Final thoughts on the Conservative Party convention — and The Rebel’s promise to you

Rebel Staff

The Conservative Party convention in Vancouver is wrapping up. TheRebel.media team was there, and we'll continue to post more interviews.

For now, I want to sum up what I saw and heard.

The people I met were more optimistic than I thought they'd be, less demoralized after the loss to the Liberals.

But there is a lot of talk about compromising traditional conservative values in order to win.

Here at TheRebel.media, we don't compromise.

WATCH for my promise to you, as our coverage of the Tories continues.

MR. KOKES

Under the circumstances I described, no one will pay the debt because the means will not exist (income) nor the will. (Personal and political) Why should individuals pay for a debt which, realistically, cannot be paid off? If one looks at Greece, it’s an enormous disaster, but no one considers that they have a responsibility toward the debt. The people believe it was corrupt politicians who lied about the health of the Greek economy, awarded massive social program spending, and, in all likelihood, those same politicians were on the take, awarding themselves nice bonuses and allowances. The people believe they were rooked by criminal politicians, so they are not responsible. The current government, however, says the people must bear Greece’s debt burden because they are Greeks. But are the politicians themselves bearing their share of the burden. Well, not really. They still have their healthy salaries, their expenses covered, and all the trappings of their stately offices. So, you responsibility is it to bear the debt burden. Honestly, no one wants to bear it for good reasons. The citizens were lied to by shifty politicians, and the current generation of politicians don’t want to because it’s someone else’s problem and not theirs. All the politicians can do is take away all the social programs and demand insanely high taxes on those who still have jobs.

So, Greece is allowed to borrow some funds on credit, but the national economy is completely broken and it will only get worse. State properties are being sold off a bargain basement prices. Lands, buildings, everything is up for sale. Even Greek sovereignty is disregarded as the country is being treated as a depository for refugees from everywhere.

Taking Greece as a templet, you have to ask yourself who in their right mind would even consider paying their share of the debt, if no one else is willing, all the while everyone else is raping and shitting all over your country? You will throw your arms in the air and say, “Fuck this bullshit.”

Well said Bill. Not sure how we got to the point of equality for all, with it being equality for some more than the rest of us. Hopefully there is an element of truth that, “The more left the government goes, the more right the people go.” I am hoping that this all just temporary insanity and with any luck the SJW kiddy millennials that voted for doofus (aka his scary handler Butts) are in need of the next 4 to 8 years in the real world to discover what Junior has in store for them, … or maybe not as the mind wash conversion appears to be complete and effective so far. Save for another WW the young are too comfortable, times of peace makes men complacent and weak. Pamela Geller has so aptly stated that “we are living on the fumes of the last WW.”

The “useful idiot” may be right that the CPC “will lose anyway”, if they don’t compromise and shun their traditional conservative values. Doing otherwise, however, will ensure its demise.. But, I would rather see the CPC go down fighting for traditional conservative values rather than wimping out by compromising on those values.

Oh I know what you are saying Cunth, it just doesn’t sit well with me to carry such debt. In my generation, we spent when we had the money. In my generation we paid our debts. In my generation we did for ourselves. And my generation do not appreciate spoiled politicians spending money they never earned or learned to have value for. One cannot continually give to everyone who cries foul without some consequences

Don’t give up Jack, the silent old stock Canadian just needs to get out there and be heard and if enough us do who knows what we can collectively achieve. We’ll take to the streets if we have to.

Exactly what I said – No one is going to pay for this.

Canada, the country and the provinces, all the debt holders, will not be able to borrow anymore at a favourable rate. The rate will have to be higher to reflect the risk. But since a higher rate is an indicator of dangerous risk – lenders, pension funds, institutional lenders, etc – will just cut Canada off. No more credit. Canada defaults and all debts will be set aside and will be assigned a zero value.

