Trudeau orders reporters to delete news — and Media Party applauds

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

There was a lot of confusion surrounding the mass murder at a Quebec mosque on Sunday night, as we’ve been reporting from the scene, at QuebecTerror.com.

At first, police arrested two suspects, Andre Bissonnette and Mohamed Belkhadir. Witnesses reported that the shooters shouted, "Allah Akbar."

The CBC, CTV, Quebec's TVA, and foreign media all ran with that information.

But by mid-day, these "facts" had changed.

Yesterday, Justin Trudeau’s top PR aide, Kate Purchase, sent a scolding letter to Fox News, accusing them of tweeting “false and misleading language relating to the identity of the suspect.”

But the Fox tweet had simply said that one suspect was Moroccan, and cited reports to that effect, which had been running everywhere, including the CBC.

In journalism, when news changes, you update it. You don’t delete it.

(And when did the prime minister’s office get into the business of telling reporters to delete stories? Could you even imagine if Stephen Harper had demanded that a reporter somewhere delete information?)

So how did the Canadian media react to Kate Purchase’s message?

CBC deleted posts with any mention of a Muslim suspect. CTV and the Toronto Star were thrilled. So were the Canadian Press and Global News.

The CBC had a pundits panel on the subject, and not one of them had any qualms about the Prime Minister demanding that reporters delete news.

Now, here’s what’s next:

Montreal police have arrested a man “accused of online hate speech targeting Muslims.”

Making death threats is a crime. Terrorism is a crime. But hate is not a crime; it’s a human emotion.

But look at the last sentence:

"The force is hiring 55 people whose jobs will include monitoring social media sites for hate speech.”

That’s not police work. That’s censorship.

I predict that The Rebel eventually will face some sort of legal sanction.

And you know that the media will be 100% supportive of it...

The 32,000 terrorist attacks by muslims in the western world dwarf this incident to the point of nullity.

NO CRIME is worse than the Bataclan. Nothing will ever be worse than the Bataclan.

Trudeau wants to turn Canada into China? Looks like it. He wants to control the news? He has to retract that it is a terrorist act because the news have not said that it was since there is no charge of terrorism. Trudeau is trying to write the news? As Prime Minister, he has to do his job not the CBC job.

Well now… Are we getting a bit of a taste of what real state enforced censorship might look like?… Good!… Now try to imagine what that would be like. living under Soviet news censorship in Eastern Europe for 48 Years!… That’s two damn generations down the drain!… No wonder so many committed suicide with state sponsored cheap vodka… And if you don’t think that can happen in Canada – you’re right!… Praise God, our American neighbours won’t let it happen and cannot let it happen….

@ John Barron, “Canadians are being manipulated and prepared to accept M-103”.
Yep.

This is without question a horrific crime, innocent lives taken, families and a community suffering an anguish no one should have to endure. Now we have to ask, why? Why did this young man kill and injure these people? Why him? The timing of this crime is too perfect, given the state of mind in the world over the new American President. While the rest of the free world seems to be accepting Islam and sharia the Americans have a POTUS who is not. I can’t help but believe that this kid was duped somehow into perpetrating this crime, either through financial promise or threat to him and his family. A few innocent lives would be of no measurable sacrifice to those who seek to further their cause. That being the islamization of the west. Now muslims are the victims and we must protect and embrace them. They are the victims and we must change. Stealth jihad at it’s best. Sounds crazy I know, but….

Excellent reporting, you brought up very good points on so called “hate speech.” I agreed with you, definitely weird is going on with the Liberal government,.

I have a gut feeling that the first story with two gunmen yelling Allah Akbar is true.
My gut tells me that Trudeau and the Liberals are creating a crime scene to accommodate something else. We will never get the truth out of the Media that the government pays for. FYA

EILEEN MCRAE SAID: “Yes, Mr. Prime Minister, your words do apply to this young man who perpetrated this heinous crime. You need to “look at the root causes”! You need to find out why this young man felt so completely excluded.” You need to find out “where those tensions are coming from..”! You, most of all, need to stop “pointing fingers at each other and laying the blame…” You, Mr. Prime Minister, need to examine your government’s policies and question if they had any role in triggering this young man!"

Well Said!!

Glenn Craig: The Nazis burned the liberals delete. I go a chuckle out of your line about Harlequin Romance.
commented 2017-02-02 11:57:14 -0500
@al WHO MADE REFERENCE TO NAZI BOOK BURNING…..I am not a holocaust denier I have seen the proof. But the Nazi book burnings are Hollywood distorted hype. There was a specific list of books burned and the burning was a public demonstration where the Nazis voluntarily burned their own copies while encouraging others to do like wise. There was no house to house search for every copy of these books. The books were all deemed to be insulting to Germans and upon reading the list I can sort of see why.

Books get routinely burned and sent to be pulp mushed and recycled all the time. Libraries only have limited stack space. Let’s face it every copy of Harlequin Romance does not deserve to be cherished like the Dead Sea Scrolls. I became aware of this when investigating why so many vanguard feminists took “Library Science”……It is the selective and discrete burning of closed stacks that is the real insideous crime.

