Pope Francis meets with Bernie Sanders and Muslim “refugees” — but why not persecuted Christians?

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Pope Francis is political. Every pope is. And the other day he met with the socialist candidate for the Democratic primary, Bernie Sanders.

The meeting was the pope's idea. But if anyone thinks that the pope inviting Sanders for a visit on the eve of the New York primary is political, well, the pope says you should, "look for a psychiatrist”.

The pope said that while returning from the Greek island of Lesbos, which is overrun by Muslim migrants.

The pope’s trip was a photo op, to take three Muslim migrant families back with him on his private jet. But why? Isn’t the real problem the genocide of Christians throughout Muslim lands?

Of course, the pope didn’t actually bring these three Muslim families into Vatican City. They’ll be living in Rome. Vatican City remains walled off; no refugees can climb that wall, and if they tried, they’d be shot by the Pope’s elite Swiss Guard...

NEXT: Ontario PC MPP Monte McNaughton joins me to discuss Kathleen Wynne's corporate donation scandal and why his push for a debt cap was rejected in the legislature.

THEN: Tax watchdog turned Wildrose Finance Critic Derek Fildebrandt unpacks the financial mess that is the Alberta budget.

FINALLY: Your letters to me, nice and not-so-nice!

One reader says that with the way things are going, our Alberta Bureau Chief Sheila Gunn Reid will have to put out a new edition of her #1 bestselling book "The Destroyers: Rachel Notley and the NDP's War on Alberta." Well, we’re way ahead of you — I’ll explain.

I also read reactions to our stories about the latest Attawapiskat crisis and the Halifax refugee bullying cover up.

Nanny Premier Kathleen Wynne, you make me barf every time you open your mouth. 13 years now and 3 more to go before the next election…it will only feel like another 13 years.

Jay Kelly, what anti-Catholic and anti-Jewish rhetoric?

Sarateamedwardjace: I said "Worst Pope Ever " not braun. The Pope’s job is to save people, not get heavily involved in the Political Theory called climate change. Francais was on his world stage at his home soil in South America talking about the above, while Christians were being slaughtered in Iraq .
Maybe I should have said , Worst Pope in the last 100 years , as that’s all I have studied. Anyway I must be right as no one has punished me and I shot my best game of Golf today.

I find the anti-Catholic and anti-Jewish rhetoric on here revolting at times.

The Pope needs to go to

and he needs to watch the truth about what Islam has in store for us all.

No more political correctness. We want the real truth about Islam.

No more “sugar coating” Islam.

commented 2016-04-20 00:43:16 -0400

It’s like our leaders have had some sort of “spell” cast upon them to keep them in a permanent stupour about the evils of Islam.

Sarah TeamEdwardJace, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I made no definitive statement of any kind, I was just speculating about a prophetic statement made by the late Archbishop Fulton J Sheen. I never said he was referring to the current pope, I was merely speculating on the possibility. As far as your rejection of Christianity is concerned, you’re either right and I’m wrong, or I’m right and you’re wrong, or we’re both wrong. One thing for certain, we’re not both right. Objective truth is funny that way. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Philippians 2:10-11, referring to the end of the age says “at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”. Well, that will either happen or it won’t. If it will, it will include you, Sarah, whether you like it or not. I believe it will. Again, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Barking socialist with a narcissist twist. Will pope Evita throw a burka on all Christian symbols so as not to traumatize is Islamic pets ….. Will he be supplying islamic ritually-sacrificed meat for meals , grub blessed by the most benevolent most merciful Allah……. Were there no Christians in that refugee camp ?????? Of course there were , a barking socialist from Argentina …. Pope Evita, has to be aware that Christians suffer an especially vile and violent persecution in the Middle East , yet cannot expect any empathy from their Pope .All the while the leftoid MSM just love how he bends over for all their crazy atheist fetishes, ignoring the Christian gospel…. Yet the minute they sniff any Christian conservatism from him they’ll sic their Jackals on him …. in a New York minute !

