Environment Ministers’ meeting singles out oil industry; no “Sunny Ways” for Alberta and Saskatchewan

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Is the oil industry being singled out by environment Ministers?

From her glowing reports and post-meeting photo-op, Liberal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna would have us believe that the recent meeting of provincial Environment Ministers was a smashing, Sunny Ways, success.

Reality paints a different picture though with points of disagreement on everything from how to price carbon to who decides about pipelines.

One thing that is apparent after this meeting is that the Federal government does seem to target the oil industry while the auto industry and aerospace industry get a pass.

It seems like it’s one set of rules for Saskatchewan and Alberta and another for the rest.

Welcome to Justin Trudeau’s smaller Canada.

Thanks for that Brian.
As the Economy tanks Transfer Payments will dry up.
I see that Alberta will now get $250M, whose paying?

Justin doesn’t drive a car any more. He floats around in his new bouncy castle in the sky.

Strange how the companies and industries that are continuously at the trough looking for handouts are given a free ride, while the industries that actually support themselves are given the bums rush by these cretins. It’s the same old story with these progressive fools, reward failure and punish success.
Colin, the better question would be, how many Liberals are smart enough to be able to drive a car? Hence the push for driverless cars.

TWO CANADA’S ?…..This should be explored…..How good could this be for all Canadians?

‘Western Canada’ should be split from ‘Eastern Canada’ and not just for perceived bullying or covetous reasons.

It is just too huge and diverse a geographic area with 3 oceans to govern and manage efficiently, which is why it never has been. There is always some regions getting short shrift mistreated, like the West is now.

The two separate sovereigns would compete with each other to both their benefit. Competition makes everyone better…(We do it with Grey Cup,- east against west without resentment).

Each would have to govern themselves better by necessity.
Many functions like military could be negotiated as joint operations. We could still have rights to travel freely and ship goods across borders. We would trade and purchase each others products much as we now do.

Economically… The existing debt could be split on a population basis.
Both trade largely north-south with the USA… The east has major access to the Atlantic rim, European, Russian, African, Middle East markets etc. and the West has Central and South America, the Pacific rim Asia, China, Japan etc.

The East has big manufacturing, lots of natural resources, Great Lakes and plenty of fresh water.
The West has plenty natural resources, lots of fresh water etc. and would have to establish a governing and financial centre.

There could be a competition to determine the players on each team. I envision the west comprised of BC, Alberta, Sask. and Manitoba with the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
(Actually you can see that Jean Chretien anticipated the West would one day separate, by the way the boundary of Nunavut swings way over into the NWT to take in all of the the ‘North West Passage’ as a future ice free shipping lane to be under control of Eastern Canada).

The boundaries could then be determined…. Separate flag and anthem etc.

Now I’m thinking that if train and truck loads of new Ontario made cars and trucks and Bombardier products from Quebec were stopped at the Ontario/Manitoba citing DOWNSTREAM CO2 emissions the screaming would be heard all the way to BC. Let Butts and JT chew on that thought.

Brian Lilley, what a bummer of a video! Guess I will have to listen to Lighthouse’s Sunny Days to bring me back into my sunny ways.

Father Lawrence Winslow said: “Seems like it is time for the West to separate from Canada!” The time for the West to determine the future will be if Trudope pushes through on his threat to alter the electoral system to ensure continuous Liebrano Governance! In the meantime, it would probably be prudent to start laying some groundwork such as which currency to use (U.S. Perhaps?) so that the transition to an independent state can be achieved quickly! As far as Nutley and the Alberta NDP are concerned, any move for separation would automatically nullify their legitimacy as they were put in power by the policies of a foreign nation…..Canada…..once separation is complete.

the NDP’s idea of lowering our emissions is to kill all industry in Alberta completely. Canada will soon be a 3rd world country soon if it isn’t already.

confederation has NEVER worked as it was intended in its original intent. There is no reasonable expectation (and never has been) for Alberta and Saskatchewan to fully participate in this nation called Canada. In 1905 the confederation documents talk about provincial equality, collective economic strength and provincial jurisdiction free from federal interference. Can ANY reasonable person say that those basic precepts of confederation have been honored? will ever be honored?
Western separation is the only path for western Canada to be free of central Canada elitist manipulation.

Can we sue these idiots after they have decimated the economy of the country?

Seems like it is time for the West to separate from Canada!

Send the petulant child Quebec to their room with no dinner, ie cut off transfer payments. They’ll come around.

Sick and tired of this environmental garbage when our emissions are so insignificant. When will we wake from this nightmare and say it like it is. Why can’t we make a dent in stopping these insane politicians and left wingers and garbage msm from spewing these lies about our environment. No other country puts down their resources as Canada does, are we ever the most stupid people.

Heck i and many other people have eaten or taken oil products into our systems, so will you lefties eat some raw sewage? LMAO!
commented 2016-01-30 00:33:37 -0500
A challenge to Justin and Coderre and all the hypocrite lefties, i will swim in oil if you swim in the raw sewage you have no problem with.

Michael Mann where are you? You say Ezra only talks about oil, yet the left only demonizes oil. Where is your criticism?

The East West pipeline is finished. Time to move on. Canada no longer works as a nation. The West is being victimized more each day and it’s going to get worse as long as Trudeau and his radical environmental thugs are in power. It was a great dream that was killed in the last election.

Right on- In any case we are spending our future chasing pixies and unicorns.

Mac Cumming wrote «Canada has only 1.5% global emissions which tells me that anything we do will make no difference.»

You need to watch your math there. Since only 3% of global CO2 emissions are man-made, Canada’s man-made portion of total CO2 emissions is only 0.045%.

I am tired of these braindead sons of bitches lording over the west at the failed altar of climate change. It is all a hoax of gigantic proportion to tax us into poverty. Canada has only 1.5% global emissions which tells me that anything we do will make no difference. Why then are we destroying our economy. There is only one option left separation.

Free Alberta. It’s the only way.
