Paige MacPherson: “If you’re ticking off enough people, you’re probably doing good work”

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Tonight I talk to the Alberta Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (and fellow Rebel Cruise passenger) Paige MacPherson.

We discuss the important campaigns the Federation tackles on behalf of all Canadians, as they try to keep government small and fiscally responsible.

She gets attacked a lot on social media, but explains how she stays “a happy warrior” in spite of it all.

Paige got into conservative politics at a young age, when, as a university student, she found out that a radical leftist organization was partially funding Israel Apartheid Week on campus.

She has advice for students today who might want to get involved in conservative causes.

Not everyone is struggling Maryanne, and not everyone can be a rocket scientist either, so why the envious attitude? It’s not up to you to decide that since you can’t go, that nobody should.

I wish I could have gone on the cruise, but maybe next year! I’m so glad that it has been successful, and will be an annual event.

@ Maryanne Kenney

Maryanne, isn’t it the choice of the people who signed up for the cruise to determine whether they can afford it or not?

Is it really your place to be disappointed at the people that signed up? What right do you have to even express your disappointment in the people that signed up for the cruise?

Sounds as if you are dictating to everyone that because your situation does not allow you to afford it, then everyone else should not be able to either. Sounds like socialist attitude to me.

And as far as The Rebel itself is concerned, the cruise helped them to generate a bit of revenue for their continued operation, so The Rebels’ costs were not only covered, but left them in some small profit, all with the full knowledge of the people that signed up for the cruise that they would be helping The Rebel with additional revenue.

So, why again are you disappointed?

what i dont understand is…….a CRUISE ?? PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING TO PAY OUTRAGEOUS HYDRO BILLS PLUS COSTS OF NORMAL EVERYDAY LIFE AND YOU WANT PEOPLE TO PAY FOR A CRUISE THIS CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS ??? WHY NOT SOME TOWN HALL TYPE MEETINGS IN SAY…..LONDON OR WINDSOR OR ANYWHERE IN CANADA ? I AM A SEVERELY " NORMAL " CANADIAN THAT IS BEING DRAINED OF EVERY CENT OF DISPOSABLE INCOME ( ESPECIALLY ONTARIANS LIKE MYSELF ) MY APOLOGIES TO ALL THE REBEL STAFF…… BUT SERIOUSLY….A CRUISE ???? GOTTA SAY THAT I AM MORE THAN A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!

Leviticus asked, “How is the Canadian taxpayers federation funded…?
Are they funded through the provincial or federal government or are they self funded through donations and charity organizations…”

The latter. She mentioned that the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is funded through donations from about 90,000 supporters across Canada (2:20 to 2:30 and 4:00 to 5:00)

The Canadian taxpayers federation should have authoritative say in the administration process of both federal and provincial governments… They should be an independent entity that answers to the people and controls and regulates the overreach of ambitious politicians…
With the reign of Justin Trudeau this exemplifies now more than ever why there has to be protection written into the Constitution for the people who become disillusioned theough the failures of their elected representatives.
Whining pissing bitching moaning and complaining ain’t doing nothing to remove Justin and his incompetent cabinet who spendthrift ways and obvious financial choices that are detrimental to the progression of this great nation.
How is the Canadian taxpayers federation funded…?
Are they funded through the provincial or federal government or are they self funded through donations and charity organizations…
