Faith Goldy hosts: 5 bold policy ideas for CPC leadership candidates

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Confession: I am really over the Conservative Leadership race in this country. Not a single candidate has offered a compelling vision for Canada.

Am I the only one who’s tired of Canada’s self-image as nothing more than a middle power?

We’re not. We’re a top-tier G7 nation, and we need radical new policies to reflect that.

Tonight I reveal the five bold policies I think would take the leadership race, the party and Canada to that level.

My proposals concern currency, the military, healthcare, firearms and, yes, abortion.

WATCH and see what you think!

Tonight’s guests: Steven Blaney explains his idea on how (and why) to abolish First Nations reserves, then Pamela Geller talks about UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s statement that “Islamophobia fuels terrorism.”

Thanks Faith. I always enjoy your shows. I totally concur with your assessment of the bland state of the cpc leadership race. I think right now the party is in a dilemma as to what exactly it is they want to be. They’re now indistinguishable from the other parties on social issues and collectively vague regarding fiscal and foreign policy. I say time for a populist grassroots uprising to galvanize the right with something more tangible and a workable strategy to trim down our exorbitant debt and deficits. Except Blaney did show some spark in defense of supply management. I’m rather neutral to it as many years ago I witnessed the both pros and cons of that marketing system from the inside.

- this race should have been settled within no longer one year from the election. I like the 5 points made here – all are achievable if the political will is there.

- It’s obvious that the Indian Act isn’t helping native peoples. It’s worked well enough for the Liberals. Maybe time the Conservatives stop supporting things that only serve the Liberals?

- The UN needs to be disbanded. It does more to promote terrorism than anything else. The biggest voting block belongs to the the Muslim nations & the globalists (like Trudeau) take their marching orders from these 7th century savages. F#ck M-103 & all those who support it.

Faith, you did an excellent job of bringing out some truly IMPORTANT issues for the candidates for the CPC party. A truly insipid bunch, so far. I, being lazy, have been waiting for some of you good journalists to do some of my homework and challenge my thinking at the same time. You have done both! The problem is that few if any of these candidates offers anything on the true issues we face. One of the glaring problems has been health care. MOST Canadians have been affected by long and painful waits for adequate health care and thousands of us have left the country to find health care outside. We are not so stupid as to think that our health care in this nation is even close to functional. It is BROKEN but no one wants to look at it, let alone speak up. The Indian Act needs to be abolished, yes. Free speech must be maintained, not abolished. The carbon tax is a joke and regulations MUST be lessened in ways similar to Trump’s idea on it. The cost of hydro is killing Ontario’s competitiveness in manufacturing…abortion needs to be addressed…but no one seems to have the guts to address the obvious issues. Thanks for a job well done! Now to find a candidate…..hmmnn.

RESOLUTE CHRISTIAN Lately I have been thinking along similar lines, as I was pondering how President Trump has been doing. My thoughts went back to the U.S. primaries and the election and I tried to recall the difference between, say, Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush. I’m sure there’s a difference, I just can’t recall it.

the CPC is not much different than the Liberal party and the NDP. There is no difference between the current candidates and Harper. It is all about “centralizing” Canada. Being a true conservative (small “c”) politician in Canada is virtually unheard of, for fear of not receiving enough votes. Harper made sure to prove that during his time in office. Wins the election, then announces he is more of a “centrist” than a true conservative. CHP is probably the closest thing to “conservative” in this country these days. And even that is a bit of a stretch.

Steven Blaney is an impressive person. I like his ideas! He would be part of my dream team to run the country!

Jackie Carter loves Kevin O’ Leary because Kevin O’ Leary is a Liberal in all but fiscal policies and Jackie Carter knows most of the regulars here are Conservative. So Jackie is just saying, “who is with me!!!” to be a typical troll jerk.

There is no way Kevin O’leary or any other candidate who doesn’t give a crap about the immigration PROBLEM is EVER going to be PM, let alone leadership winner.

Another extremely important point Jaime. Can’t ignore that one either.

“The” problem with Bernier is this quote:

“It’s a philosophical debate that we can have; do we need to have property rights in the Constitution? I don’t think so. We just need a smaller government that will give more freedom to people and won’t interfere in private matters. "

At its best, it displays an amazingly simplistic and naïve view about organizational behaviour in general, and government behaviour in particular. At its worst, a peek at the mind of a fellow who thinks that private property rights aren’t that important. Either way, he’s no libertarian.

And for those who support his “all we need is smaller government logic”, then I guess by extension we really don’t need any enshrined rights and freedoms, eh?

The entire interview is here: http://www.c2cjournal.ca/2014/09/what-does-quebec-want-nothing-of-constitutional-reform-says-maxime-bernier/

A policy I would like to see … which never will be … is that when there is a change in government, the bureaucrats, law enforcement and judges are required to uphold the legislation of the current government or be tried for treason or resign before committing treason.

We saw a lot of rebellion from socialist and SJW bureaucrats, cops and judges when Harper was in office who intentionally did not uphold the law passed by the Conservatives. Those acts should be tried for treason.

It is happening to some extent in the USA with Trump now in office. Treason.

My morning chuckle, thanks David, "As for the conservatives creating something they now bitch about….probably your (AMAN DAHUGINKISS ) parents feel the same about you if they are able to read your posts.
We could add a few others to that list.

GERALD TRETIAK, I’ll tell you what I think. There is nothing ’born again ’ about it. We are going to take the country back from people who have forgotten what the country is really about. Just ask 2/3 of the population.

