Fake Twitter account factors into Gregory Elliot's character in court ruling, fools Rhichochet co-founder

A fake Twitter account factored into Greg Elliott's character despite being found not guilty.

Genuine Witty points out that the judge stated four separate times that Elliott had made homophobic comments. These comments had in fact come from a fake account.

The fake account (@greg_a_eliott) tweeted, “Enjoy your AIDS, #TOpoli faggots”. Elliott's real Twitter handle is @greg_a_elliott. The fake account has only one L.

In total, the fake account only had 24 posts and had most likely been created to damage Elliott's reputation.

Despite the homophobic tweet since being deleted, it was forwarded and commented on by someone with the handle @tapesonthefloor.

In addition, Ethan Cox, co-founder of ultra radical left-wing site Rhichochet.ca, believed the tweet came from the real Elliott too in this screen grab.

Genuine Witty explains how the fake tweets ended up as evidence.

“Toronto Police Det Banglid used a social media tool named Sysomos to gather-up the defendant and formerly alleged victim’s tweets, Sysomos has real weaknesses as a forensic tool as it can’t collect tweets that have been deleted or from protected accounts.

The judge used the fact that “Elliott’s” homophobic tweet wasn’t picked-up by Sysomos as evidence of the software’s lack of reliability for the purpose for which it was used. He seems to be right about that, it’s hard to justify only collecting half of the evidence, but it appears that he failed to realize this tweet was a fake.”

So far, there has been no comment on this by Elliott or the judge. Let's hope this situation is rectified.

Wow, the lengths they’ll go to. Pure slime!! And they see themselves as justice warriors huh?? I hope Greg can find the strength to go after them. He, in my humble opinion, needs to forget about “getting his old life back”. That’s not truly possible. Life has handed him a new course. Better to run with it . . . .

Planting actionable statements under a false ID is one of the oldest tricks in the SJW’s online arsenal. These people are treacherous and venal and when you confront them you always have to watch your back.
