Every Vote Counts hits Toronto's Entertainment District: "Trudeau is legalizing pot so ..."

Jason & MattRebel Commentators

In our continuing quest to give ALL Canadians a voice, we hit Toronto's Entertainment District at midnight on a Saturday night to get some "honest" political opinions!

(Language warning:)

Voters say that honesty matters in a Prime Minister, so why shouldn't we get it from voters too?

As the old saying has it, "Drunken words are sober thoughts." That may be, but if they want to have their say, the first thing these kids have to do is remember when election day is.

Remember kids! Don't drink and vote!

(PS: Watch Part Two -- if you think your heart can take it!)

I have been reading that testosterone levels are much lower in men who have just smoked pot. I have also found information to the contrary. The info that says it does lower levels also admits that levels rise again when the THC is no longer in the bloodstream. If this is true, chronic smokers could experience the many symptoms attributed to lower testosterone levels. I’ll let you use your imagination.
As far as lung dysplasia is concerned, cannabis smoked, does about the same damage as tobacco cigarettes, except that you would have to smoke the equivalent of a pack a day in joints, I imagine to replicate the same damage.
Also I can’t find any articles which say tobacco causes mental disorders, or arrested emotional development in susceptible youth.
But cigarettes have no health benefits, cannabis has many medicinal uses when the delivery is not smoked, chronically at least.
Lets just say there are potential problems.

Paul T, good joke, appropriate.

Do you agree with Harper that marijauna is “infinitely worse” than tobacco?

There’s an old sea story about a ship’s Captain who inspected his sailors and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled bad. The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally. The first mate responded, “Aye, aye sir, I’ll see to it immediately!” The first mate went straight to the sailors’ berth deck and announced, “The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your underwear.” He continued, “Pittman, you change with Jones; McCarthy, you change with Witkowski; and Brown, you change with Schultz.” THE MORAL OF THE STORY: Someone may come along and promise “change” ; but don’t count on things smelling any better …

I imagine the government pot control boards won’t be selling high potency product? Won’t that leave the crim market share pretty undisturbed? But you’re right Edward, the crims will not be stopped or disappear because a government makes it legal and distributes it.

When they ended alcohol prohibition in the U.S. criminal organizations didn’t disappear they simply found new sources of revenue and so it will be no different if they legalize pot. They will either set up legal shop, find ways to make it cheaper or they will sell variations often more potent or other even more hazardous drugs.

Yes Liza, the left will not allow for home-growers. Self-sustainability and will be punished even more than it is now, because it’ll be directly taking away from their monopoly. We see this home distilling, which is also “illegal”.

Perhaps others like Kathleen Wynne would allow some form of home growing if they set up a bloated and expensive “permit” scheme to do so… Once one would obtain such a permit, the cost of production would be barely worth performing, making it likely that those concerned with what the state says is “legal” or “illegal” will just go to their local MCBO monopoly store.

I’ve already got my permit to grow, it came from God… Not men, not “the crown”, not “queen’s park” or Parliament.

Pay your hydro bill, wire to code, don’t give it to children, clean up your wastes outdoors, don’t blow smoke around people who don’t wanna partake… The state has no moral leg to stand on if you are Lawful in your actions and dealings. The only mechanism they have for compliance is pointing guns at you and stealing your property, pretty much sums up what they’re all about.

Richard V., “These guys are confused about what Trudeau means when he says he wants to LEGALIZE “Marijuana”. That’s socialist code for, we’re gonna set up an overpriced monopoly of stores, not unlike the LCBO.”
That is exactly Justin’s plan Richard, and not to allow people to grow for themselves. I don’t think the gov will put up with home growers. Justin is looking at it as a new money stream for his gov. and more jobs for unions.

Regarding voting, people are lazy and don’t gather information to develop opinions anymore. They go by headlines and soundbites on the internet, and what their idiot friends are saying on facebook. I used to encourage everyone with ears on to vote. Not anymore. Have another joint and forget to get off the couch on Oct. 19.

These young Canadians are typical, I’d say 90 or so percent think and act in this manner. Good little slaves, as taught to perform by their teacher’s unions and mainstream media.