[Re-posting from an earlier thread]
Is there anyone running a spreadsheet on CPC’s leadership candidates views?
I’m on the lookout for someone who will promise to prohibit:
- Any federal, provincial or municipal initiative to implement any carbon tax or so-called cap and trade-like programs
- Any legislation or practice that gives favour to Islam
- Any legislation that in any way curtails Freedom of Expression or hateful speech
- Any funding to the United Nations or its agencies
- Any elections activist group from receiving any foreign funding
and a candidate who will further promise to:
- Not even think about electoral reform without a referendum
- Balance budgets (or at least give it the old college try)
- Relinquish all sitting MP’s pensions if the debt grows between elections
- Never to interfere, in any way, in pipeline planning, development and construction
- Abolish the Indian Act
- Defund, or at least reduce funding to, the CBC
- Implement one single Nationwide Healthcare system, but allow competition from private healthcare organizations
This just my starter list, I’m looking to expand it. But I’d love to learn of candidates “yea or nay” on an item by item basis.

Blaney is right about the Indian Act. I don’t know how far he would get though. There are a lot of tribes who do not want it completely scraped, they are too used to the money stream. A payout is so final. They should have their property rights, but they will never agree to what they have a right to and what they gave away legally. They will always be fighting for land that isn’t theirs anymore. Give them their due, by all means but I don’t think they would be satisfied. in that case they won’t be able to keep coming up with ways to guilt the government into handing over guilt money. Each new generation wants a payout for what their forefathers had to endure at the hands of the white man. It never stops.

I was also impressed with Blaney’s honest logical conclusion regarding the murdered and missing women situation. We have known the causes for some time and wasting any more tax dollars in searching for the ‘root ’causes only takes away from real solutions. Solutions which start with an acceptance of where the problem really lies as well as some responsibility taken by ’first’ nations. Treat all Canadians the same.

I don’t know about the rest of where he stands. I know I didn’t hear what I really wanted to, considering the ’emergency ’ situation the country is in at the moment. But he had good ideas on many issues.

AMAN DINGUS…You make a stupid statement about Faith arriving at the scene so quickly and you infer that maybe Ezzra sets this up. Quite a moronic statement. How do you explain the minute Trump says anything massive crowds materialize at airports across the land, or elsewhere, made up plakards in hand, and protests begin almost before Trump finishes his statement? Soros and the uber left in action?

Conservatives may have originally created the cbc. It was your liberal friends who turned it into the slimy propaganda machine it now is, only for their political benefit.

As for the conservatives creating something they now bitch about….probably your parents feel the same about you if they are able to read your posts.

Great show Faith! I totally agree with allowing private access to health care. We have so many people waiting for health services and privatization will allow the queue to thin out. Love Pamela Geller she always has so much great stuff to say!

I would add these policy planks:

1) Get rid of the FED. The federal government should be issuing currency lie it did pre-1974.
2) Institute a flat tax for all Canadians. Sure have it progressive for higher incomes.
3) Assisted suicide for elderly and suffering Canadians.
4) Reduce the Duty on trans-border online purchases.
5) Encourage Inuit and First Nations people to pursue employment and educational opportunities to where there is an abundance of such opportunities. To do that have a 5 to 10 year moratorium, where all income and investments are tax-free. Even up to 15 years, maybe 20 years, just to make sure that the last nail is hammered to the coffin of dysfunctional and poverty-stricken First Nation and Inuit communities. And this will help Aboriginal people to build up significant, substantial wealth and work skills. Most non-Native Canadians mistakenly think that us First Nations have tax-free status right across the board already anyway. So it would not be a stretch. In the long term welfare payments to individuals on First Nations communities should drop.

JAN G with respect to ‘philanthropist’ Bill Gates slamming Trump for defunding International Planned Parenthood, Gates is among those calling for a sharp reduction in the world’s population, gave a TED talk showing that the best way to reduce CO2 emissions was to reduce the human population, and his father was a high ranking official in Planned Parenthood. Another evil powerful elitist man like George Soros, using his wealth to cause chaos around the world to advance their globalist cause.

The rebel is not blaming immigrants. Rather, the rebel is giving a very honest portrayal of the fake refugees.

I hope you don’t believe the mainstream media in how they portray the so called refugees.

Two years later and there is still no news. Just politically conservative talking point cliches, picking on immigrants, politicized hyperbole, phrases that are common for wingnuts like “mainstream media” or “the liberal media” even though fact is it is only conservative media that is politically agenda driven. There are no real news journalists and all news if any at all has a politically conservative agenda and narrative. It’s also kind of weird how fast and immediate Faith Goldy is able to fly to a scene of mass shootings and acts of terrorism within 24 hours. Maybe their all staged. Ezra and his ilk does not represent Canadian Conservative or Libertarian interests and all the emphasis has been put on The Donald Trump Show.

There is only one thing I agree with these wingnuts on and it is that CBC should not be tax funded and is not essential and should fend for itself just like CTV, Global, and City-Tv. The fact is the CBC was created by the Conservatives. Thank you conservatives for creating something you now bitch about. Now shut the fuck up with you’re racism.

Regarding M-103. All religions. All! need to learn that in Canada the right to free speech comes BEFORE all religions. Your religion is number 2 to our number 1right to draw mustaches on pictures of your God. We can also question the motivations and actions of yours prophets and chat in bars about how hilarious it is that your prophet rode a donkey instead of the majestic burrow. To say insulting things, questioning or discussing a religion is a crime because it will cause people to act violently is to justify the violence itself. The left think immigrants are a little stupid and can’t make this connection (I think most good immigrants know how crappy it is to live in a place with blasphemy laws). In Canada I’m allowed to say Buddha was such a jerk because he thought Jesus had a bromance with Abraham and that makes the Torah void. I would never say that because its ridiculous and untrue. But I’m allowed to think whatever I want as long as I don’t incite hate. All religions need to get on board. Your religion will never take precedence over the right to free speech. If not I think your religion sucks.
