’t defend Canadian values, even on our own soil. Dion stood there like the idiot he is and did nothing. Trudeau will soon be bending over to try and ink some deal that will benefit China and China only. I hope the dumb ass people of this county who voted for this imbecile are starting see what they did was a huge and costly mistake.

KEN HANSON said: “I can’t wait until Trump wins the presidency and we get to watch as the circus tries to deal with him. I have a feeling we will be told in no uncertain terms to boot out our socialist government or become mexico north.”

Don’t count on it. Americans have been known to tolerate dictatorial regimes provided they do not provide a direct threat to America. The U.S. is not exactly enamored enough of Canadians to want to go to war over removing our EL BOW, who I’m sure will concoct some method of sucking up to the Americans to preserve his own hide!
commented 2016-06-05 15:08:05 -0400
Mr. “Green Shaft” is way, way out of his league. Wang Li’s meltdown is truly indicative of most tyrannical regimes. Let’s not forget that EL BOW has displayed some of that elitist arrogance as well. Can hardly wait when the Liebrano regime treats our fawning media in a similar fashion! Perhaps then the honeymoon will be over and divorce papers will be filed!

I agree Dion doesn’t know what to do, so he does nothing. He did look rather lost. The question was asked of him, and he had a responsibility to deal with it. Not a good look letting China’s foreign minister get there first and use the time to chastise a Canadian.
Deborah, I have to disagree with you about Dion’s grasp of the English language. He understands it perfectly well, he just does not speak it well. Most anglophone politicians who have had to learn french to be in the federal government do a better job with their second language than Dion does with his second language. Maybe he doesn’t apply himself.

Justin’s starry eyed gushing, moment of pure projection saying Harper “must be dreaming about being a dictator than can do every thing he wanted” or something, was a look into what he really aspires to.

“starry-eyed”

adj
given to naive wishes, judgments, etc; full of unsophisticated optimism; gullible Fast forward to today and we see the Tiny Tyrant, wearing his daddy’s oversized shoes. Stomping across the gallery with his wings flapping, honking like a goose. Clearly frustrated that it was taking too long to implement HIS version of a “Basic Dictatorship”. The contrast between the Starry Eyed Dreamer we were sold and the reality of the Temper Toddler in Chief is growing. No wonder they want complete control over all forms of social media. They are gonna need it to cover for their own brand of “corrupt, nepotistic, fascist, party”. As for Dion? Your not going to see anyone but party apparatchiks appointed to positions in our Brave New Basic Dictatorship. Contrast Dion’s pathetic lack of intestinal fortitude with how Harper dealt with Putin at the G20. “I guess I’ll shake your hand but I have only one thing to say to you: You need to get out of Ukraine”. Short sweet and to the point.

We saw what a coward looks like when we saw this happen.

Colour him yellow to the core.

I would rather spit on Dion’s shadow than acknowledge his presence in a room.

Which makes him fit in very nicely with lieberals.

Stephane Dion is a fitting representative of this Liberal government: Inept, limp and completely embarrassing.

China has more to lose than we do by queering a trade deal with stupid imperialist commentary from negotiators – but we have a mouse in the diplomatic dept where we need a lion.

Why would Dion take the Chinese foreign minister to task when, like Trudeau, he likes China’s basic dictatorship?

If China is such a paradise, why do thousands of Chinese people still stampede to Canada every year?
commented 2016-06-04 01:10:07 -0400
Mary Auld saw this correctly is all I can say. This man never complimented Harper…..for a reason!! He wasn’t going to bullied by them. CBC is all over this trying to save J.T.’s “face”. I wonder if Trudeau is regretting openly complimenting the Chinese way of running their country? What I want to say to Justin …..yeah right….. you naive juvenile…..you and Dion got a dressing down, indirectly, by a foreign representative on OUR turf. Pitiful.
commented 2016-06-04 00:12:09 -0400
Watched it on TV tonight and felt so ashamed to be Canadian…this man needs to resign NOW!! He is a total disgrace, allowing this little Chinese shit to insult him, and our country, like that. NO guts at all and our media, cowards that THEY are, just accepted it and shut up instead of shouting this little sod down…..next, enters our illustrious ‘leader’ (ha), sitting there on his wee chair looking like he had just had a dressing down from the headmaster……DISGUSTING! I was cringing watching it, felt embarrassed and ashamed by both of them.

“Dummy Dion needed another “do-over”. Just like his infamous CTV interview, he “didn’t understand the question” and requested “Can we start again?”.”

While I wouldn’t call him a dummy, I’m not so sure of his command of the English language.
commented 2016-06-03 22:41:57 -0400
That explains it all Trudeau thinks he is in China.
Do you see the woman smile when he said that about the admiration for China.Must be a CBC reporter.Imagine Mr Harper saying that,They would have nailed him to a cross,
Dion is useless total waist of tax money.
commented 2016-06-03 21:35:36 -0400
I think Harper figured out there’s no way out of this whirlpool. The global financial bubble is about to burst, and white Christian men are to be decimated of any rights. I’d be surprised if he’s still in the country. He looked in a hurry to leave.

commented 2016-06-03 19:00:07 -0400
Stephen was probably trying to process the question, similar to the 2008 election. You could tell Wang Yi has a full grasp of English and had the question processed.

For Wang’s question about whether or not the reporter had travelled in China, I would ask the same of Dion and Baby Doc. I have, but in Xin Xiang, Tibet and Hong Kong. None of those regions thought they had human rights, when you could talk to the populace when they thought it safe to talk. Even our Han ‘guide’ in the first two regions.
commented 2016-06-03 18:14:56 -0400
It was a fair question, it really was.

But I don’t think that utterly destroying international relations with China is exactly Dion’s mandate… it’s a discussion for another situation.

Not defending him, but if I had to go through life with a handle like “Wang,” I’d probably have a short fuse too.
