Trudeau “sucks up” to China, Saudi Arabia, and now Russia — aligning Canada with the west’s enemies

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Now comes news that Trudeau is ending our diplomatic objection to Vladimir Putin, the authoritarian president for life of Russia.

The Globe and Mail reports:

"Foreign Affairs Minister Stéphane Dion is rejecting an all-party effort to enact an American-style Magnitsky Act, which freezes assets and bans visas of Russian human-rights violators.”

When they were in opposition, the Liberals claimed to care about human rights and democracy. You know, values that we traditionally call “liberal”. In the last election, a good number of Liberal MPs ran on an anti-Putin platform — especially Ukrainian-Canadian Liberal candidates.

Suckers! I mean, didn’t you hear? Canada is back! That’s another way of saying “Canada’s for sale,” that we’ll change our foreign policy if you buy weapons or other things from us.

But It’s not just the money.

It’s a radical, ideological statement: That Canada is actually closer to the enemies of the west. In that way, Justin really is his father’s son…

NEXT: I’m joined by Candice Malcolm, the Sun Media columnist to talk about the huge contrast between Stephen Harper, who championed western values, and his Liberal successor.

THEN: You might remember our friend Robbie Picard, the oil sands advocate and Fort McMurray resident who lost his home in the fire. He gives us an update on how he and his friends are doing, then he describes all the great work the oil companies in the province have done to help evacuees.

FINALLY: Your tweets and emails to me!

Well, I don’t DISAGREE OFTEN, but this time I HIGHLY DISAGREE!! Ezra, we are out of the days of ‘Russia being our sworn enemy’… I for one am all about making peace and maintaining a close relationship with Russia, in fact I would very much welcome that. Now Saudi Arabia? KEEP THEM AT A HUGE DISTANCE PLEASE. Putin has proven himself a no B.S guy and helped the war on ISIS in a big way, I loved him calling out B.S on America too. No, I am not with you on this one Ezra.

Well Ezra, a lot of your readers disagree with you. Please don’t bring up the Crimea thing to justify your reasoning.

God bless Vladimir Putin…We need a strong leader like him in this country

Saudi Arabia is the west’s ally China is not the west’s enemy and neither is Russia

Tyranny lives on the Left. It always has.

Josh, I wonder if the members of the big political parties in Canada really “only care about politics one day every four-or-so years.”

For one thing they have their own jobs to worry about. If they want to be re-elected they better work at it.

But they also are driven by a sense of giving to the common good. Most Members of Parliament I have met have a strong sense of making Canada a better place. Each one has some idea of how to best do that.

The major problem with modern liberals is that they only care about politics one day every four-or-so years here in Canada, that day is election day.

It is interesting, isn’t it? The Liberal government portrays itself as idealist in terms of human rights and fairness at home and abroad, and contrasted itself with the previous government, but when in office continues the same trade relationships with China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and other places that the old Conservative government did.

What gives?

There is pragmatism, of course. The Liberals a clever at doing what is most useful at the time.

But there is also capitalism. For all their rhetoric, the Liberals never claim to be anything other than capitalist. And this is what capitalists do, like it or not.

For starters Trudeau can negotiate the end of economic sanctions and negotiate a visa free travel between some parts of Russia and Canada.

So are we.

The liberal party is hypocritical with most everything. I am not saying this for all Liberals, some are very different. It is indeed sad they allow themselves to be muzzled.

trudeau does stand for what he believes. The trudeau liberals obviously believe Canada should be a totalitarian state, not that they will call it that, under the quebec elitism.

It is time to stand up, push back against these criminals, become informed, pass the word.

Richard Sieben said: “If Russia and China are fighting our enemies for us, how are they our enemy?”

Hmm….where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, the enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Sean Penson threatened: “Maryann Kenney,
That is a clear violation of the law, and you should be duly reported to the authorities. A good political reeducation camp is what you need. Shame on you.”

Advocating tyranny Sean???

Sean Penson sings: “Canada has no enemies, except hate. We are friends to all, far and wide!”

Cue “Sunshine and lollipops” How much more ridiculous can this become?

John Siciliano commented – “The best way to construct a foreign policy is for it to be independent and anti-imperialist so then the nation will not bow before other nations around the globe”

An idealistic if not unrealistic idealism to be sure. The facts on the ground are that independent action is only possible if you are both economically and militarily independent – Canada is not.

We enjoy the security of living under the US/NATO nuclear umbrella without paying our share in it so we jump when the US foreign dept says jump. We are also a debtor nation (thanks to profligate socialism) and must jump when our creditors, trade partners and the IMF say jump. We also belong to this insidious global governing cabal centered in NYC and Brussels and it places directives on our foreign policy through treaties we foolishly signed with their despotic members.