@maurice Potvin, @bob egli, and @braun (reply to all your comments) Don’t you think you’re all overreacting just a bit? Firstly Maurice, this is hardly the signs of your perceived beleif of the end times or antichrist (which I’m not sure I really beleive in anymore due to no longer being religious. I also happen to be more critical of religion. Anway I’m, referring to your belief in the antichrist. The world will likely end at some point, just not in the way you like to believe). @bob Egli- That’s quite the leap you’re making about the pope (simply because he believes in human rights for people that happen to be non-militant Muslims). Your stance on the issue seems be on the sane false grounds of those who have deluded theories about Obama being a Muslim). @braun, While I’m not christian anymore, I beg to differ in terms of our the current pope being the worst one ever or even having a case of (Truedau fever as you so sarcastically phrased). How very partisan of you which seems to be exist among certian factions of Christians with fundamentalist values who do not take kindly to other Christians who are accepting of the LGBT community, to non-relegious communities, Christians who are accepting of others that the militant brand as other sects. or do have differing views that are not in line with their brand of Christianity. By doing so, you (or other people with similar or even toxic attitudes) are not do in any favours for the world or their religion in attracting more people.

Could it be that no christian migrants were present in the same vicinity as the pope during that time? Because , I don’t see any evidence suggesting a bias towards christian or non-militant muslims. (Christians do face horrible persecution and violation in parts of the world outside of North America along with certain factions of non-militant muslims and other populations (including Judaism) One (non-militant) group is not less deserving of another to be granted an opporunity for a better life just because of the a faith they may happen to identify with . Also, I hope Christians in North America, Europe and Australia do not turn into a perceived case of perceived proof of them persecuting in their countries or violation of rights based on the relegion that they happen to part of , when there are so many other people including Christians in another parts of the world are facing gross maltreatment and violation of human rights. Christians for the most part (at least in certain North American countries like Canada and America ) are not facing widespread persecution, oppression or violation of human rights on the basis of a religion they happen to be part of.

This POS pope should be excommunicated and sent back to the third world from where he came. He’s a detriment to Christianity and the Roman Catholic Church. Help us all Pope Urban II!

Pope Urban II, Council of Clermont, 1095.

Speech given to the Franks, in response to pleas from Byzantine Emperor Alexios for aid against the jihad.

“From the confines of Jerusalem and the city of Constantinople a horrible tale has gone forth and very frequently has been brought to our ears, namely, that a race from the kingdom of the Persians, an accursed race, a race utterly alienated from God, a generation forsooth which has not directed its heart and has not entrusted its spirit to God, has invaded the lands of those Christians and has depopulated them by the sword, pillage and fire; it has led away a part of the captives into its own country, and a part it has destroyed by cruel tortures; it has either entirely destroyed the churches of God or appropriated them for the rites of its own religion.

They destroy the altars, after having defiled them with their uncleanness. They circumcise the Christians, and the blood of the circumcision they either spread upon the altars or pour into the vases of the baptismal font. When they wish to torture people by a base death, they perforate their navels, and dragging forth the extremity of the intestines, bind it to a stake; then with flogging they lead the victim around until the viscera having gushed forth the victim falls prostrate upon the ground. Others they bind to a post and pierce with arrows.

Others they compel to extend their necks and then, attacking them with naked swords, attempt to cut through the neck with a single blow. What shall I say of the abominable rape of the women? To speak of it is worse than to be silent. The kingdom of the Greeks is now dismembered by them and deprived of territory so vast in extent that it can not be traversed in a march of two months. On whom therefore is the labor of avenging these wrongs and of recovering this territory incumbent, if not upon you? You, upon whom above other nations God has conferred remarkable glory in arms, great courage, bodily activity, and strength to humble those who resist you.

Let the deeds of your ancestors move you and incite your minds to manly achievements… Oh, most valiant soldiers and descendants of invincible ancestors, be not degenerate, but recall the valor of your progenitors."

