Why Lauren Southern needs to get married — and the secret to “The Trailer Park Boys” popularity

Gavin McInnesRebel Commentator

Happy Canada Day, eh? I want to talk about my Rebel colleague Lauren Southern. Being a dad means I feel protective of young women, so I hated watching her getting attacked in London. (I also want her to get married.) Hear my theory about why the Left acts this way now.

I’m a big fan of "Trailer Park Boys." Actually, I’m a connoisseur, and my favourite character is Mr. Lahey. I talk to the actor who plays him, John Dunsworth. He has a uniquely Canadian way of seeing the world and has a great theory about why the show is so popular. (But my theory is better...)

PLUS I take your calls!

Gavin’s right about cable being on the way out. The internet is a real opportunity for the real news media. I actually got rid of cable just a couple of weeks ago.

I’m not a big sports guy, so that wasn’t an issue for keeping it until now. TV shows weren’t really keeping me, as I am still able to watch them through other means. The one thing actually keeping me with cable until now (I’m 34 now) has been news and current events shows.

I found that the news on US stations, and especially Canadian stations (CBC), to be increasingly, and extremely left wing, pro-globalist and, pro-mass-immigration. I think they are totally out of touch with Canadians, and reality.

I really did not want to be supporting these channels through my cable fees. The day I got rid of cable I subscribed to The Rebel. I feel much better about supporting the real Canadian news media!

Oh man – you got me so pissed off watching this stuff. Got me mad the first time but seeing it all strung together …

So many beat-downs required I don’t even know where to begin.

AAAAAAARHHH!

If you think Lauren Southern is “rather plain” then clearly you prefer boys. Nothing to be ashamed of Jay , providing they are not children. Because that would be illegal. Twisted ,twisted.

Lauren Southern described herself as “dowdy” during the last election campaign. I think she meant that compared with the Liberal candidate and other women in public office she came off as rather plain.

There is no reason for Lauren Southern to be ashamed of her appearance.

Maybe the difference is that a Conservative girl has Values and Respects herself and is the type of girl that any red blooded Canadian boy would like to bring home and introduce to his Parents.
The Liberal Girls
- not so much—— It is all about them , and their Feelings and their Freedom.
Not the type of girl that you want to bring home.

" Why are liberal women so darn ugly"
Maybe because they can’t decide which gender they are. I said it before and I’ll say it again, a little lipstick, mascara and a decent haircut would go a long way. Some heels couldn’t hurt either. Any women who carries herself well and has at least the three essentials listed above, can pull herself out of the ‘ugly’ patch. But if you are ugly on the inside it won’t make any difference. Ultra feminism makes liberal women ‘so darn ugly’. Feminazis look like their name.

My husband was in the Trailer Park movie 2 , he was the guard in the tower. He wanted to get paid with pepperoni and smokes, Sarah thought that was funny.

Mike Bell: Yeah, she great, isn’t she? Sigh …. But Gavin’s point about conservative women versus liberal women is well taken – why ARE liberal women so darn … ugly, in comparison at least? Is it a symptom of their liberal illness or does the causation go the other way (so unlucky in the looks dept. translates to a liberal mindset)?

Who was that hot Asian guy? Does he have a show?

I remember Chretien joking that he only speaks out of one side of his mouth.

In regard to Justin, I’ve discovered a new saying. There are a thousand inklings in a clue and he doesn’t even have an inkling

Zack S, you may be joking but in fact you raise an good point. Is Lauren eligible for marriage? Is she open to it?
commented 2016-07-02 00:55:36 -0400
Having seen a few of Lauren’s videos over the last few weeks I have to say she’s definitely got marriage potential. It’s funny because I was actually thinking that the other night, as I’m looking to get married soon myself, and today you mention it on your segment. I missed the call-in part of the program but I wanted to ask you how we can get a dialogue going about it. I’m guessing you’d want to vet me first, eh pops?

It always grabs my attention when some idiot sees blond hair and reflexively spouts the “blond bimbo” epithet. Right up there with “dirty old man.” In my family we have three generations of blonds, none of whom are bimbos. I’m pushing 60, and I’m a hell of a lot cleaner than I was 4 decades ago.

Nice piece, Gavin McInnes. Lauren Southern went off to Europe to cover some important issues, and I suspect it cost The Rebel big bucks. She was amateurish, as you know, but her playful role put her in actual danger.

The money would have been better spent in Canada. There are serious issues here which she could have covered.

For one thing, The Rebel needs to address what it is to be a Muslim Canadian. Consistently since Confederation we have had about 4-5% Muslim population. Why should we turn on this minority now? Who are the Muslims in Canada today?

Lauren Southern could have addressed these questions. She could ask Canadians their opinions and come to some conclusions. Going to Europe and being leered at seems a poor use of resources.

I have known John Dunsworth since the 1960’s and what he said about swearing and pain management is really quite insightfull.

Christ was a carpenter….and I have often wondered what he said when he hit himself in the thumb with a hammer………:-)