But to see where things really first started going wrong, we’d have to look at the baby boomers. This is where Canadians started to turn soft on tyranny, started to look to government to protect them from themselves… The same folks who grew their hair long, smoked pot, listened to the Beatles, have turned into some of the most selfish prohibitionist tyrants ever seen. The young people today possess the boomer selfishness, hypocrisy, only on a radically magnified scale… Their apathy brought by "smart"phones and Facebook to the point of no return.

A true conservative does not necessarily need to be pro-Cannabis… But they MUST be anti-monopoly, in favor of dismantling any and all monopolies, be it Hell’s Angels type bike gangs, government bureaucrat-run stores, or a BAR association, police associations, and a “corrections” industry that all enrich themselves from varying degrees of prohibition and monopoly.
commented 2015-10-04 12:22:14 -0400
I fully understand this was done outside a nightclub area, but I despair for these young people! As I have commented before, “We live in the ‘Selfie Generation’”. It is me, me, me! I only hope that these young people are atypical of Canadian youth!

There is an agenda to take the dumbed-down serfs, give them their “marijuana” to appease the growing dissatisfaction with the state of affairs. Bread and circuses basically.

For those who haven’t seen the scam, this plant will be used as a weapon, to further disorient them from seeing the flaws of Euro-socialist feualism that’s being installed. There is no spiritual Cannabis experience for those people, just moral apathy and “marijuana” partytime.

I grow my own Cannabis because I refuse to fund gangs. I know that my product was created without a drop of blood being shed in the process. Fine, ticket, arrest me all you want, you’re still wrong, you’re still at odds with God.

The dumbing down of Canadians has been completely successful
commented 2015-10-04 11:15:42 -0400
@ Richard

Nailed it – if they ever actually decriminalized the stuff the value would drop to about zero over night as every pot head would just grow it in his basement or kitchen window without fear of reprisal (which is what keeps the price elevated). Government/organized crime would not tolerate having their revenue hit so hard. BC’s economy would crash overnight…. :-)

These guys are confused about what Trudeau means when he says he wants to LEGALIZE “Marijuana”. That’s socialist code for, we’re gonna set up an overpriced monopoly of stores, not unlike the LCBO.

What the fools don’t understand is that they’ll be selling George Soros’ GMO “marijuana”, the prices will be ridiculous, the related revenue creation schemes (tickets for “being stoned in public”) type shit will eventually make these guys wish LEGALIZATION had never occurred.

They’ll be busted up by pigs for growing “marijuana”, any and all assets seized by “the crown”… And they’ll do it with this “how dare you grow your own” attitude, “that money is supposed to go toward health care”… Much in the same way if find you buying Indian cigarettes or making your own liquor.

I’ve always grown Cannabis, and I know that because it was made by God, it is Lawful to grow it, so long as it’s not given to children (unless by a doctor), or use it for evil of some sort. Organic, no chemical fertillizer.

I need a Conservative leader to recognize my pre-existing right to grow whatever plant I choose. To be humble and recognize they will not violently coerce me to stop growing, it is my heritage, and it is a fruit from God.

Conservatives have to differentiate themselves from Trudeau and the Liberals… Don’t “legalize”, go the full mile and De-Regulate.

sending those reporters to B.C. is a horrible idea, that’s where I live.

That’s the Liberal Party policy " If you can’t dupe them , dope them ".

I really wish you two would quit reminding these idiots that they have a factor in society. If they can’t inform themselves, let them ramble along in ignorance and squalor. Don’t allow them the opportunity to diminish the votes of the people that are paying for their stupidity.

send these reporters to BC!

And to think that Mulcair considers the GTA the most important part of Canada. He caters to idiots.

Please don’t tell me those people are going to vote … but by the way none of them knew about the day Oct 19, I doubt they will remember to go vote.

I’m just thankful that there is no law requiring us to vote. Most of these geniuses should be prevented from voting. Clueless sheeple of Canada.

It’s too bad there is not a means test for these clueless voters.

Thank you for reaffirming my conviction that GTA is fly-over country for anyone with an IQ above a turnip. It also confirms why some of the most disgusting human sewage can be elected in GTA city core ridings. It also disproves GTA lib-left papers are manufacturing Liberal support here, I doubt any of these creatures interviewed are functionally literate.

Garry, they had those “microphones” for awhile. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel to say something negative. Good try!