Of course, all those public service pension funds will be wiped out (unionized employees get screwed) and maybe some Canadian banks will take a massive hit, causing them to fail. (What’s left will just be bought up by a bigger bank from somewhere.) But the big smack is that Canada, and all its governments, will not be able to borrow for a very, very long time. Asset values will crash, along with the CDN$, which is effectively a huge discount on Canadian assets for foreign buyers. But in a larger sense, the all Canada will stop working and no one will be paid. The whole country will be out of work. 35 million Canadians unemployed.100% unemployment. Maybe people can work for free, just to keep things going. But what happens when stuff starts breaking? What if assets need to be replaced?

Capital works projects will be hit. So will infrastructure. There’s nothing that will not be affected at some point. Government funding for a variety of things will be gone.

The government can just order the Bank of Canada to start printing money. It’ll be worthless money, of course, because there’s no security to back up the currency.

Are you kidding me, you say this and then ramble on about the debt all provinces are carrying. Eventually, the middle class taxpayer ends up paying for it all. And thanks to Trudunce, the future generations of taxpayers will be paying. Yes, we will end up with a lower credit rating but all that means is that we have to pay even more.

I have to laugh at the value the gullible electorate put on issues like phony inequity of gays or trannies or minorities or women or climate/environment paranoia – when all these issues are either fallaciously over inflated or non issues at all. These are irrelevant polemics meant to polarize society and pit one group against another and have all these warring groups begging for big brother to get bigger and lend them his hammer of the leviathan state to smite down their perceived ideological enemies.

The sad fact of modern politics and mass media narratives is that none of these issue is the responsibility of government to intervene in personal choice and personal attitudes – we have one main law which says that all are equal under the law – however this very societal polemic clambering for big brother’s extra graces to elevate one group over its peers with “special entitlements” or extra government influence is an open repudiation of the concept of equality.

The only place most of the current popular social injustices exist only in the mind of the proponent – put there by the narrative spinners under direction of the power elite. Constant social “struggle” ( where none is needed) makes big brother seem like a necessity of life – but for every synthetic social injustice they “correct” a little more of true equality is surrender along with its freedoms and liberty to a growing leviathan state.

It seems that PET’s ideal about creeping statism – that the state does not belong in the nation’s bedrooms has been abandoned. The state is now in your bedroom, living room, bathroom, family room, garage, school room, church, food chain, and life support systems.

Any state capable of giving you utopia is powerful enough to also give you hell on earth – but most will go blissfully to the reeducation centers to render their soul and free thought as long as state entitlements await them after their mind washing.

No one is going to pay for this.

Right now, the left in Canada, which is pretty much in every province (surprisingly not in BC) are running up the debts in their respective jurisdictions. If Ontario can do it with $300 billion, Alberta will try for $150 to $200 billion. Quebec is more modest (also surprising) but you get the idea. It’s a race for the bottom. At some point, as has been said, the “other people’s money” runs out. What this means is that debt held by Canadian governments drops below investment grade – BBB or less rating. It effectively becomes junk. To maintain borrowing at a less than investment grade level, interest rates must rise to reflect the risk of default. But who’s going to continue to lend money to these guys? Vulture capitalists, probably.

But the best part is that government debt is held by, in many cases, by union pension funds. Ooops! These were the guys that put these governments in power. Now the pensions are fried. This is what justice looks like.

If I would have seen your comments even a few weeks ago about the cesspool Canada has become and your preference for Texas, I would have been all over you like ugly on a dog.

However, in light of the Metis settlement and the billions and billions this is going to cost on top of the billions already pledged to status Indians and refugees, for the first time in my life I have contemplating moving out of Canada. Gets to the point where I can no longer manage the left control of our media and the Supreme Court decisions in my mind. And of course the left has not built a business model behind all those initiatives where it has become an industry of it’s own. Who is going to pay for all of this?

Of course they will support them just as all of Canada must support the oil and gas industry. However, we must address the elephant in the room and admit that human activity is creating global warming and contaminating our lands and waters. We need to seek a responsible balance between economic viability, environment sustainability and social justice.

You went to Huffpo for that?

Are you aware that Huffpo is the biggest sack of disinformation and out-right lies going? I suppose you actually believe that 35% of women will be raped every day because that’s what happens in North America, because they have a rape culture? I know this because you read it in Huffpo, and you believe everything you read in it. (And Pakistan is a beacon of tolerance, too.)

