Forget "crocodile tear politics": Here are the gun crime FACTS liberals don't want you to know

Gavin McInnesRebel Commentator

No doubt you saw Obama's weepy gun control speech, and maybe even Justin Trudeau's tears over aboriginal mistreatment.

It works when liberal politicians cry because it appeals to their base:

Women, visible minorities and young people.

They love a good sob story as opposed to cold hard facts and statistics.

For once, Obama actually remembered to mention that children don't just get killed in rare massacres like Sandy Hook, but "every day on the streets of Chicago."

Except even then he didn't tell the whole story.

I'll compare the number of street gang murders that have happened while Obama's been in the White House, to the number of high profile mass casualty shootings that get way more media and political attention.

Guess which one is far more prevalent, by orders of magnitude?

PS: Since most murders in America are carried out with handguns, Obama's assault weapons crackdown will have little impact on the murder rate anyway.

Nathan… Gun violence has never been a problem with the law-abiding gun owning citizenry of the country..

Stand up to organized crime. Legalize drugs. Help addicts. Legal jobs for ex-gang members.
Most of the gun violence will go away like voila!

Yeah, yeah… I’ve worked in Edmonton in the winter, so I know why you call your CFL team the Eskimos. FUCK THAT. I’m not much of a fisherman but I like shooting guns so I lay rightful claim to my status as a redneck. Northern Ontario is COLD 10 months of the year my friend, and the other 2 months are filled with blackflies so… not thanks. lol

Lol.. That’s not cold…!!!!!!
That is just the pretend cold.. Lol
Pretty good fishing around there though… a little off topic but that is my passion.

Hey Greg, thanks for the compliments but, to be clear, the second paragraph of my post was a quoted passage from the book “Time to Say Goodbye” by Reed Scowen:

http://www.amazon.ca/Time-Say-Goodbye-Building-Without/dp/0771079818

Mr. Scowen is a great writer and that passage is truly inspiring. All Canadians should read his book. As for your question about my beliefs, I believe in God, and I believe that Jesus is the son of God, but alas my friend, I am a Catholic (sorry), and we believe that the Bible is an imperfect document written by human beings that is not to be taken literally. We believe the guidance of an educated priest helps one to fully understand and appreciate the Bible. We are not like Muslims who believe the hand of Allah himself wrote the Koran and made it a perfect document. I have a feeling that the people that suffered through the great depression felt like they were living through the times predicted in Revelations, but still the world turned, n’est-ce pas? And you know what saved the world from the great depression? America, that’s what. The prosperity created from the oil business in Texas boosted the American economy and indeed the entire world into an age of prosperity undreamed of ever before. And everyone counted America down and out right before the Silicon Valley boom. Here’s my feeling Greg… let’s not count America out just yet. Let’s give Trump a chance. I think he and America herself have a few tricks left up their sleeves. I’m betting on America.

I am not saying that we should give up trying and just roll over as there may still be a chance for humanity and by the way I did look up samizdat..
The people have to remain moving they must stay moving for the minute they slow down or stop the movement stops with them.

Your comment is so logical and absolutely correct especially the part about cutting ties with the homeland coming here with a new ideal to start to build and take the freedoms that you established for yourself into the future..
Are you a writer…???
You are gifted…!!! You have a God-given talent. People like you have the ability to inspire the masses. The truth in all your words is undeniable. Very very well-written GT.
There is however a hitch I don’t know if you believe in the good book or not but these are the times of the book of Enoch, that is the last generations… Everything that is happening right now will continue to happen in spite of all the best efforts of people like you. The forces that are against us have been in play for a very very long time it is now out of the hands of man. We are being punished for setting God aside. Most people don’t understand it but when we left God and entered the rule of man that punishment was only a matter of time. We have allowed ourselves to live godless and without moral integrity but worst of all we’ve allowed ourselves to be let astray by wants and needs of only materialistic things and we lost sight of why we are here. We have become society of idol worshipers role models etc. etc. . If you start to look around with an open mind you will see more idolatry going on then you were first even remotely aware of. We only have eyes now for materialistic things and pleasures of the flesh.. Everything that is happening right now has been predicted to happen and will happen and all that’s left is for the New World order to establish itself and it will and then the coming Antichrist. Now we enter the book of revelations. For the living there still time to get right with God for the Godless their judgment is coming.

