Fox News more trusted than Obama on global warming

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

A poll by St. Leo University near Tampa, Florida is sure to raise some eyebrows, it shows more Americans trust Fox News Channel on the issue of global warming than trust President Barack Obama.

That's not the worst of it for champions of the green orthodoxy, it turns out very few Americans, Republicans or Democrats think climate change is the biggest issue their country faces.

Asked to rate the top issue facing America today, 28% said jobs and the economy followed by government spending and the federal budget deficit in second place at 18%. Climate change ranked in the 8th spot with 3% calling it the most important issue, just ahead of gun control, chosen by 2%.

As for who to believe on climate change, Fox News was chosen by 17% as a reliable source of information compared with just 11% that chose President Obama. Non-government scientists and educators were the most reliable sources, chosen by 45% of poll respondents, environmental groups ranked second with 33% choosing them as a reliable source.

Asked what is causing climate change, just 16% said they believed it was only human activity with 61% believing it to be a combination of human activity and nature.

The poll of 1,016 adults was conducted from March 15-19 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.0% 19 times out of 20.

My great grandfather was the executive secretary of the Nova Scotia Separatist Party which later became the federal Liberal Party ..at which point he quit. He ghost wrote many of the speeches for which Joseph Howe became noteworthy for delivering. He was a vanguard blogger…a pamphleteer… who used the moniker “Will the Ranter of Craiglee” …back then ranting meant political speeches and pamphlets and was not a maligned word….so I acquire this as honestly as a genetic predisposition to diabetes….I know it’s not good for me and it will probably shorten my life…but I honestly can’t help it.

Wether or not global warming is good science is debatable……wether or not taxation will fix it is not good science…it is BULLSHIT.

Back to great grandad…he was part of the organizing of two referenda on Nova Scotia separatism that won by large majority but were ignored. He also did surveys and referenda on what should be the official language of Nova Scotia because English was rivalled by Gaelic and German….Jock Craig (Will the Ranter) spoke Gaelic, English, and passable French and German. In one discussion on the merits of which language was most clearly understood he remarked that there were two words in the English language that were more clearly understood than any other two words in any other language…

That once you had invoked them you would never be required to repeat yourself….to expand upon what it was you meant…nor to explain what it was that prompted you to say those two words…..those two words being….F*CK OFF…..:-)

Thanks for that link to the too-short Dyson interview. Very refreshing perspective!
I had a thought to Google ‘Dyson on chem trails’…I found this:
“… Drawing on a 1975 U.S. Navy patent for a “contrail generation apparatus for producing a powder contrail having maximum radiation scattering ability… to generate… reflective screens for any desired purpose” and a 1979 proposal by physicist Freeman Dyson to spread fine reflective particles into the upper atmosphere to offset Global Warming, Teller called for a billion-dollar-a-year protective chemical “sunscreen” to be spread across a fragile space colony called Earth. [Foreign Policy In Focus Feb 20/07; Wall Street Journal Oct 17/97]…"

Of course climate change is real. That’s what climates do!! Always have done, always will do… for just as long as this planet lasts. Does human activity have an affect on the climate? Yeah, probably. We have such a large foot print on the planet, we’re bound to have some affect. So do Mountains, Desserts, Forests, Oceans, Ice Fields, Caribou and Wildebeest Farts, etc., etc., etc. But Climate Alarmism is a huge business, and a politically correct business. Al Gore and David Suzuki are doing pretty good for themselves. And as far as Fox News being more trusted than Obama, is that a surprise? Does anyone trust Obama anymore?

FACT – Even the U.N. agrees that there has been no measurable increase in global average temperatures in over 18 years
FACT – There has been no appreciable increase in ocean levels that cannot be attributed to other factors.
FACT – There has been no actual linkage made between a rise in Co levels and a rise in global average temperatures. In fact over the last 18 years, though the Co levels have marginally increased there has been no increase in average global temperatures.
FACT – There has been no increase in either the number or the power of tropical storms over the last 25 years that does not fall within cyclical variations.

Global warming is a scam that is costing us billions of dollars and now we have that dullard in the White House enforcing his personal agenda at the expense of his nation and the industrialized world.

As previously stated by The Rebel Staff, some time ago, Global Warming is big business.

