Dave Rutherford on how NDP won Alberta: “It was strategic voting to try to punish the PCs” -- that “went haywire”

Rebel Staff

Broadcaster Dave Rutherford joined me the night of the Saskatchewan elections to talk about a political contest that hit closer to home for him: Last year's Alberta election, that saw the NDP forming the government.

Many wondered how such a thing could have happened in that free market province.

Rutherford says the answer can be found in very revealing poll of Alberta voters...

If Americans are stupid enough to elect Obama a second term… Albertans are no different.

I agree the right needs to stop fighting themselves, but until that happens we are going to be in deep trouble.

Albertans certainly will continue to reject “rght wing” extremism, that much is for sure! The right wing extremists haven’t figured that out yet, but eventually they will. Conservatism is going the way of the dodo bird.

I don’t think so, Albertans are smarter than that. It was demonstrated that a democratic socialists government was a far better alternative than either a bunch of proven thieves and liars (the Conservatives) or an off the wall US Republican party running in Canada (The Wild Rose Party)

Or could it be that Albertans really are not as conservative as the rest of Canada has been lead to believe?

There were many factors that led up to this rogue government being elected. The WR under Danielle crossed the floor, so the public were very angry about this. Then Prentice called a snap election, so the public did not have enough time to find out just exactly what the NDP stood for. And then of course the debate, where Rachel was her bossy, rude self. I credit Jim Prentice for nailing Rachel with his comment on “math is hard!” That was the most truthful statement that we heard in that election!

As long as there is a fractured right and the infighting that goes with it, the NDP will come up right in the middle every time! It is time we put aside our small differences and unite the right. If the NDP win again, we only have ourselves to blame!

Robert said, “Hang the whole gawd damn works of them.”

I’ll attend that ceremony!

Look no further than the slow motion NDP party for the answer. Who had been stabbing Albertans in the back since the Stelmach government. Even funding our enemies like the Pembian institute with hundreds of thousands of dollars to attack the energy industry and jobs of Albertans. Hang the whole gawd damn works of them.

Things are not as random as they appear.

Alberta collapsed, Ontario stayed communist, Ottawa went full-gulag.

The global economy is ready to tank – had it over to the socialist – let them manage the mess they’ve made over the last 60 years – same goes for the unions.

All union workers should get paid $500 per hour – this would financially collapse Canada – and then we could start over.
