Diva demands: Sophie Trudeau needs “team” to help “serve” the people but are we obliged to pay?

Andrew LawtonRebel Commentator

Sophie "Let them eat cake" Gregoire Trudeau is at it again. Just one week after I shared with you exclusive documents detailing her demand of a new water filtration system for her and the Prime Minister's second residence because she didn't like the "taste", she's looking for another taxpayer-funded indulgence.

In an interview with Le Soleil, Gregoire Trudeau said that she needs a whole "team" hired to discharge her duties as mother of three and wife of the Prime Minister.

Gregoire Trudeau says that the full time staffer she has can't keep up with the influx of speaking engagement requests and correspondence, and that she can't "serve" without added help.

Serve whom, however?

She was not elected, has no salary, and has no official role whatsoever.

And she already has a team: not only does she have her personal assistant, but she also gets to borrow staff from the PMO when she's travelling, and has two PMO-paid nannies to look after their children.

The left still complains about Mila Mulroney's three staffers, and now Gregoire Trudeau feels she needs more than that.

Sophie, you have got to be kidding!!! Get a job, pay for your own nannies and entourage. OR, get your husband to pay out of his WAGES!!!

Peter Toth: Before the Prom Minister and his date, Sophie the overworked get tooooo carried away with the public purse strings, they may want to brush up on their world history, lest they forget the ending that Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu of Romanian fame met. The old" history repeating itself," maybe??

she wants to pursue her wanna be objectives …" wanna have an opportunity to burst out in song ( stepping up to the plate )", " wanna be SEEN as a service provider " " wanna be SEEN as being oh so busy " , " wanna be called on for speaking engagements" " wanna be the Kate Middleton hat model " …. you can wanna be , BUT NOT ON MY DIME… i do not feel " serviced " at all by your BEING there …you are simply your " hubby’s " other one ….there are pple much more influential around to look up to …kind of enough of these two gimme gimme….while posing as " leading " a nation" ?

Sophie: ‘Please stop helping!’
And please no more public displays of – I suppose some would call – singing…please!

Canada neither wants nor needs an Canadian first lady. That is an American thing. What we have here is a person who has had a taste of the limelight and desires the fame of celebrity, at the tax payer’s expense. If she, an unelected private citizen, wants the trappings of celebrity, then she should pay for them. If her assumed duties are placing a strain on her then she should stop VOLUNTEERING for them.

Great report, Andrew.

It is interesting that CTV is showing a plethora of persons supporting the issue. But CTV is also ignoring the survey taken by its Ottawa station that shows 80% of the respondents opposing the issue! The Prime Minister’s Media Party strikes again!

OH aren’t we full of self importance, too bad you have no integrity or modesty. What a joke her and her hubby are, they probably do not use spray in the bathroom because they think their bowel movements smell like bakery fresh cinnamon rolls.
yeah i stole that from Family Guy, but it fits so well in this case.

Hmmmm…has Sophie ever heard of Evita Peron?

Wait …. Sophie wants to be Evita Peron. And we all know how well that turned out.

Think about it. She has nannies looking after her kids, a cook and most likely a housekeeper doing the cleaning and washing, all paid by us taxpayers. What the fuck does she do? She wasn’t elected, her husband was. The best way she could serve me would be to shut the fuck up and disappear.
commented 2016-05-12 21:20:28 -0400
If she thinks that she is so popular and wants to be heard like her dumb ass hubby, maybe she should charge a speaking fee like her hubby did. Then she can hire her own staffers and cover her expenses. Although, if she does charge a fee , she may find that her popularity drops considerably.

Let’s just hope she doesn’t sing again!

My goodness. My husband is ex-military and while he spent many months overseas flying into Afghanistan I worked full time. By the time our oldest child was 2 years old my husband was gone 17 months of her life. I didn’t have a paid-for Nanny nor did I have a house keeper, or an assistant, yet I managed. Surely Princess Sophie can suck-it-up.

I don’t disagree with a nanny for the children when she is out with her husband at “official engagements” or on trips out of the country. However, what is expected from the PM’s wife exactly? What did previous PM’s wives do? Looking at it logically, couldn’t she say that she would be able to attend one local event per week (unpaid) to speak at, leaving her the other 6 days of the week free (except when she has to travel with the PM)? What other servants are in the Prime Minister’s residence? I suspect a cook and a cleaning person, so that allows Sophie to dedicate 6 days of the week to raising her children and dealing with her husband. I understand she would have to take some time out of those 6 days to prepare for her speaking engagement. Set a limit, one speaking engagement a week, politely decline all other’s and place them at the back of the stack when she is not relatively new to living at Sussex Drive and when interest begins to wane. How many assistants does a PM’s wife normally have? I can’t see any reason for more than one. Or, does she think that she’s working for something similar to E Canada again and she wants as many perks as humanly possible? Is she missing her TV job and wanting to be on TV as much as she was previously, but doing duties as the PM’s wife? I cannot even begin to respond to her request that the water be changed in their second residence because she didn’t like the taste of it. Unless taken out of context, she sounds like a spoiled, entitled brat rather than a woman of 40+. As other’s have suggested, buy a Brita Water System and while you’re at it, perhaps focus your speaking engagements on not only the current crisis going on in Fort McMurray, but also the homeless and impoverished who would never complain about the taste of the water in shelters or where they live. That truly is the most airhead complaint I have ever read. Sorry, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, no “team of assistants”, and I’d knock the nannies back to one. If I could manage to figure out one speaking engagement a week, politely decline all others, why couldn’t this supposedly well educated woman, the wife of our PM do the same? Also, perhaps next time you’re interviewed on 60 Minutes you might want to wear your wedding band. You want more than enough perks that you think you deserve being the PM’s wife, at least wear the ring to prove it. Shame on you, Sophie.

At least Trudeau Senior was a well travelled intellectual. How long will we need to endure the intellectual light weights who share his name?

She is nothing more than a wannabe Mooch-elle Obama. Maybe “tingles”, Craig Oliver and Bob Fife could get her a gig at Continuous Trudeau Vision. If she wants to pimp herself out to the elites, she should do it on her own dime, not ours.

Andrew Lawton: Great reporting, as usual! Too bad it had to deal with the increasing self-entitlement demands of Fluffie Sophie, which will no doubt be met at the expense of we hapless taxpayers. Who voted her in anyway?

I’m a very hard right person with a charitable heart. If Sophie can do good works in her advantaged position above and beyond the cost she requires, then I support her, but if her duties and “Good works” become partisan in nature, then send her back home barefooted in the kitchen.

There should be laws about how much extra expenses a PM and his family can spend. Canadian tax payers are not a bottomless pit of money.