ANONYMOUS, thank you for the posted link for the interview with Physicist Freeman Dyson. Below, I had mentioned that countries around the globe going along with this by gearing up for the UN’s climate conference, scheduled for Paris in December to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, was evidence of “global insanity”. In that light, I was struck by this eminent theoretical physicist and mathematician declaring, “The fact is that carbon dioxide is so beneficial in other ways that it would be crazy to try to reduce it”.
When you go to the web page for the Paris 2015 Climate Change Conference
it immediately opens with a video where various voices, men, women and children, speak of grim catastrophes ahead if we don’t do something:
- “We’re all under threat.”
- “Today we know, that because of our activities the climate is out of kilter.”
- “The planet is warming.”
- “Species are disappearing.”
- “Sea levels are rising.”
- “Men and women are driven out of their home because they have no more food, drinking water or arable land.”
Who produced this fear-mongering propaganda? Al Gore?

Anonymous, I am so glad you posted that link! Al Gore, David Suzuki and the rest, eat your heart out. I don’t do social media, but I am sending this to my kids to spread around. It is one of the more informative and balanced bits I’ve information I have seen.
Physicist Freeman Dyson, amazing. Very interesting what he has to say about climate models and weather, ( I would so love to see Suzuki interview him on that cbc show he has , is that still on. Quacks and Tarts?, or Dr. Who in the U.S., shows we allowed our kids to be brought up on! )

That petition is pretty impressive Peter M. But, but, Al and Suzuki say definitively, that that scientists agree, that the computer models are indisputable. There is consensus don’t you know. I guess Suzuki would have them all jailed if he had his way.

Hasn’t the whole global baloney sham been thoroughly disproved by now? Obama and ilk will continue to shill for it long after its days are done.

The climate change hysteria is but one of the vehicles for transforming our country from strong and free to totalitarian, and bankrupt in every way. I like strong and free. It makes me sick that Trudeau, and everyone left of him are so dead set on taking this country down. I just don’t get it. The ramifications of a liberal win make me heart sick.

One thing that all I believe can agree on is that the climate won’t stay locked into a specific pattern, it will always change as it has throughout the planet’s history. That being said, the climate will either warm or cool. Personally, I prefer warming as a warmer climate is a significant factor in the the growth, health and prosperity of human settlement.
Unfortunately, it appears as if we are headed for a cool down. The central reason for this is that CO2 levels always follow a warming period rather than lead it. CO2 levels are rising. Keeping in mind that there are a host of other factors that impact our overall climate such as sun activity, earth wobble and many other undiscovered impacts, I really hope that the cool down, if it occurs, will be brief.
Living in Canada, I am much more concerned with losing a week out of the growing season (which would eliminate certain crops in various areas of the nation) than gaining a week.

Politics, politics… seems very few people deal in cold, hard, raw data anymore. For those of you old enough, remember the hype about global cooling and the coming ice age? It was even taught in schools in the 70s (I was a student then). Then the panic over the holes in the ozone over the polar caps… anyone heard anything about THAT lately? It’s only been 10+ years since that was the scare of the year… now it’s been global warming (sorry, “climate change”!), with all the data manipulation that’s been brought out with it… Glad to see the vast majority of Americans don’t see it as a problem. Likely, the vast majority of Canadians agree with them, but you’d never know it from the reports coming from CBC, CTV, and the like… Politics…

The UN’s IPCC report admits that temperatures haven’t increased for 18 years in a row, despite rising levels of CO2! Presumably that has a lot to do with their deft change in terminology from “Global Warming”, with implied warming as a result of greenhouse gas emissions, to “Climate Change”. The supposed “global warming”, for which there is NO evidence despite rising levels of CO2 requires nations, according to the U.N, to make commitments to cut greenhouse gas emissions, even though there is no evidence to support such a theory. And yet countries continue to go along with this global insanity, gearing up for UN’s climate conference scheduled for Paris in December which is supposed to result in a post-2020 global agreement on cutting greenhouse gas emissions? The emperor has no clothes! With respect to the Canadian government offering a “viable alternative”, how about stepping away from this politically-correct global insanity?

The Sun is about 1,500,000 times larger in volume than the earth. If you measured your foot (about 10 inches), the Sun`s equivalent would be a `foot`that is 240 miles long. The Sun controls our climate. Amazing that you have to dig around on youtube to find a vid that explains this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPhC1mPLxww, but you can find a ton of invented garbage about warming. Now the puke is climate change – of course the climate changes.

that’s because they don’t have a Suzuki to not trust, oops I forgot al gore I think he is busy putting together a power point presentation about aliens taking over the world (cost you $500.00 for a ticket)
