Rebel Staff

The 'Draw Muhammad Cartoon Contest' came to be after the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack. CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) held a 'Stand with the Prophet' event.

This didn't sit well with Pamela Geller and the AFDI who put together the $10,000 prize event.

It featured speakers such as JihadWatch's Robert Spencer

And Dutch politician Geert Wilders

Here's Pamela Geller's full speech.

Bosch Fawstin, a former Muslim, won the contest. Here's his full speech.

What happened? Islamic terrorists decided to attack the free speech event and were gunned down.

David Menzies was at the event. Let him walk you through it as it happened.

Glenn Graig, “Does Moses strike you as the type who would cave in like kelp” Moses my main hero from scripture. He stood up to the potentate of the day with a staff and the word of the Lord. Rhodesia the jewel of Africa. No other nation can compare. When PET was PM he refused to issue visas to Rhodesians who wanted to come and tell their story.

Ron Zager to you and your wife…when I was a student at Mount Saint Vincent there was a young man on the student council who was ….I dare say it…a Rhodesian refugee. He was exemplary of what the word “meek” means.
People have been taught a perversion of the word “meek”. It is commonly thought that the word means someone who would cave in like kelp.
Just as people in the west use the fox as the totem of craftiness and the owl as the totem of wisdom, Tibetans use the tiger as the totem of “meek”. A tiger has confidence that is free of arrogance. A tiger has nothing to prove. The Bible says “Now in all the earth there was none more meek than Moses.” Does Moses strike you as the type who would cave in like kelp?

Anyway this fellow’s sister related to me how much she admired her brother and related to me a story where they were a group of refugees as young teenagers. They were stopped at a bridge by one of Mugabe’s boy soldiers. Apparently he boldly walked up to the guard….stated their case…and they were allowed to pass.

He taught me a song..

“On the dusty road to old Dubai…come echoes of the very first cry…as fugitives and scaterlings seek refuge in the night..we are the scatterlings of Africa each uprooted one …”

Don’t mess with Texas. Thank God (Ours). There are no “Moderate Muslims”. They only wait for the “radicals” to accomplish their Islamic state. I commend these people for standing up to their principles and attending this event. The Socialist Media should be ashamed of how they have portrayed and attacked these persons who have stood up for freedom of speech!

Ron, Threats of death and death advocacy ARE covered in the law. However I am a free speech absolutist….I do not believe for one minute that tall grass becomes safer when you cut off a rattlesnakes tail. The only suitable reply to Robert Mugabe would come from that most eloquent of mouths…the muzzle of a gun.

So when Robert Mugabe says death to the white man you must just say “Oh yes I defend his right to free speech”.

Great clips. Wish I could have been there.