It’s nice to know that you are that easy to convince. Who needs the overhead of fact-checkers, journalists who have ethics, and truth? When there are twits like you who believe everything they read in Huffpo, fantasy becomes fact just like that.

Nope. Actually the numbers were inflated for Houston Pride. The lesbian mayor’s office were co-organizers (Why is the mayor helping organize an event? She never ceased to amaze how nuts she could be.) and it is well known that they deliberately skewed the numbers to give the mayor’s H.E.R.O. initiative a air of wider support. The mayor was defeated and her destructive initiatives have been rolled back.

And Houston Pride has been moved to the downtown core. Why?

Was it because of the noise, public drunkenness, violence against counter-demonstrations? Was it because the revealers, an enormous number of whom came from outside of Houston from parts unknown, vandalized public property? Or was it because Houston’s lesbian mayor tried to make the event a forceful demonstration of her influence in an election year? In any case, the event will be in the downtown, because – shockers – the numbers of actually attendees was deliberately inflated by the lesbian mayor’s office.

Got anymore Canadian stupid thoughts about what’s going on in Texas? Really. Keep going. The laughs are amazing.

Ooooooooooo…when you’re stuck for the thought, just blurt out “hate”, “racist”, and “asshole”. Nice to see you’re sticking to the well-used playing card.

The reality is that the Progressivist-Sodomites are a club of perverts and crazies determined to fuck everyone over for the sake of fucking everyone over. They believe they are revolutionaries, reformers, and social-justice-warriors; but really they are a bunch of unemployable malcontents, who have made a ton of bad decisions over the course of their lives, and they are looking for someone to dump their filthy crap on. In other words, their motivation is to fuck everyone over. So, they will accept $15.00/hr to carry a sign and spout crazy bullshit. Thanks, George Soros.

The truth is, horrors, you have to work for your shit. Yes. When you go to school, learn something that will actually be useful. And I don’t mean blogging. Learn a skill, study the sciences, mathematics (even basic) and get a fucking job that is …

1) Useful

2) Actually produces something of value

3) Has a credible market value that will grow over time

4) Allows opportunities for skills improvements and enhanced education

Women’s Studies doesn’t do this.

Neither does social work.

Nor does the field of study that makes one something called a “facilitator”.

And blogging is not a job. It’s really shooting your mouth off about opinions that you haven’t done enough to earn.

And another thing … you have to find people you can get along with. That means if you can’t stand where you live, and the people who live there, find another place more to your liking. For me, it’s Texas. For you, it’s likely Zimbabwe or North Korea.

Living in Texas, I can be everything I want to be and having anything I want. The rewards are enormous – if you’re willing to work for them – and the living is great. The only rule you have to pay attention to in Texas is don’t live on a floodplain. It seems some people still haven’t caught on.

You go around any part of Texas and there are billboards counting down the end of the “Obama Regime”.

I understand Canadians want to believe that the whole world is socialist, and they get up in the pants if they find out otherwise. There is a word for that sort of thinking – it’s called dementia.

As for the so called Pride events in certain cities in Texas, they occur, but they are, by and large, small events. They are tightly controlled and much of the perverted behavior that Toronto’s Pride celebration is known for is not allowed. In fact, such behaviour caused the event in Dallas to be banned until the organizers cleaned up their act. "

Billboards? They’re more an indication of well funded special interest groups than any sort of mass movement. Sorry bud, but Texas doesn’t sound nearly as conservative as you make it out to seem. Obama’s 42% in Texas in 2012 is higher than Trudeau’s 39% last year. LOL. Waving your gun around doesn’t make it a conservative paradise (see how long you get away with doing that before the cops take you down) Four counties have refused to grant gay marriage licenses … but more than 200 have not. If they’re fighting it, they’re not putting up much of a fight.

Dementia is memory loss.

Houston Pride had 700k attendees last year, “small” indeed. http://www.chron.com/entertainment/article/Pride-Houston-says-over-700K-attended-weekend-6356321.php
