For years radical leftists have compared anyone on the right that they don't like to Adolf Hitler, even though Hitler was leader of Germany's National Socialist party.
That habit has found its way into the pages of Postmedia thanks to Ottawa Citizen writer and apparently purveyor of conspiracy theories, Glen McGregor.
McGregor, well known to be no fan of Harper or the Conservatives, used the occasion of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's birthday last week to dredge up claims that Harper and Hitler share a birthday.
McGregor goes on to point to changed Wikipedia entries, he interviews two authors who had published April 20 as Harper's birthday, rather than April 30 -- both of whom claim it was an error -- and generally offers up no proof of anything.
But he does accomplish his goal, he gets to smear Harper with the Hitler brush.
Media Party indeed.