You want sovereign nation-state policy making, then pay off our creditors, pull out of NATO, UN and G7 and go it alone – otherwise we are subject to the wishes of our critical economic and security partners.

My Russian co-worker and his friends hate Putin! It’s why he came back to Canada to work, because Putin is out of control. He was recently in Russia, and saw literally truck after truck of oil coming into Russia, and he asked his friends where the oil was coming from, and they told him that Putin is buying the oil from ISIS.

I guess you can call Japan, Germany, Italy, and The Ukraine or enemies because they were our former enemies either of the Great War or WW2. Any nation like Ireland and Finland who collaborated with the Nazis are our sworn enemies too.

Now just a cotton pickin minute here! I am a 4th generation Canadian. My Parents MET each other while serving in the RCAF. And my Ontario Grandmother was once a regimental Sargeant Major. I am French, Welsh, Polish, Iroquois, and Catholic. And I take EXTREME offence to anyone calling Russia one of Canada’s enemies! They are fighting Canada’s enemies thank you very much, and if nobody has noticed, Russia is pretty well earth’s very LAST remaining Christian empire.

“If Russia and China are fighting our enemies for us, how are they our enemy?”

The never often asked question whose real answer is a real kick in the teeth. It is because our globalists do not get along with their globalists.

Vladimir Putin is the only ethical leader in the free world today. He has a very high approval rating and does not kowtow to political correctness. I wish Canada had a leader like him. Instead we have a candy-ass and a pansy for a prime minister.

Rebel is showing by their anti-Russian, Chinese, and probable anti-BRICS stance that they very much favour a world war. They need to be straight with us!

commented 2016-05-14 19:55:36 -0400
Of course, as I always say Rebel never presents news to challenge their own orthodoxy or the orthodoxy of the mainstream. They are the mainstream!

They will never show the clips or talk about the issues that I have brought up.

They are very much arms of the Conservative party and that is what their job is.

Do you think they will bring up news such as the soft coup in Brazil but Rebel is launching attacks against Russia, China and Iran because they have very much close ties with each other. They fail to mention that they are all part of the BRICS organization. They fail to talk about Roussef being removed from office.

“In Brazil, the government of Dilma Rousseff is facing a major destabilization campaign orchestrated by powerful right-wing elements in the country and their U.S. backers”. Will Rebel report on this? They are stuck in their own little world. The obvious next step is South Africa which is also part of BRICS.

“What bothers me more that the low intelligence PM is the low intelligence voters that put him in the PM chair.” – Peter Netterville

What you fail to realize Peter Netterville is that it is not low intelligence to have a differing ideology and that is merely casting everyone aside in small groups, and the Conservative party is a pro-war, pro-imperialist and pro-manipulation party. They will never challenge the consensus. Their whole role is to continue the wars and to have phony patriotism which is just playing a game.

I think Canada needs a foreign policy which is independent and truly investigates what is going on instead of merely going along with NATO or the US. I would rather have no wars than wars.

Rebel does not do any research or does to challenge anything because it does not fit their ideology, which is why they call themselves an op-ed website. Eric Draitser has shown by putting pieces together that this ISIS is about manipulation by Western governments to create fear in the West for selling the wars and the easily led buy it so easily. This is a manipulation campaign and people have to see that it is obvious that the West wants Assad gone.
commented 2016-05-14 19:54:53 -0400
The best way to construct a foreign policy is for it to be independent and anti-imperialist so then the nation will not bow before other nations around the globe. Selling out the nation is what an imperialist and interventionist state is all about. Selling out to warmongering factions, Israel firsters, Christian imperialists, weapon manufacturers and interest groups is very much a pro-globalist and anti-nationalist movement which is about corporate profiteering and does not benefit the nation one iota. Do you think Rebel will show the clips I have posted below? They want you in the dark and in the tank of the mainstream movements.

People talk about how Liberals differ from Conservatives but both believe the lies and there is consensus that the wars must be fought but in slightly different ways yet Rebel is again being disingenuous on this question.

The US created these wars in the Middle East and Canada followed like a poodle along since 2001. Which it does show Canada truly is the 51st state. We need our own distinct identity and if we cannot decide then we are not a country.

These clips from Youtube do shed light that the US is an empire and NATO is simply doing the bidding of the USA which is accurately the case. The people should stand up against imperialism and the wars, and quite frankly most people believe the propaganda, which is saddening and does show lack of spine and lack of critical thinking. Rebel would have you believe that we have not fought anything, when they supported Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and now Syria and Iraq. The results are there but imperialism has led us to this point.

These clips are necessary to hear from the sheeple on Rebel which are going to follow any neocon movement which is about more war and other people’s children having to be sent overseas.