I was joking… sort of. I am a patriot and I love Canada, but the globalists have won here. Canada is a gulag and guys like you and me are Samizdat. I just drove by a church that has a sign out front reading “Come in and ask what you can do to welcome the refugees.” I want to march right in there and ask them to tell me how many rapefugees are coming so I can go to the gun shop and make sure I have enough ammunition. That’s what I can do to welcome the little darlings. You say Trump is a globalist. Listen, Obama is a globalist. Trump is an American. That’s the key difference. Trump wants his kids to inherit an America as great as the one he grew up in and loves. That’s what you can trust about Trump. Is Obama an American? I’m not talking about legal status here, I’m talking about allegiance and patriotism. Under that test, is Obama an American? Of course not. Is Trulander a Canadian? No. He’s a Quebecker. You should read “Time to Say Goodbye” by Reed Scowen for a deeper understanding of the problem that Quebec has caused for our national sovereignty. Scowen makes the argument, with which I agree, that Canada should present Quebec with a clear choice: Join Canada on Canada’s terms or leave. Scowen predicts that, given that ultimatum, Quebeckers will vote to leave Canada and then we can all get on with our lives, and then Scowen has some eloquent words for what we do next:

“I understand that some people will reject my proposition for logical reasons, because they see things differently. They think that the constitutional crisis is about to end, or that it’s good for us. But for the rest of the country, for those who think that what I am saying makes some kind of sense, it will be necessary to find a “healthy mythology” to replace the current myths that still tie us to the place called “ Quebec .” I have found one that works for me. It takes me back to Europe , where, a century ago, my ancestors made an even more profound break with the myths of their collective past and got in a boat bound for the New World . A new myth had captured them, the myth of a land of opportunity. And – here’s the point – immigration to Canada based on this ideal continues unabated up to the present day. I believe that the people who come here are special, different from their brothers, sisters, and cousins who preferred to remain at home. I’m talking both about those who arrived in the eighteenth century and those who got here last week. I believe these people understand that they are cutting their ties with a homeland, with a familiar culture that was finding its expression in the state where they lived, to seek opportunity – equal opportunity. I think they deserve to find it here. If they come to Quebec , they find themselves in New France , a European-style nation-state, alive and well in the New World . But if they come to Canada , they have arrived in “ America ,” and I’m not talking about the United States . I’m talking about an idea – a fresh start, on an equal basis, in a new place. It’s the vision, the mythology, of immigrants that has defined that word America . It’s about what they bring with them and how they behave, towards each other and towards those who were already here when the immigrants arrived. I think it’s time for us to reclaim the American idea for Canadians, too, as “the solid base of what we are.” It belongs to us, and we have hesitated to apply it to ourselves for far too long. So I’d like to put the question clearly. In your heart, do you believe that the Constitution and the laws of your country should give special recognition to a single linguistic, cultural, and ethnic group, the French, now and forever? The laws of Quebec do this today, and the francophone Quebecers will never accept the Canadian Constitution as legitimate until it, also, includes that recognition. I don’t agree with them. This is a matter of principle. We have a difficult but necessary and worthwhile journey ahead of us that we must take without them. They have a different destiny. It’s time for them to go their own way. We’re all immigrants here. I’ll settle for the idea of “fairness” as a base on which to construct my project. And as for myth, I’ll take “ America ” – a vision of people from every part of the world, joined in a political association that transcends nationality, here in Canada . You can build on that.”

Amen

Lol… The comment was good as well as humorous.. but I hope you didn’t really mean it… I like being a sovereign nation but not under the circumstances that we are right now because our sovereignty isn’t worth a liberals promise or a pinch of shit for that matter. there would be growing pains I agree but as it stands right now we are a resource-based nation with huge manufacturing potential a very solid agricultural commitment. Do we really need to put men into space and men and on the moon… That’s all bullshit anyway it never happened because of it did there would be a colony set up there right now mining elements off of the moon.
All we really need is to take care of our own in this country curb excess / any militant importation and let our country evolve without the interference from any globalist efforts. (boy am I living in a dreamland utopia) lol
I don’t know if there’s a silver bullet that can fix all the problems nationally and globally somehow I don’t think so.
I am glad I haven’t got too many years left on this planet to watch the painful yet inevitable globalist regime take away our God-given freedoms and replace it with slavery and encumbrances.
In so far as the presidential candidates go Trump may be the best representative of the people.. But then again he’s a globalist who’s lust for power and profit knows no bounds. The best man for the job is somebody who doesn’t really want it but knows what’s wrong and has to fix it… Kind a like back in the old days when your septic field plugged up and you had to fix it… It needed to be done but you didn’t have the money to hire a contractor to do it, however you did know what to do so just get to it.

