German ambassador's criticism of Canada's oil sands leaves out his country's unethical energy use

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The German ambassador to Canada has a lot of nerve criticizing our oil sands to a writer for the CBC.

For one thing, Germany is heavily reliant on coal, which isn't exactly environmentally superior.

But then there's Germany's massive consumption of Russian, Iranian and OPEC conflict oil...

Robert – As a conservative PM, you know as well as I, that the left are looking for any way to discredit this man. The left are incensed that they are not in power and control. It truly sickens me watching their immature, and childish responses, to anything reasonable that Harper says or does. It is the Rob Ford syndrome, and I can not believe they are not charged with harassment. I am grateful that we have a stable and productive economy under Harper, but if the left win, and they do stand a good chance, do to all the lies and ridiculous insinuations they make daily about Harper. I am so glad that I do not have the disease of gimme, gimme, socialism. It will be the death of our society, and the world.

Just another European trying to deflect their ongoing problems of immigration, debt crisis, inertia, internal strife, Fifa, failed green energy policies, Islamic takeover, and every other F***ing problem onto Canada. Why not blame Madagascar, Easter Island or the penguins in Antarctica? Because they would fight back, we instead promise an unrealistic reduction in “carbon” output that would cripple our economy and have us all living in tepees, except we wouldn’t be able to burn wood to warm ourselves. I wonder if the Germans or the IPCC have spoken to Japan about the recent volcanic eruption and the enormous amount of C02 released. Lights out in Tokyo must be warranted, forest fire in any national park, no lights except for the embers of the carbon releasing burnt trees. As Joe before me stated, the hypocrisy is astounding. With countries all tripping over themselves to be the most carbon neutral, who will win? Whose economy will collapse the fastest? What a race to be in!

More hypocrisy. Germany is Heavily dependent on hydrocarbon resources from Russia. Dependent on OPEC oil. It shut down its nuclear power plants after Fukushima. Currently reading the book “The Colder War” and it sure is an eye opener on Russia’s influence and control on global energy resources.

It depends if the ambassador was speaking for the German government or was giving a personal opinion. If it is the former I guess another friend is not happy with us. I imagine Rachel Notley will be paying close attention to all this.

Harper should step up to the plate and expel him immediately. My greatest disappointment with Harper is the way he’s allowed others like Obama, to attack the country over our oil sands, and not fought back. These eco terrorist outfits for hire, who are on the take of foreign money are another buch that should be dealt with severely.

As per Ezra’s other recent post about lying and deceiving journalists, even more annoying is the CBC going to a hypocritical foreign national to attack Canada. Somebody needs to have a talk with the German ambassador. If he gets sacked, there could be a job with the CBC.

Germany is not only 45% coal fired electricity, but its 25% Brown coal fired electricity.
Black coal burns as clear CO2 smoke, Brown coal produces that lovely black billowing smoke full of arsenic, fluorine, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and mercury.

Ezra should ask this silly ambassador how his formerly DDR, now co-citizens, are enjoying the now bankrupt green energy shambles they were saddled with, courtesy of brilliant pro enviro wackos like his own self.

Funny, seems we had a hand in stopping the Germans from trying to run the world around seventy years ago. Now they are telling us once again how to live, and they use brown coal! Good article Ezra.

Yep – connect the dots is the strategy of choice and has been for decades.

UN connected to Euro country connected to China connected to blah blah blah and this is where the bloviated opinion comes from – to server the agenda 3 or 4 degrees away.

It’s funny how the socialists euro pigs shame their “threats” into compliance – bunch of marshmallows.

How about that deflating euro trash economy?

Europeans. Do as we say, not as what WE have already done!

If Germany and Europe want a secure oil and gas supplier they better have their ambassador plead Canada to develop our energy resources and be willing to finance them or we’ll sell the oil to the highest bidder. If anyone has read my ideas about our development of the north then they know what I’ve been talking about.