You could probably read this today and most people couldn’t tell that it’s over 900 years old.

The pope thinks he worships the same God as the Muslims. I think he may be right. The MSM said he would have taken some Christians but for whatever reason apparently their papers were not in order. I thought now isn’t that just too convenient.
commented 2016-04-19 01:21:26 -0400
Sanders is just trying to look less Jewish. So of course he kisses the ass of a guy who wants to open the arms of the world to Muslim refugees. Ironic this guy is the pope.

“Shot by the Swiss guard…” Ah yes, the Swiss Guard armed with rifles ever since Michelangelo designed their outfits 500 years ago.

The Pope went to Lesbos to draw attention to the plight of refugees and as a rebuke to the movement to have them sent back.

Peter Netterville commented 1 hour ago: "Lloyd Nolan asked, ““Whose God is the popes’ God””
Not the God he is supposed to be representing, that is for sure. "

Peter, here’s a very eerie 1950 prophesy from the late Bishop, Fulton J. Sheen, Roman Catholic Arch-Bishop of New York from 1961 to 1965. Do you think this might be referring to the current Pope? He was selected from among the Bishops.

“We are living in the days of the Apocalypse–the last days of our era…. The two great forces of the Mystical Body of Christ and the Mystical Body of Antichrist are beginning to draw up the battle lines for the catastrophic contest.” He also said: “The False Prophet will have a religion without a cross. A religion without a world to come. A religion to destroy religions. There will be a counterfeit church. Christ’s Church will be one. And the False Prophet will create the other. The false church will be worldly ecumenical, and global. It will be a loose federation of churches. And religions forming some type of global association. A world parliament of churches. It will be emptied of all divine content and will be the mystical body of the Antichrist. The mystical body on earth today will have its Judas Iscariot and he will be the false prophet. SATAN WILL RECRUIT HIM FROM AMONG OR BISHOPS.”“The Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers. He will not wear red tights, nor vomit sulfur, nor carry a trident nor wave an arrowed tail as Mephistopheles in Faust. This masquerade has helped the Devil convince men that he does not exist. When no man recognizes, the more power he exercises. God has defined Himself as “I am Who am,” and the Devil as “I am who am not.”

That sounds like the prophesy could very well fit the current Pope. What do you think? (I’m not saying it does. I’m just speculating on the possibility)

I have followed at least 10 Popes in my life and never said anything close to a bad word about any of them. He is the worst Pope ever. He gives speeches about Global Warming while Christians are getting slaughtered in Iraq. Muslims are burning down Churches , not only in the Middle East but Indonesia , and he washes Muslim’s feet. I think even God is ashamed of him.

No Darryl. I canceled my subscription. However I figured since I paid for a month I would get to watch for a month. One other thing I notice was that when I cancelled my subscription, The Rebel stopped using my L L and place my full name on here. Is this Rebel’s way of payback for cancelling their service. If this is how they work then this is a warning to all of you to not drop this news channel because as soon as you do, Rebel will use the name on your credit card to out you.

Francis has Trudeau fever. Forget about values, forget about representing Christianity, as is your duty before God, just go with what the media loves and what gets you international air time. Pathetic Trudeauesque pandering to the uneducated sheep.

I’m not following this pope at all. He’s way too political, and I think he should be more biblical. I saw a picture of him hiding his cross, so that he didn’t offend someone or other. That said it all for me!

Pope Francis – the first Marxist Pope. He’s a disgrace.

Socialism is a scam to begin with. The Liberals are just living up to their “ideals.”

The NDP knows that this will be a one time thing for them – they’ll do as much damage as they can before their time is up.

This Pope has a foot fetish, he also has something afoot.

Vatican City is a separate country that, in exchange for Gold, sheltered a lot of Nazi’s toward the end of WW2. I think this Pope is making deals with the Muslims in the hope that he may save his neck.

When in Rome, Do as the Romans do. When in Canada do as the Muslims do.