Greg, Canada would be a primitive backwoods of nothing but “drawers of water and hewers of wood” if not for trade with the USA. As far as I’m concerned, Canada and USA exist as one seamless economic space. Trump should annex English Canada, build a wall around Quebec, and make the newfies pay for it. They owe us for all the damn EI they milked.

G.T.… One could only wish that our elected civil servants would do what is good for our country.. Lol all countries the size of ours eg… Russia USA Canada Australia Europe should all be vertically integrated countries producing for themselves with the countries need while preparing in peacetime for times of war against a threat that would invade us… Global trade at the expense of our manufacturing bases have not worked for anybody except the globalists who’s lust for wealth and desire for power has left an immediate vacuum in the western countries for leadership and have also left these countries vulnerable and weak. Which is probably part of the plan.
In this country and the other countries I have mentioned have the ability to stand alone and in so would become prosperous independent and peaceful. So in so far as investing in Russia or trading with any other country it would be unnecessary and I really don’t see a need for it.

Greg, I agree that Putin was totally justified in his actions in Crimea. He is a master chess player and he recognized the strategy of the globalists in their astroturf campaigns they use to get pro-globalist politicians elected, like they did in Ukraine (and USA with Obama and Canada with Trulander). Putin knows that the European Union is no friend of Russia and so he is taking steps to resist it. But I stand by my statement that Russia is a hostile nation. What I mean by that is that Russia will do what is good for Russia, and that sometimes means screwing over Canadian businessmen who are a bit naive about Russia’s status as our “ally.” Putin is a good role model, but he’s not our friend, and we need to remember that. That’s all I’m saying. I just don’t want to see Canadians going all romantic over Russia (as they have done in the past.) The USA is our ally. Russia is not. That is not a blurred line. That’s clear. I don’t think Putin is a threat to national security, but I wouldn’t open a business or invest in Russia. WRT the RCMP… they have committed egregious acts of incompetence, but the cause seems to be just that… incompetence. The KGB had a mission and that mission was the maintenance and spread of the Soviet empire. The RCMP do not have a mission, and that seems to be the problem. Right now they seem to be focused on feminism and social justice, which is a recipe for disaster. Canada needs real leadership. We are rudderless.

One day if history is recorded accurately it will state that the Rcmp in this country executed the role of the KGB in the now Communist country of Canada. We can’t hold their past mistakes against them… All we can hope to do is learn from them. And I think that your statement of them being “hostile nation” is a really blurred gray line. I think if they were a truly hostile nation they would be making aggressive preparations towards the west as opposed to defensive ones by securing their assets and tucking in for the long haul..
This is only my opinion but Putin has expressed great leadership qualities and patients by not reacting to the Wests constant badgering, threats and Military intervention by an aggressive by proxy to destabilize the Ukraine from their Russian friendly democratically elected government to install a puppet dictator that is an extended servant of Washington globalists. Anybody in the know understands that this was all over Crimea and the warmwater port into the Baltic . The Crimea people have been historically a part of Russia since time imortal to the time of the the economic crash of Russia where it broke up. What the western media has failed to mention that the vote of the Crimean people was recognized in international court of law to legally secede from the Ukraine back to Russia. The Ukraine at that time had no problem with that… And the notion that Putin invaded the Ukraine is just silly because if he wanted to he could crush that country in a week. he simply provided support to the Ukrainian people and the government that they previously had. He has the ability as do the states to crush the planet with nuclear capability many times over and yet it he is the one holding back from these actions while the states are being the aggressor’s and promoting first strike. it may be that we in someplace in the back of our minds are still influenced by fragments from the Cold War era.
Putting understands that there’s no winners in a nuclear war and I do believe he just wants to be left the hell alone to guide his people and his country into the future.