If the Trudeau government does get Liberal Motion M-103 passed, could The Rebel broadcast from the darknet?
commented 2017-02-02 11:52:37 -0500
- At best the Liberals are using this tragedy to push a political agenda. At worst, they’re involved, directly or indirectly, with creating it. Canada’s main stream fake news media is a disgrace. The liberals may as well just write the news for them from now on. Calling the shooter a right wing Trump supporter based on carefully cherry picking his “likes” on his social media isn’t fear mongering but repeating initial reports from the police is? Pathetic.

- If they shut down the Rebel Canadians can stop pretending that they have any freedoms left.

@jay Kelly …319 is the consequence…318 is the definition. Also it is only the Attorney General of Canada who is authorized to lay a charge under the Criminal Code on these matters …not every crybaby SJW in their safe space playpen. The people arrested in Quebec were charged under laws which only have jurisdiction in Quebac.

The practise of trying to interfere with free speech and press is what cult leaders or dictators do. In democracy we challenge the story by providing other facts and adding more witnesses not trying to erase or rewrite history.
commented 2017-02-02 11:07:47 -0500
I understand there were 19 people injured. Hopefully when they have recovered we will be able to talk to 19 more witnesses. In order to get a better understanding it is important we do not allow others to tell us to stop asking the questions.

Ezra I really enjoyed Barbara Kay’s interview and appreciated her perspective particularly about the start contrast between how Justin Trudeau reacted over the Boston bombers and his reaction this time also missing was the usual claims of mental instability. Sad that he chose to use this tragedy to flex his muscle over the press.

The reality of the world wide Jihad will be the downfall of M-103.

Terrence Fitzpatrick: You totally miss the point. You do not tell people to remove a story or tweet. First off you are abusing your office as prime Minister and secondly it could be considered the akin to tampering with evidence or history. It would be simply better to state we wrongly stated ( Mohamed Belkhadir) was involved or was only a witness but I do appreciate the liberals tendency to want to delete their electronic footprints (emails or otherwise).

Liberal progressives in Canada are slowly losing the battle. Any attempt to deny “freedom of expression” or “freedom of speech” must be met head on with peaceful protests. Our prime minister and his refugee policy is solely to blame for the dissent that is spreading through our country.

Mr. Harper brought in immigrants by the thousands from all around the world. Did Canadians object in the same way? No, we did not. And the reason that we did not was because the “refugee” policy was not used as a wedge issue to divide Canadians. That is what is happening with the present government’s policy. It is polarizing Canadians.

I have nothing against helping out those less fortunate. However, to use the “refugees” as a means by which you promote your narcissism and stroke your own ego, is morally contemptible. And, that is what our prime minister has done. All he needed to have done is bring in these refugees but “shut up” about doing so.

Unfortunately, this Liberal government shoves the “refugee” issue into our faces day in and day out. My local CTV channel runs story after story of how these “refugees” are thriving in Canada – the businesses that they are setting up, their first snowfall, their first skating lesson, their meeting with NHL and CFL players, etc. It frustrates me that one and only one group of immigrants is being pushed as propaganda.

Our prime minister needs to seriously reflect and contemplate on his own words: “…And then at the same time, you know, over the coming days, we have to look at the root causes. Now we don’t know now whether it was, you know, terrorism or a single crazy or, you know, a domestic issue or a foreign issue, I mean, all of those questions. But there is no question that this happened because there is someone who feels completely excluded, completely at war with innocents, at war with a society. And our approach has to be, okay, where do those tensions come from? I mean, yes, we need to make sure that we’re promoting security and we’re, you know, keeping our borders safe and, you know, monitoring the kinds of, you know, violent subgroups that happen around. But we also have to monitor and encourage people to not point fingers at each other and lay blame for personal ills or societal ills on a specific group, whether it be the West or the government or Bostonians or whatever it is, because it’s that idea of dividing humans against ourselves, of pointing out that they’re not like us and, you know, in order to achieve our political goals we can kill innocents here. That’s something that no society in the world that is healthy, regardless of ideology, will accept.”

Yes, Mr. Prime Minister, your words do apply to this young man who perpetrated this heinous crime. You need to “look at the root causes”! You need to find out why this young man felt so completely excluded." You need to find out “where those tensions are coming from..”! You, most of all, need to stop “pointing fingers at each other and laying the blame…” You, Mr. Prime Minister, need to examine your government’s policies and question if they had any role in triggering this young man!

It is very clear to me that Justin," our glorious leader", is wanting to become a dictator. Not so very different from Fidel Castro or Joseph Stalin.

He wants the news deleted if it is not in agreement with his “fake”, self serving ideology. He is a corrupt politician that should be removed from office as quickly as possible.

If the story, ie, the murder in the mosque does not represent Canada’s so called belief system, then we shall simply change and delete the facts.

The media needs to present the truth and have supporting evidence to back up their claims. Both sides regardless of being Liberal or true Conservative need to present their arguments and then let the Canadian public decide what is true.

Justin wants censorship. How convenient and how very dangerous! This "spoiled child Prime Minister is the puppet of the Islamists and George Soros & Globalism.

He has no credibility to hold office as Prime Minister!

The boy blunder is on the run. His townhalls were a disaster, so he didn’t do one in Vancouver. He has retreated from electoral reform. Breitbart reports Trump’s popularity is rising. Recent polls suggest the little tater’s popularity is on the wane. It is no wonder that he is so sensitive above the Quebec City shootings. The little mashed potato is in the fetal position, sucking his thumb.
