Notley backs down after Quebec court delays Energy East. Does she work for Albertans -- or Trudeau?

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

Rachel Notley had a chance to stand up for Alberta on Tuesday. She didn’t.

Monday night, the Province of Quebec won a court injunction against TransCanada that forces the Energy East pipeline project to undergo additional provincial environmental testing. It’s legal wrangling designed to delay or maybe even block the pipeline.

This prompted Rachel Notley to hold a press conference Tuesday afternoon to explain what this all meant for Alberta, and you’ll never believe what she said.

Notley said she talked to officials in Quebec and the Prime Minister’s Office and then she stood down, if we were to believe that she was ready to stand up at all.

This was Rachel Notley’s chance to show us she was up for the job of premier. It was Rachel Notley’s chance to show us she understands her job as the steward and salesperson of our chief resource. Instead Rachel Notley seized this opportunity to show us all that she won’t do anything for Albertans, no matter how much we need her to. Even worse, she showed us all she’ll do exactly what Justin Trudeau tells her to do.

Rachel Notley works for Albertans, not for Prime Minister Trudeau. If she won’t stand up for us now, she never will.

We can make a difference. The right may have been divided during the last election but we must stand together to overcome this tyranical and oppressive government.

You spew propaganda better than any news service I have ever read, try getting your biased facts straight once in a while.

OK, So Justine Trudy is trying to every province to jump on the carbox tax bandwagon – and Rachel is right at the front of the line to sign up.

When this goes thru, farmers will be paying the new carbon tax and Minister McCuaig-Boyd thinks the ones in her Peace River riding need a subsidy program because it “costs more” for them to get their grain to the elevator than the farmers in the rest of the province!! A clueless Energy Minister, she knows even less about farming – she’s a school administrator for Pete’s sake!!! To compound the problem, AgMinister Oneil Carlier doesn’t say a damn thing despite of everything his Deputy Ministers are telling him!!! He’s as clueless as she is.

Notley must have gone to the Obama School of Negotiation.

Let’s tell the east we will throw two pipelines in the trench when we build the energy east pipeline. One for oil and the other for money. If we can’t dig the trench, no money flows east.

Trudeau must be ecstatic as he can pick up his sixth joint of BC Bud right at the corner store for medicinal purposes of course.A friend told me that he is ashamed to be Canadian and this hurt my heart. My parents would be ashamed as I am god bless them.Contrary to what Trudeau ,Notley and Wynne are concerned we are Canadians that love our country and our families and we must not be passive to these assaults against our way of life by privileged and apparently self motivated individuals with their own agenda.

Why is Notley smiling. Why does she have her hair in her eye on one side. What kind of gun does she plan on taking out of the holster. Why was she elected!! Last but not least what kind of backroom deal had she made with Liberal hacks before Trudeau`s victory against Western Canada.
commented 2016-03-03 15:34:08 -0500
Oh that smile is as genuine as it gets. The proof is in the video of her and the entire Notley crew laughing at Alberta farmers over bill 6. That’s the one that never quite made it onto the CBC news. It was cut off just before the standing ovation and the laughing started. Notley, Wynne and Trudeau are puppets working for the UN and I will say it again, NO pipelines will be approved by these lying traitors.

Both of them need thrown out of office along with all the other corrupt officials.

David Trembley thinks Notely is smarter than Brad Wall, now I have heard everything. Ha!

For a western woman, Notely is pretty good at that al-Taqiyya ( deception; the islamic word for concealing or disguising one’s beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies.)

She is one smarmy beech. She was going to come out with guns blazing my butt. Who would believe she has one ounce of loyalty to Albertans. Nobody. Her peers know better, her family knows better, her supporters know better and we sure as hell know better. Why does she even bother? Its just a comedy routine. I think she is entertaining herself, and her eastern friends. She can barely disguise her contempt. She hardly keeps a straight face through the whole announcement. I am disgusted by her. She makes Redford look like a good time.

That silly smirk is away of looking down her nose at the stupid peasants. She thinks anyone in the private sector can’t see through her ideology. She’s dead wrong! We know exactly what she’s up to and we are going to do whatever it takes to rid AB of her stupidity.

Notley looked like she’s heavily medicated.

Medication…mmmmmmmm…

The smile is definitely fake, the mouth is smiling but the eyes are like her policies: DEAD.

