Laura Miller, former Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty's deputy chief of staff, is trying to crowdsource her legal defense funds.
She, along with McGuinty's former chief of staff, David Livingston, were charged last month with breach of trust and mischief over the deletion of emails relating to the Liberal's decision to cancel two gas plants just before the 2011 election. The gas plant cancellations cost tax payers $1.1 billion.

The two hired Peter Faist to wipe clean hard drives in the premier's office.
Miller's defense fund has reached 29% of its goal at the time of this posting.
BC: Another provincial Liberal party, another "deleted email" scandal
Former deputy Ontario premier Dwight Duncan donated $500 and posted the following message. “Please accept this contribution to your legal defence as reaffirmation of my view that you have been wrongly accused. I have always known you to be a person of great integrity who has committed her life to public service.”

She has also received several anonymous donations of at least $1,500.
Amusingly, one anonymous donor gave $1 in order to post this message: “Dalton and everyone involved in this liberal government should be imprisoned. It was unbelievable what happened with our taxpayer dollars. It's now unbelievable yet again that certain people who were on staff are resorting to this.”
