Coal phase out will cost Albertans $1.36B: Here’s why Notley NDP don’t care

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

The NDP have just struck a deal with some of Alberta’s coal fired electricity producers to take their plants off line early, by 2030. The price tag for Albertans is a whopping $1.36 billion dollars.

Watch my video to see exactly what the NDP's plan to take cheap reliable coal fired electricity off line will cost you. It won't be cheap, but nothing the NDP does ever is.

Imagine the innovations in clean coal technology that could have been made right here in Alberta for $1.36 billion. Those homegrown innovations could be exported across the world where coal demand is growing every single day.

But the NDP won't do this and it's just proof positive their plans are not about reducing emissions or creating innovation or saving taxpayers money.

It's about ideology and using fear of C02 emissions to centrally plan our economy.

Green is the new red.

Carbon Czar Notley is Alberta’s version of Wynn, a divisive polarizing socialist engineer with the mindset of a millennial activist ingrate. Mandated by a sense of liberal entitlements and her socialist/communist arrogance as well as her myopic belief in her own NDP parties moral superiority. Her level of political correctness is only surpassed by her gross hypocrisy and disgusting incompetence. A true narcissistic megalomaniac and embarrassment to Alberta. My father knew her father Grant Notley years ago and told me he was never even close to the warped version of the socialist cancerous freak show that she has been proselytizing all over Alberta .

I’m sorry Billy… I didn’t mean to come unglued on you but we haven’t got very many chances left to get this right and every gain however small is a monumental achievement for the right as we have mountains to climb and “swamps to drain” We need every positive thinking forward progressionist that we can find with inexhaustible energy to pursue the the only outcome that we can afford to have and that is the complete political annihilation of the Liberal government.
All that being said thanks for hanging in there Billy and hopefully we understand each other and none of this was personal. If you are in Edmonton on the third the movement can certainly use your voice and your number count.

Yeah… I’m sure that’s how Winston Churchhill would have done it if you would’ve met you back then. Tell people don’t bother trying stay in your houses don’t worry about what happens next everything’s gonna be OK…
That’s the trouble with people today is they can’t admit when they made a mistake….
I haven’t got the energy to battle you as well as post on these threads, try to inspire people and be a thorn in the government side all at the same time… I have to pick my priorities and you obviously cannot be one of them if you cannot see that you could or might be part of the problem.
I am also not the only one that finds your negativity and your willingness to give up so easy not to be inspiring at all..
The only person you got riled up was me. the rest of them you gave them the excuse to stay home… It’s hard enough to get people out there as it is. So now if a few people turn out you’re going to claim credit for that and carry-on with your negativity and your defeatism… I don’t think so. If you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem… Get over yourself you’re not quite the psychologist that you think you are. If you knew anything about psychology for the most part reverse psychology only works on children.
And in having said that psychology at best at the very very best is a questionable science so I don’t think you have what it takes to apply it for a desired outcome.
If you want to do something that may have a positive result was the one that you’re looking for get your ass off the couch and December 3 whether it’s raining or snowing or 20 below and make your presence felt and your number counted and see if you can find Leviticus 20:13 because I will be there in support of the people in their efforts against this crime.

Levi: It’s called reverse psychology. Get people pissed off at my lack of determination for a cause thus instilling in them more vigor to achieve said cause.
Call me what you will, but I hope my lack of persistence will instill in you, and all like-minded Albertans, the ambition to prove me wrong, and that your fight will never end until economic justice prevails.
I’m happy to sacrifice your respect for me if it helps to achieve a result we both want.

Of course Notley doesn’t care; she doesn’t have to pay for this.

She spent much of the past spring and summer in Ontario, attending NDP fundraisers and conferences. She was singing the praises of the “Alberta Miracle”, of course.

She is using her policies in Alberta to establish herself as a candidate for the federal NDP leadership. She has no intention of running for re-election. Why does she want to command a sinking ship? Soon enough, many NDP MLAs will not be seeking re-election themselves – they already know about Notley’s plans to advance her own political career in federal politics.

One other thing Billy… The prose known as “Destarada”
Was written by a communist Marxist sympathizer to appeal to weak willed souls that could find an excuse for anything to not go through to completion. Tasks that they thought were perhaps too difficult or got bored with or otherwise needed an excuse to stop…

Long live the western republic separation movement..!!!