Given that the population of Canada is just under double the population of the Greater Mexico City population of 21.2 million people, who contributes more to global warming? Canada or any other country in the world?
The population of the US is over 300 million? Do they contribute more than Canada?
It’s time that the Al Gore’s and David Suzuki’s of this world wake up and address the real problems humanity is faced with.
Put an end to war (This would be detrimental to the survival of the military industrial complex), pour more money into medical and agricultural research to improve the lives of all the citizens of the world.
Develop better vehicles to reduce exhaust emissions and subsidize the industry so that these new alternate fuel vehicles are more attractive to the user than the current offerings.
There are billions of ways to improve the lives of every person on the planet but there is little political will to bring about the changes (remember, politicians are like bananas: they are born green, live yellow and crooked and die rotten).
By the way, why is it taming so long for the western powers to bring an end to the war in the Middle East? Jet fighters, thousands of troops, drones, satellites and state of the arts weaponry and yet Isis is still carrying on business as usual. If there was a political will on the part of the west, Isis would be nothing but a memory. However, the builders of missiles, bombs and armaments would have to reduce production.

What always gets me with Premier Blonde Bimbette is her smarmy, smug, self satisfied fake smile. The whole communication through it being, “I’m doing fine Alberta, but it sucks to be you!”

Maybe Ron and his friends can live without electricity, heat, driving, flying, cell phones, eye glasses, etc etc. Not sure the rest of the world is ready to go back to living in the 1900’s as that is what needs to happen in order to make them happy. I just don’t understand what part of the brain is missing in these people and why they can’t see it.

Ron Christensen said, “The world is changing—Canada is changing and we here in Canada will lead the green revolution. I love it.”

What the hell for? You are not one of those idiots who believes in Anthropogenic Climate Change (a.k.a. The Global Warming Scam) are you?

Here is the crux of that bullshit, Ronnie.

1) the science for alternative energy sources is not ready for prime time. i.e. The green technologies cannot supply the energy requirements of our society.

2) the approach of all the governments that have tried to implement the new green technologies is all wrong. They destroy the old industries (oil and gas) before they build they new. What stupid idiots! The proper way is to use the income from the old industries to fund the research and development of the new.

3) the drive to replace the industries is build upon a lie, Anthropogenic Climate Change. There is more than enough factual proof, facts built upon the raw data, that prove that Anthropogenic Climate Change is false.

Just think of how those multi billions now invested in a farce attempt to lower the mean temperature of the planet by one degree could be used to clean up real pollution problems such as massive landfill sites, toxic waste dumps, and raw sewage dumps into the oceans.

Remember the election of 2012, when Danielle Smith had the April Fool’s joke about a Wild Rose policy being to take over Saskatchewan to create Saskberta? Just think if it had been true…we would have Brad Wall as premier.

As for Notley, she is just auditioning for the Laurentian Establishment Awards, aka the Order of Canada. To disagree with the prime socialists sponsoring that award, would put her audition in jeopardy.

@ David Tremblay – " so please stop having childish temper tantrums every five minutes so we can get on with this thing and get the oil flowing."

If posting comments here showing your dissatisfaction with the government is “having childish temper tantrums”, then you might as well stop posting comments here too.

Secondly, David Tremblay, Posting comments does not affect “getting the oil flowing” one way or another.

You might have well just commented what you really meant, “I don’t want to read your complaints so just shut up! Waaaaah!”

All my life I have lived in Alberta, Started a business here nearly 30 years ago, was very proud of the sweat equity everybody here put in from the homesteaders to the entrepreneurs. And now, am so embarrassed at what the NDP an Federal liberals are doing to destruct hundreds of years of work by our grandparents, parents and others. We need a change and we need it now. Without economy, without small medium and large bussines, without investment, there will be no tax base and therefor no future.

Most of the comments here demonstrate why Canadians rejected conservatives in the country and in Alberta. I say keep up the good work!

It’s a very easy thing to do, toss the decision off to the courts and say it’s out of her hands. Quebec’s injunction will jam everything up forever, and JT isn’t going to step in. Notley will just say, “Oh, well. Nothing to do with me.” That’s a typical remark from the garden variety assholes who wear scarves in July.

At this point, what’s Notley going to do? Actually be a premier? Not going to happen. Nope. She’s going to hang out and resign before the next election, leave everyone high and dry, and become something else. Just shows she never wanted to be premier. At least Prentice resigned as an MLA because he couldn’t be premier, a more honest approach.

We live in a democracy. There will be an election in 3 years. Note: The world is changing—Canada is changing and we here in Canada will lead the green revolution. I love it.

There is absolutely nothing the Premier of Alberta can do or say to influence the courts of another province. She is smarter than Brad Wall and knows that everytime you fake scream at the rest of the country it can only make the other provinces dream up more ways to delay the pipeline. I live in New Brunswick and want the pipeline to come here, so please stop having childish temper tantrums every five minutes so we can get on with this thing and get the oil flowing.

Nutley wants to retard Alberta’s oil prosperity, not advance it. Human casualties? Whatever…
