Fact-checking the Public Service Alliance anti-Harper attack ad

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

The Public Service Alliance of Canada insists their new anti-Conservative attack ad is "fact based," but that's only true if you buy into big labour's worldview.

For instance: Veteran's Offices weren't "closed," they were integrated into other Service Canada offices. Besides saving money, this actually made veteran's services available to more people.

And those new EI rules aren't really that onerous, such as mandating that recipients accept jobs even if they are an hour away from their homes. Don't millions of Canadians already commute that far each day, if not more so?

This union has a vested interest in keeping government as big as possible. We've already seen factually challenged big labour attack ads from Engage Canada and UNIFOR.

And of course, they're legally allowed to spend millions more dollars in campaign ads than the political parties are.

I have worked with PSAC members and they were always pretty lazy bunch.

A little bit of self serving propaganda, perhaps?

These Public Service Ads’ are all nothing but BS!
Nonsense from leeches who want to suck more blood like the Obama Bots in the States! They want to bring us down to that Marxist level!

You had to know the attack ads from the Unions were coming because up until about a month ago they were running ads about how they are a part of everyones life and how great they are. These unions are nothing more than grease balls living off the backs of others. They are a cancer, they attach themselves to the host until the host dies thus killing the cancer itself.

Nobody killed more private sector union jobs than the NDP in BC in the 90s . . . except maybe the McGuinty/Wynn Liberals in Ontario in the last decade.
When do these folks wake up? Their leaders, who spend their dues money foolishly, all while receiving huge salaries and still spouting the same nonsense they repeated in the 70s and 80s . . .
Look around the world . . . any Union jobs in Greece these days? Soon Spain, Italy, Portugal and France are going to be in the same boat. Be very glad you live in Canada with the best PM in the last 40 years.

You can tell the LL ( loonie left ) are fighting for their base vote because as we get closer to the election Canadians will be looking at Alberta’s NDP government and they are turning back to the conservative government lead by the best Prime Minister we have had in years Stephen Harper.
Today as I was shopping I was talking to an old commie he was so anti Harper it was funny He was harkening back to Martin budgets I had to tell him how Martin manage to have a balanced budget by high taxes and that the Conservative have brought in a balanced budget this year after enduring the worst recession in decades.

It should be illegal for unions to be involved in politics period.

I’ve tried calling radio stations to disapprove of propaganda advertising from Engage. Only Harvard responded to my calls and assured they are approved therefore must be fact based or they would be open to lible or slander lawsuits. Which begs the question. Why aren’t they sued? Why doesn’t Ezra sue Toronto star for lying since he was sued for telling the truth

“right to work” is law in over half the US states – and it’s coming to Canada.

As a result, unions’ only way to slow this process is to get the nazi’s elected (liberal or ndp, whichever is less stupid) and create MOAR gridlock lefty legislation.

When deflation picks up, unions will be in the fight of their life. Remember, Stronach who used to run Magna offered unions to come in on one condition, no strikes – unions turned down Magna.

So much for standing up for workers’ rights.

Public Sector Unions are the Trojan Horse of Canada . . .
Look at what the Unions got for Ontar-i – owe in the last election . . . today they are reaping the benefits, the only sector growing is “Govt Union Workers” . . . the private sector is a mess. And the provincial debt . . . out of control !

In one way the PC party is responsible for allowing this. What did you think would happen when you allow unions to place political ads? Legislation should have been put in place to restrict non party advertising, especially using money derived from people who may not support the policy.

I am a Veteran’s Affairs retiree. Right now more than 80% of VACs clients are widows over the age of 80 who live in seniors residences and who’s only need to contact the department is an annual role call and notification of change of address.

The next largest service traffic is Blue Cross coverage information and problem resolution done over the phone.

My last years at Veterans Affairs were stressful and in large part that was due to the efforts of Peter Stoffer…who actually helped no veteran I could name but made the day to day business of serving the veterans all but impossible through a hypervigilant, micro managing, absurd application of ATIPP. I was not even permitted to look up obituaries on the internet to determine if a client had died.

I cannot imagine why my collegues would look forward to a day when he would be their boss.

But Tara…there are too many pawns…who are enslaved by lies…who don’t care to question their manipulators.

No surprises here. I was a member of the PSAC for 29 years. The leadership have always been lying weasels and it looks like nothing has changed. Despicable SOBs! ( and that’s just me being nice )

Boy these unions are sure afraid they’re going to start having to be accountable to their members if Harper forms government again. I certainly hope that fear becomes reality in Oct.

F U PSAC. My union dues pay for this crap. Cant wait to see the books! When is the right to work legislation going to get passed? I support my union, CIU, but not PSAC with their kindergarten antics.

Public Service Alliance of Canada is imposing the entitlements of a group of privileged employees over the rest of working men and women and will do so to the extent of taking ownership of the very state institutions they are working for, if unchecked.
This is why they put this ad up, not the care for Canada’s future. And please do not compare nor confuse this association with the trade unions.
From this perspective it is a reactionary wolf dressed in a liberal fur feeding on the rest of the taxpayers. In absence of a Public Service Employee’s Code of Ethics Law to held them and their Alliance responsible, is not much that can be done to protect us, the rest of taxpayers to be treated as sheep. We simply do not have the time while working in insecure jobs for much less money and harder than the public employees.

Time out from the attack ad story and lets turn this around and put the spot-light on The Rebel Media, Ezra Levant and the lack of trustworthiness in today’s Corporate News Media: https://youtu.be/IZhqyK0wc1s

These ads should be charged to the NDP allowance for ads.