You know what they say Billy… “When the going gets tough the week fall to pieces and scatter”..!!!
commented 2016-11-26 19:24:54 -0500
Hey Billy… You’re asking God for the brains to understand what you can change and what you cannot… God is always told me you never can tell what you can do if you quit halfway through it..
Please don’t try to diss inspire people with your negativity…
If you got negative feelings towards the movement of people try to do and keep going then please keep it to yourself and watch the outcome from the safety of your living room couch. don’t worry I didn’t take your comment as any disrespect I took it as a statement from somebody that doesn’t know how to fight and gives up way too easy.
commented 2016-11-26 18:04:08 -0500
Peter/Levi: I don’t mean disrespect, but I’m incredulous when I see the brainless support given to ideologies of the NDP and Trudeau. I want to see a lot of people there to protest, but when you look at things like JT still leading in the polls, and Notley doubling down on her green communist dictums, I wonder if I’m just not getting it.
We have an election in BC coming in a few months and the NDP is spewing ideology much like Notley, and frankly, it’s very frightening to think that BC might soon have a destructive government like Alberta has.
I’m not being arrogant in giving up supporting Albertans, I’m just being a democrat. If Canadians feel like leftist eco-freak ideology is the way to go, then so be it. We shouldn’t get all worked up over lost causes, life’s too short. Concentrate on causes that have a chance of success. Remember when people fought against gay rights? Fought for women’s equality? Fought for separation? Those things are done. The new fights are globalism, migration, socialism – things where we can still make a difference.
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I agree Peter… Just because one person becomes disillusioned because not as many people can these attend the rallies as he thinks there should be so he criticizes and threatens and attempts to sabotage the efforts of the people who can attend the rallies… how stupid.!! Some are single moms that can’t get out, anybody that has a job can’t walk away from it that doesn’t mean that they don’t have the support.
For every person that attends a rally there’s a thousand more people that think the same way they do and Will vote accordingly when the time comes.
Alberta knows that oil butters their bread we also know that Canada contributes well under 2% to the entire global output of CO2.. We also know CO2 is plant food, trees and plants can absorb many more times the CO2 their being offered now globally and that doesn’t take into account how much CO2 the ocean absorbs and gives back to us in oxygen. Why are we being punished so harshly as a global-non contributor… We should be selling CO2 credits and pocketing the money.
Let the NDP know that we will not except this hobbling lying down. And I use the term hobbling because that’s exactly what they are attempting to do to us for some other agenda than the good and welfare of the people of this province and great country.
At some point everybody that votes for the NDP will realize they are voting themselves out of a job but all must come to that realization quickly.
On December 3 at the legislative grounds in Edmonton there is a protest/information meeting, please make every effort to attend to see what Wild Rose leader Brian Jean has to say.

@ Billy Howard who said, “That event will either confirm my support for the poor screwed over citizens of AB, or I will stop reading and listening to the protestations of Sheila and the Rebel regarding Alberta.”

Is that some type of threat? Why would it matter to anyone what articles you refuse to read or videos you refuse to listen to?

And if there are many thousand that attend the protest, will you honour Sheila with your majestic presence by watching her videos and reading her articles?

Talk about arrogance.
commented 2016-11-26 14:36:39 -0500
Bring cow pies to Notley’s home and set them on fire. That is how much of Eastern Europe and China’s populations heat in winter. Let her understand that this is what will happen in Alberta, and how the people of the province will never forgive the NDP for this.

A government elected as a protest does not, by any means, translates into adequate government. The NDP is a perfect example.
commented 2016-11-26 12:35:14 -0500
Billy I hope your right. Just saying it would be a slam dunk if it was held in Calgary but of course the legislature is in Edmonton. Here’s hoping for good weather.
commented 2016-11-26 12:22:31 -0500
Elton: Population of Metro Edmonton is 1.16 million. I think, by historical standards, a massive turnout for the protest should be expected. Unless, like I suggested, the NDP government policies aren’t bad enough to get people off the couch on a Saturday to protest.
commented 2016-11-26 01:26:48 -0500
Billy Howard-there are a lot of pissed off people in this province but it is a large one and Edmonton is a long way from the majority of the population. Besides that there is already snow up there but we haven’t seen any here in the south. Besides that Edmonton is the bastion of lefties in this province. Pretty hard for a lot of people to find the time or money to travel hundreds of miles (6hrs for me from the Hat) but if I could I’d be there in a heartbeat. I certainly hope a lot show up even if there’s a snowstorm.

Like food, energy is a requirement to sustain life… Ideological climate hoaxers are akin to someone arguing that food causes obesity and other health issues therefore food needs eliminated.. and since that cannot happen immediately, the most expensive food with the least amount of nutritionist is the answer…. This is lunacy and it’s shocking that anyone could buy into such nonsense.

Can’t this be stalled and undone

RON , that 100,000 man and woman March would probably do it
Just think about it

The only permanent solution is to secede and separate.!!
Nobody loves the Western Canada like western Canadiens… Long live western justice.!
commented 2016-11-25 19:31:55 -0500
BILLY the only solution to stop this insanity is for 100,000 plus to surround the legislature and tell the NDP socialists to get out!
commented 2016-11-25 19:15:24 -0500
I’m looking forward to seeing how many people show up at the Alberta leg on Dec 3rd. That event will either confirm my support for the poor screwed over citizens of AB, or I will stop reading and listening to the protestations of Sheila and the Rebel regarding Alberta. If there is no more than a couple thousand that show up, I will be disappointed, but will be happy not to spend any more time concerning myself with the situations of my fellow Canadians there. If Alberta citizens don’t show up in droves, then we have to assume they aren’t really that uncomfortable with the NDP government policies (and are passing on an opportunity to vent against Trudeau as well).
commented 2016-11-25 19:04:31 -0500
Albertans will be glad when this failure is voted out. This must be ingrained into the conscience of the next generations to never trust a lefty with your money.

there goes another 20 000 jobs, wtf does notley care they are not gov workers and likely did not vote for her.