Russia is the last bastion of Christian civilization on the planet right now Greg, and that’s stunning when you let the historical irony sink in, which I have. Putin represents fully matured masculinity right now, and the world is starving for that quality, just like they were starving for it when Churchill came along. Lt. Col. Ralph Peters called Obama a pussy on live television recently and the video clip broke the Internet. Obama is Neville Chamberlain right now. Trump is Churchill. I like Putin (and so does Trump) but let’s never forget that he is the leader of a hostile foreign nation and he is former KGB. Trump 2016
commented 2016-01-11 11:15:28 -0500
Putin probably cracked a rib laughing while watching Obama on display for the television viewing audience crying like a baby demonstrating his weak character and poor acting abilities..
I like Putin and the media has tried very hard to demonize him and blaming Russia for all the problems in the world today… I know I was overgeneralizing with that statement but Russia has not been trying to build or expand its empire from anything further from what was historically theirs.. Unlike the USA which has either a naval base or an army base on every country in the world except for the Stan"s ,china and Russia including Cuba despite much political conflict between them and the USA… I guess for a little country like Cuba the threat of being bombed flat or flatter in their case is reason enough to let the bullies on the block. The USA had a defensive return fire policy only until the George Bush era dug deep enough to twist the logic into nuclear preemptive first strike with anybody who didn’t agree with the expansion of their empire. There is no such thing with a preemptive strike to control global damage with the superpower like Russia… They are not like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya,… that can be bullied or crushed to submit. You get the picture, they are a SUPERPOWER with enough nuclear capability to destroy the world as has the United States many times over. They are not looking for war unlike the USA but eventually if provoked enough by the USA and the UN how can anybody blame them for reacting in their own best interest. The biggest threat in the Western world is the Western world and it’s funny that more people don’t see that

GT… That post was fabulous… You’re not only an educated man but you are history buff as well… and thank you for not beating me up too badly for my “loose rendention” of Shakespeare… LOL.
Without any attempt at flattery that post was a breath of fresh air.
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”

However the above quote is no longer the peaceful freedoms that we’re living under…
More grist for the mill.

Greg… you were hitting on a great quote from Thomas Jefferson… “Where the people fear the government, there is tyranny. Where the government fears the people, there is liberty.” And yes I was quoting Shakespeare, Macbeth to be exact. Your Shakespeare quote was a loose rendition of one from Julius Caesar where Marc Antony says, “Cry ‘Havoc!’ and let slip the dogs of war.” Having said all of that… I don’t think we need to be worried about being divisive. Being lulled into cherishing the spirit of bipartisanship is how the conservative movement in both the USA and Canada got itself CUCKED my friend. We need to uncuck it. That’s going to take some rash language and some feelings are going to get hurt along the way, because cucks don’t like to be called cucks. I imagine Neville Chamberlain didn’t like Winston Churchill very much, but the old British Bulldog didn’t mean the little cuck any harm, it’s just that a real man had to take charge, and little Neville’s feelings were not important. We need to stop worrying so much about liberals’ feelings. It’s got us nowhere and it’s exactly what they want. They’ve had us dancing on eggshells. It’s time to put on our tap-shoes and make some omelettes. Cry Havoc indeed.

So as long as we stand divided we are easy targets for government, corporations and would be kings or queens. Stand together and we watch them Tremble.. I can’t remember who said it but the quote was… “The people should not live in fear of the government but the government should be in fear the people”
So “Cry havoc and release the hounds of….”.
Now I know it was Shakespeare I was quoting and I think it was Shakespeare you were quoting as well..

So there you have it Drew… My public apology..
You see the thing about having posts like this is it’s not really necessary to say when one is wrong when one has wronged somebody who didn’t deserve it.. Let alone apologize.
I however am not that person.. let’s see if we can all just become better people.. be united in a cause that will make Canada a better place to live and more attention paid to our Christian values as a whole, because that is when we the citizens represented our Canada as “the true North strong and free” and our women and children were free to walk to streets in the many cities and towns across this great country in safety and without fear.
