Guess why the same activists who protested Tim Horton's Enbridge ads said nothing about Gasprom's at FIFA game

Rebel Staff

The same environmental extremists who pressured Tim Hortons to drop Enbridge commercials had nothing to say about all the Gazprom ads we saw during the Edmonton FIFA game last weekend.

Why do these extremists target ethical oil and gas companies like Enbridge instead of those controlled by dictators?

The answer is simple, and sinister.

Hear what the head of NATO had to say about this sort of thing...

Tim Hortons has declared war on Canada’s energy industry.

Some of our weak minded lieberal friends think Vlad is a great guy . . . but this ex-KGB thug is able to run rampant on the globe today because of a feckless occupant in the White House. The guy that is still working on a plan to defeat ISIS after almost 2 years.
It was the Soviets that financed the “Peace Movement” in the 60s . . . and got all the non-thinkers on board. Today they are mining the Enviro-loons and a new generation of weak minds is only happy to comply. Why are our lieberal friends so friggin clueless? Exhibit A . . . Justin !

Peter Babich…..you are absolutely 100% right on. I have said this for a long time that, particularly Obama….there are countries out there who resent the fact that Canada is the perfect country with the perfect resources etc. and they are threatened. These countries are used to the Canada of old….the one where liberals ruled….the country who sat quietly in the background waiting to talk. Mr. Harper has brought a respectability to Canada that I have not seen in this country in my 50 years here….he is smart, assertive and not only fighting outside influences but the weak, bleeding heart lib types that permeate our country. These are the people who have, and will, hold Canada back and I firmly believe that envy is at the heart of it all. Obama desperately looking for a legacy for his failed presidency….the likes of Putin and other worldwide ‘bullies’ not accustomed to Canada fighting back and traitors like Suziki undermining him at every turn. I have full confidence that Mr. Harper will come out on top and Canadians need to get behind him. Our prosperity depends on it…..our pride depends on it….time to develop a backbone Canada.

Its more that FIFA wont listen to the wackos but they knew a linguini spined company like Tims would fold like a deck of cards.

Gary Wood, sorry if the truth hurts, maybe go to Russia and see how clean they are LOL. I work pipeline and have worked with Russian engineers, they have pictures that we use at the safety and enviro meetings to show what not to do. Russia is a mess.

I’m sure you have a point, Gary. I just don’t know what it is. How are you doing with that “Stroke” thing?

Ezra, you assume SumOfUs is even aware of the ads at the Women’s World Cup. Are they even aware of the soccer match? This is an American movement after all. If they were, who would they threaten? The corrupt FIFA, currently so mired in its own internal controversies? Should they boycott Edmonton, a city which they will doubtlessly never visit given its close proximity to the stinky oil sands? Tim Horton’s is an international brand, with easy access in both the States and Canada. FIFA and Edmonton, not so much.

Why? That’s simple. Everyone knows you can get away with publicly criticizing Canadian energy companies, especially on Canadian soil. The protection of the right to such expressions is enshrined in our constitution. We’re an easy mark, because we allow people to use such fundamental rights and freedoms that we take for granted as a means of attacking those same rights and freedoms from within, without repercussion. Say what you will about Russia, China, Iran or Saudi Arabia, but at least those countries have the balls to enforce their so-called “values” with the full force of the law.
That’s not an endorsement, as I find these nations just as abhorrent as the next guy. I’m just noting that they take a hard stance against anyone who tries to change, undermine or subvert their national laws and ideologies. Canada is nothing like these countries in law, culture or ideology, but it wouldn’t hurt to adopt a stronger position against assaults from within, especially those that threaten national interests, and seek the destruction and dismantling of crucial Canadian industries.

“Guess why the same activists who protested Tim Horton’s Enbridge ads said nothing about Gasprom’s at FIFA game”

Well, that is because it is only Canadian oilsands oil that contains those evil hydrocarbons and its all Harper’s fault! Everyone knows that! :)

You are right Maurice.

Why? Because the Enviro – “Mentals” are on the same Socialist Team wanting to cripple the democracies and impose Communism on the world! My opinion of course.

I personally believe it is envy that motivates these activists. 30 million in the 2nd largest country. 1/5 of the words fresh water. Oil reserves equal to Saudi Arabia. Every natural resource. Predominantly God fearing nation. Other than spineless beurocrats without the resolve to reject minority activists, we are the almost the best place on earth and they want to take it or take us down

Ezra, you’re forgetting how Russia treated the Greenpeace “environmentalists” who boarded an oil platform in Russian waters (they were jailed, and their ship seized and threatened to be confiscated and sold). These “environmentalist protesters” of whichever stripe know Russia and most other Eastern and Middle-Eastern countries won’t put up with their bs. They attack us because we let them get away with it. So what if they’re funded by Russia, or the US, or Iran, or whoever? We listen to them, plain and simple. We put up with their hijinks and meddling.

And there’s the problem.

The reason that ethical oil and gas is demonized by environmental groups, Hollywood elites and Liberal Socialist politicians, while giving conflict and dictator ship oil and gas a free pass, is the same reason that of all the world’s religions, Christianity and Judaism…. the religions that teach “Love your enemy, do good to those who spitefully use you” are vilified as intolerant. It’s because Satan is the father of lies and the truth is not in him. When western civilization rejected its Christian foundation, this was bound to happen.

Enbridge was under attack because George “the head pig” Soros pays for these protestors to harass organizations that Soros chooses.

The good news is that Soros is old and should die soon – and this could not come soon enough.

That’s a shocker. Perhaps we should wake our populace up and tell them that Russia is invading? Wait… we did that to death. The Boy Who Cried Wolf sound familiar?
