Candice Malcolm: Young conservatives have to be fearless and unashamed

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

In this in-depth conversation, Sun columnist and Rebel contributor Candice Malcolm tells us how she moved from working in government to becoming a journalist.

I ask her how she got interested in politics, and how she gets the courage to talk frankly about sensitive topics like immigration, diversity and multiculturalism in her books like "Losing True North".

Candice got her start as the press secretary to Conservative Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, an experience that made her even more conservative in her views.

She then moved into journalism and communications, working at the Sun News Network and the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

While there, she wrote her first book, "Generation Screwed", which has inspired many young people to push back against big government and its benefits Ponzi schemes.

I ask her for her advice for these young conservatives and libertarians who want to fight for their ideals.

Outstanding interview with a real young Rebel!
Alone with Fearless, I’d recommend young activists also do the work to become knowledgeable and articulate.

Cameron you mean like that Hillary ad where she lied about what Trump said?

@ The Rebel

I tend to agree with Ivo and Rita.

The login in process is a real pain and should be combined into one login for both comments and premium content.

In addition, article page from which you logged in should return you back to the same page. That can easily be accomplished by creating a login that calls a DIV container located in the page footer. That one login would then supply the username and password for the two separate servers.

Rebel, shall I build it for you?

RITA LIDDLE I agree, not having the comments on the same server is painful and far from user friendly. As I am a subscriber of the Rebels I would like to encourage them to streamline the whole login procedure for the subscriber content as well as for the comments.

@ Cameron Robock

Can you elaborate?

Who is it that you are suggesting is “spreading false news”?

And what news is it that is being spread that you believe to be false?

Spreading false news

181 Every one who wilfully publishes a statement, tale or news that he knows is false and that causes or is likely to cause injury or mischief to a public interest is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.

Sorry, your blog would have to be the most userUNfriendly blog in cyberspace. Pity, because the quality of what you offer is good. But I have “registered” ages ago, each time I visit one of your contributions, I get pushed around, told that I’m not logged in, asked to become a Prime Member etc. By the time I finally manage to log in, I lost the place where I wanted to comment and my Blood Pressure is up. I certainly will not join your premium subscription – because each time I finally manage to log in, I lost all interest.
I have put this same complaint in several times – no answer.
I have never been a Robinson Crusoe in my life, so I imagine that this irritating impossibility of navigate your site must also happen to others and I would suggest that you lose lots of potential subscribers.
Pity.

They must also be steady, unshakable, absolutely determined and ready to sacrifice.

- The Liberals don’t care about refugees. They’re bringing in tens of thousands of fake refugees while ignoring the plight of real refugees like the Yazidis (they’re bring in 50 of them & only then after enormous pressure was placed on them.)
